...are you waltzing???

Tomorrow we're having our monthly blog waltz - come play along!! make a card/project with a masculine theme, get your blog post/gallery link ready and post it to our forum here.

You can get the full details right here.

In the meantime, I will leave you with some pics of Ireland, we haven't had any in a while and it's high time I did my bit for Irish Tourism!!! These were all taken in Mayo, on the road from Westport heading towards Achill Island - we took some little detours and found these gems.

A house at the entrance to Newport town

Rockfleet castle - Once home to pirate queen Grace O'Malley

Burrishoole Friary - a useful info plaque was displayed, scroll down to read more about Burrishoole.

The Atlantic drive at Achill, mere photos cannot begin to capture the sheer beauty of this area...

Feeling refreshed??? lol, right, now go make something for the waltz!!!

  1. Beautiful photos, Claire. Eric will go to Ireland next week and I'm sure he'll come home with such beautiful photos too.

    I don't think I'll be waltzing. :-( Haven't had time to create a card.

  10. Oh, how I miss Britain. I haven't made it to Ireland yet, but I will. My family is Scottish, and now my brother lives in Edinburgh... I just so love the history that you find over there, compared to such a lack of it here in Canada. Your pictures are just beautiful, and I liked the history about the friary... so interesting!

  11. Beautiful pics, Claire. I never wanted to visit Ireland before (loving plaid and bagpipes, Scotland seemed the place to go for me), but after seeing these pics and the ones you have posted in your "Pictures of Ireland" gallery, I can now say I'd love to go there someday. We just don't have the beautiful OLD stone castles, etc, that you have here in Calif, (there's a "castle" built here at a winery, but it is what; about 5 yrs old! ;-)and we are green in the winter, but usually with no rain from June to October, Our hills are very brown through the summer, even turning a silvery brown in the late fall. I'd say you've done your part for Irish tourism :-D Cheers to you! I have to go get busy for the waltz! Have a great day!!
