Wow, that's a toughie - I can't imagine the overall shape at all! I'm really diggin the star pattern, though. Maybe it's some kind of hat.

You certainly have left us with a conundrum but I think they might be birds wings.

That's a toughie! My guess would be that they might be some of the parts needed to make a pinwheel? Hope I'm right!

Hi Claire,
It's looking like part of a flag to me-but will have to wait another few days to see it and the rest of the new goodies!

Serena said...

Love the star pattern! Makes me think of a flag but the shape doesn't fit that so I'm going to agree with the others - pinwheel.

Deborah Frings said...

Pin wheel? The ears of a bow!! I think it's a bow - a patriotic bow!

Looking forward to seeing what's on offer!

Super Jen said...

I immediately thought pinwheel. Have a great day!

IamDerby said...

LOVE! I think its a pattern of a pinwheel or maybe a bird's wing. Cute wings and bodies- interchangeable? That would be awesome!

Kara said...

A pinwheel???

Jen said...

Curious thing that! At first I thought wings (bird low, flaps up) but that funny cut out on the lower, right "wing" just didn't fit in my mind. So then I thought pinwheel also because maybe that cut out is supposed to show where the top lifts over the bottom, but then why doesn't it curve all the way to the top similar to the way the left 'wing' does? The points at the tops definitely fit pinwheel or one of those big puffy round bows with a button in the middle. Either way, I'll be back to see more GREAT Clare-creations tomorrow!

Joyce said...

I'm going with a pinwheel.

Anne-Elise said...

Not an easy one! Wings, pinwheel, flower,...?? Well, don't know... let's say pinwheell! Can't wait to see what it is!!

Mandy P. said...

Going against the grain and going with a cape, hopefully on a boy styled after Cicely and Gracie.

Cathy Weber said...

I guess a surfboard. That looks summery to me!

Sharron said...

I am so excited about all the peeks! Not sure about this one though. I can see why there are lots of guesses about pinwheels but I'm not sure. Love the stars! Does this go in the set with the sun, with maybe a moon? Can't wait to see the samples!

LaurieJ said...

This is intriguing! I looks a bit like part of a hat - a patriot type one.

I am thinking maybe a pin-wheel as they are becoming very popular this summer.

Karol L said...

I am thinking a pin-wheel. They seem to be very popular this summer and lots of fun to make.

Karen M said...

I think it looks like part of a flag but then it would be an American flag and there are lots of those around. Then I thought it might be part of the sails of a yacht! Kx

Karol L said...

At first I thought a pin-wheel, they are very popular this summer, then I thought nooo maybe a paper bow, they are starting to big a new craft idea, then I thought I don't know. I will have to wait till tomorrow to find out.

Wee windmill?

Cynde said...

I think it may be part of a flag set. Could be a 4th of July set. How about a quilt top set? I give...Will see later in the week. Thanks for the fun.

Ansa said...

That´s a difficult one! Stars and stripes, a surfer or some kind of wings ?????? Please tell I hate waiting :-)

Helen L said...

My daughter said "Bat Wings" and my other daughter agreed and even drew out how it would work :-) My first thought was a cape flying behind a little boy, or an eagle's wings while it's in flight, but since you're not american I'm guessing that you won't be going with the 4th of July theme, so I don't really know: you've made it too "sneaky" :-D Can't wait to see things tomorrow: it'll be great, I'm sure!! Hugs to you, sweet Claire.

Janet said...

I thought of a waving flag at first, but a second glance makes me think of a pinwheel. Can't wait to see the entire set!

Lynn W. said...

Yup - I still think it's a pinwheel! I saw the Spellbinders blog today and they are releasing a set of pinwheel dies, so I think that Claire is ahead of the game and may have come up with a stamp set to go with them? What fun!

I'm excited about the release.

Part of a pinwheel to match the new spellbinders's dies?

Tracey McNeely said...

Is it a fish?

Kathi said...

Hi :-)
This looks like it's very versatile... background for christmas or a wizard cape or a flag or a wings of an angel or a pinwheel.

Flower petals, maybe? I can't wait to see!

Kate said...

One of those twirling thingies that kids play with. Otherwise known as a bird scarer that I use in my potager. Can't wait to see the samples tomorrow.

Joan said...

I have no idea. This is a toughie. It never occurred to me that this could be a pinwheel, so I am going with a chocolate chip cookie because I woke up hungry!

Love the star pattern....hmmm...

Kate said...

Well if it's not wings or a flag, could it be parts of a car? Hmm, I think I agree with Tara

Sonia said...

I have no idea! Can't wait for Sunday! (I fell in love with the two little frogs from "Heroines - Fairy Princess"!)

Is it pinwheels? ;)

Katherine said...

This looks like a super hero's hat to me. I can't wait to find out! I'm excited!

Asha said...

Gonna go out on a limb and say its part of a hero's cape. A mini super-hero to go with the Half Pint Heroes set, perhaps? It's definitely something super-cute!

Crisanne said...

I'm stumped on this one!! I'm hoping a wee pin-wheel set!

Ren-Yi said...

oh Claire - your sets are always a hit. i will have to guest pinwheel too because it has these flairs!

So looking forward to the previews!

Sam B said...

Hmmm...I'm thinking part of a super-hero costume to go with the Hero-Heroine sets...2nd choice is pinwheel and 3rd guess is a waving flag...intrigued at any rate, and I like the stars so can't wait to see what it really is!

nancy jane said...

Looks like the makings of a pinwheel to me.

Liz said...

Hmmmm what can it be????? with so many people saying a pin wheel I'm thinking it could be but maybe that is what you want us to think and your going to blow our mind when you tell us what it is , can't wait for the suprise and I'm sure it will be .

Unknown said...

Well, it sure looks like you could make a pinwheel with this. Love the star pattern. I'm curoius to see what it really is...trying to think out of the box...not getting any ideas.

Purrfect Paper Creations said...

Well, I decided to ask my kids what they saw in the picture . . . thought it might be fun! My daughter said it looked like part of a hat, my son--a roller coaster! I personally thought it might be some kind of flag type theme . . . then I read the comments, would love it if this were a pinwheel! Can't wait to see the answer!
