A super quick card today to show you one of the teeny tiny elements from one of this months new releases, Free Spirit Boy. (if you are new here i release new clear photopolymer stamps 1st of every month, check out what's fresh here)
Those tiny squares, what to do with them...ho hum?
Well I have a few ideas, lets start with using them as colour accents. One option is to stamp them in the colour of your choice, but also don't forget you can colour the little open boxes as well.
I have used a really tiny amount of colour on today's guy card. I have a few dudes around me who are very minimalistic in outlook, not least of which is my DH, lets pretend he's 19, for the benefit of my blog reading daughter, lol. DH doesn't like a lot of fuss but still appreciates when I take time out to whip up a little card.
This is the sort of think that goes together literally in seconds and looks smart. A herringbone cuttlebug embossing folder provides a little texture and all edges are inked, for a bit more contrast. I used memento rich cocoa, so's I could colour my wee squares with copics and the delicious distress ink Tumbled Glass.
Inside I couldn't resist the wee paper aeroplane outline coupled with an inspirational sentiment from Free Spirit Sentiments.
Hope it tickles!
What a great guy card!!!

ReplyDeleteLove it! CAS you do well, Claire. At first glance, I thought the herringbone CB was actually your knit stamp! I'm going to try with that (even tho I have that folder-lol) and emboss it for texture.
ReplyDeleteSee? I'm inspired already!
Thanks for making my icky day a whole lot better :)
