Ok, so I wanted to try the pink version of yesterday's card, lol, I dunno, does it suit me better? I think I'll stick with green...lol
Things I like: the stamping, the piercing, the ribbon. I love the wee co-ordinating branch that I used to stamp on the Kraft mat to make that wee 'scandic style' border decoration
Things I'm not so happy 'bout: the shade of the Kraft cardstock, it's too dark, I need a source for a lighter colour Kraft cardstock...picky, aren't I? lol
Stamps are from the new
Faux Fun Circles.
Hope it tickles!
enourmous lol!
ReplyDeleteI love this version, The pink is more subtle comparing to the green version and I recken Mums would love this one.
Beautiful soft card Claire...love it....really want to go make one now....thanks for taking the time to make it - we really appreciate samples...kind regards.
ReplyDeleteI actually like this card better - I love the softness of the colors and the piercing. The ribbon and the way you tied it up with the buttons, just knocked me off my shoes! Hope you don't mind I will case that....
ReplyDeleteI like the ribbon as it's size and color tone down the kraft that you don't seem to like - it's darkness. It also acts as the perfect frame for your art. Personally, I like the card, if you want lighter try the direct to paper rubbing a white or Brilliance Moonlight white over the kraft to tone it down. I'm just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteOh Claire it's gorgeous!!! But then again I'm a big fan of all things pink and all things Waltzingmouse. I like the depth the darker kraft adds to the base of this card. A lighter kraft would be nice to have though. :0)
ReplyDeleteOh I love this one too though!! It has such an elegant feel to it :)
ReplyDeleteIts gorgeous Claire!! :)
ReplyDeleteGheesum, Claire, I can't wait to get my fingers on those springs!! I do like the green better, but I love all of it and them, lol! Can we say St. Patty's???
ReplyDeleteOff to find a nesties egg to order, lol lol lol!!
OK.... to tell the truth and just to add some balance.... I actually prefer the green one.
ReplyDeleteI'll now go and crawl back into my hole!
Angela xxx.
Oy! Love all that beautiful piercing and your color palette is simply gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Claire! I love both versions but this one with the piercing is so elegant!
ReplyDeleteJust linked up with your fabulous blog thru Networked Blogs over here in The US...hope you will do the same at Julie's Open Window.
ReplyDeleteLove your work!
Thrilled! Really like the impact of the piercing technique. My order with Faux Fun Circles arrived on my doorstep yesterday--so glad it was not a work day and DH was late coming home so I could ink up all my wonders. Just had to C.A.S.E. this card, then it was off to create a few images of my own. Good show, Claire.
ReplyDeleteJust thought of something re: the comment about the kraft being too dark--what about some rustic cream CS, it would be lighter, but too light?
Claire I actually like this one better... I really love the softness of it. Of course both are beautiful! I got my stamps today and I am in love! in love I tell ya! take care.
ReplyDeleteHi Claire, I am going to put in my vote for the pink version which I just love. I also love to paper pierce, so this ticks two of my boxes!. As to the colour of the kraft, I know exactly what you mean. If you can get hold of it, try SU's Sahara Sand shade of card which is just gorgeous and which I often reach for when I want something in the kraft-ish range but a bit softer.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous!!!! the soft color wonderfull! it look like a quilting !!!! Brava
ReplyDeleteThe soft colors are lovely on this one Claire - and that ribbon is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi claire
ReplyDeleteThey are both very beautifull.
I like the wee border decoration very much.
But for a gift to a man I would prefer the green one.
Groetjes Holly.
What a wonderful way to work the ribbon into a lovely creation!
