http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=3006&categoryId=16

My card for this set features that cute crab! LOL, that is gonna be such a useful sentiment in this house... I used the Water droplets stencil from Gina K to create the background, perfect for this stamp set! this little set is jam packed with punny sentiments and cute critters!

Next up is my set - Perfect Poinsettia: It's a layering set and I have a little cheat sheet showing you how to layer these easily. Feel free to screenshot this for future reference!

If you have this set, you will notice that I kept the centres of each of the layer stamps as similar as possible so that you can just line these up over each other to get a perfect match - the video is coming tho if you need a little visual!

I have two cards for this post, for which I created a red poinsettia and a white poinsettia. Gina's inks are great for layering and you could create just about any combination of colours!

I made the green leaves behind the flowers by just re-stamping the main flower in shades of green, super simple!

My first card features Melanie's new set, Fabulous Rose Frame:

http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=3004&categoryId=16

I stamped the largest image onto white cardstock and coloured it with copics. I then trimmed it out with the matching die. I went round the outside of the image with a black copic marker so that when I mounted it on a black card base, the flowers and leaves would look like they were floating in the black. I like this look it reminds me of toleware.

The stamp has space in the centre for a sentiment and for my second card I thought I'd colour in the centre space black as well and then use the small oval die from the matching die set. I sliced around the 4 central leaves and popped them open a little so I could slide in the oval, which I gently curved. I like how this looks also.

My second set of cards features Theresa's new set The Wetlands 2:

http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=3005&categoryId=16

I stamped the simple tree shapes in versamark and clear embossed them on white card and then I got out the sponges and went crazy sponging with Gina K Inks, Passionate Pink, Wild Dandelion, Jellybean Green and Sweet Mango, I love these shades together. I wanted a nice cheery card to reinforce the feel better soon sentiment, also from the set. I sponged the card base to match and popped the image up on white and pink mats.

I couldn't resist gold embossing the dragon fly image several times on a white card front, I thin gold embossing looks fab coloured with shades of teal and green, which I used here on the dragon flies. I love this sentiment, also from Theresa's set!

Hope these tickle a little, I can't wait to get around all the other DT posts!! Don't forget to comment on all the DT posts to be in with a chance of winning a $50 Gina K Designs gift certificate!

To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop. Ready for some inspiration? Here are a few of the projects I have created for today’s hop:

I  paired up my wise old owl with one of the papers from the Simple Things paper pack. I took my colour inspration from the paper and created a wee background for my owl using trees and bushes from the Cottage Garden set.

I love this guy with his mug of hot stuff, I made him the focal point and cut him out using the matching dies. I created a patterned BG paper by stamping all of the owls in black ink onto the
Blue lagoon cardstock.

The peony stamp is so pretty, I embossed it in gold and then just coloured it simply in pink and gold - I could see this for a wedding card also!

Here was a card you might have seen already, but in case not, I popped it in to show how the peony stamp is so detailed that you really don't even need to colour it if you need a quick card. Here it's embossed in copper.

That incentive set is going to be so useful - you'll be able to pair it up with so many of your existing Gina K sets, here I've matched it with a cupcake from my Sweet Thing stamp set.
Thanks for hopping with us folks - don't forget to comment to be in with a chance of winning a prize!

... Blog Title: Gina K Designs –Inspiration Blog Hop – Day 2

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous blog hop celebrating the new stamp sets by Gina K and the illustrator team from Gina K Designs! We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs! Today, we are featuring the stamp sets by Beth Silaika and myself!

http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=2955&categoryId=16

I adore the whale in Beth's set and stamped it twice onto Gina K white cardstock. I coloured them with copics and then trimmed them out. I made a background panel by blending some Gina K Inks - I used Wild Dandelion, Jellybean Green and Blue Lagoon. I speckled the panel with some water and layered on my whales. I made some fun water spouts with pva glue - I just 'drew' the spouts freehand with the tip of my glue tube. It dried nice and clear and then I went over the spouts one last time with the glue again and this time added some white glitter, I love how this turned out.

For my dolphin card I stamped the dolphin 4 tames and coloured him up. Again I stamped on white cardstock and trimmed them out. The sentiment panel was cut out with a circle stitch die from the Gina K/Thermoweb stitched circle die set.

I'm excited about that background - I used one of the new Gina K STENCILS!!! it's called Water drop and instead of using it as a stencil, I embossed it onto white cardstock befroe sponging with Wild Dandelion and Sweet mango inks - I LOVE the look!

I arranged my dolphins around the circle to finish.

Next up - my new Lovely Lilies set.

http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=2950&categoryId=16

This is a layering set and it's quite easy to achieve different styles of flower with this set.
My first card is bold and contemporary - I used just the solid stamps to make the flower for this one. I trimmed it out and popped it up on a sponged background. I used a sentiment from Chris's new set (more on that tomorrow).

To achieve a more traditional style I used the outline stamps on the next couple of cards - I only used two of the solid layers on this flower. There's a handy graphic below that shows how to layer the solid stamps. I'm prepping a quick video on layering these.

For the card below I created my blooms in the same way, I stamped two of the solid layers in Tomato Soup and Innocent pink. Then I stamped the outlines and stamens in Dark Chocolate. The stamens were clear embossed also. The speckles were stamped in Lipstick. I layered them over some leaves and popped them up in front of a background that I created using the Cottage Garden stamp set. I thought it made a charming backdrop for this happily ever after card.

This graphic gives you an idea of how the layers work together.

I hope you have enjoyed these samples and I encourage you to pop over and see what the rest of the Gina K folks have been making. ...Simple Lilies

http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=2950&categoryId=16

Morning folks and a very Happy 4th July to all my USA buddies!

A wee simple set of cards today for you, using just the solid stamps from the Lovely Lilies stamp set this time, I left off the outlines and I love how this looks. Been playing with my Gina K Inks, layering them up and there are some fab combos to use, I have used:
Cherry Red, red Hot and Innocent Pink - the stamen is stamped in black and then clear embossed.

The Blue Lily uses Blue Lagoon and Ocean Mist, I only stamped two layers on this flower, Stamen was in Christmas Pine.

The Yellow Lily is stamped in Sweet Mango, Wild Dandelion and Lemon Drop. This time the Stamen was stamped in Cherry Red. All sentiments were stamped in Black ink and co-ordinating cards from Gina K were used, I love matching inks and cardstock! :)

Here's the complete set and a wee graphic to show how you can layer the stamps to get the look you like.

... Bold Lilies

http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=2950&categoryId=16

I'm in shock, it's the first of July! How in heck? I really don't think I experience time the way everyone else in my house does, feel like I've just gotten squared up after Christmas... anywhoo...

Today I have another card, this time a set, that I shared at the release party - there was quite the scramble on the StampTV website at the release party and the whole thing sort of froze so I'm popping my cards up here for anyone who wanted to see them. Gina has just released a cracking new bunch of goodies, to see what's new click here.

http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=2950&categoryId=16

http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=2950&categoryId=16

Among the goodies is my new set Lovely Lilies (above), and in contrast to yesterday's card, I made this quick set of more contemporary styled cards using just two layers of the lily flowers plus the stamen. I used Wild dandelion ink and Sweet mango on white card and the stamens were stamped in Cherry Red Gina K ink. I made the card base from Sweet Mango Card.love the matchy matchy.

While I was at it I had fun playing with other inks from my Gina K collection. I love a stamp set that I can use to whip up fast cards!

Using Passionate Pink and Bubblegum Pink, again Cherry Red for the stamens.

Jellybean Green, Grass green and Christmas Pine.

Hope they tickle!

...Lovely Lilies

Morning! Last night we had the Gina K new stamp release - there's a ton of new goodies available over at Gina's - to see all the new stuff pop over here.

My new set is called Lovely Lilies and it's a layering set that you can use in a few different ways. Here's what it looks like:
http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=2950&categoryId=16

The main Lily image comes broken down into three solid layers plus a line art outline, plus a separate stamen stamp, and you can use all of these together or you can use only a couple of the layers, or maybe just the lineart outline - that's a good option if you like to colour with copics or pencils, or maybe watercolours.

Just in case you could use a little help putting these together I have a little graphic for you:

I'm still working on a video, but I can tell you right now that my favourite way to stamp these is to begin with the darker colour first and then stamp the medium tone over that finishing up with the lightest tone, it is way easy to line them up when you do it this way. Thanks for popping in, if you have any questions, just leave me a comment :)
