...winner announced and our Big News!

LOL, that was a bit of fun and I loved reading your answers ladies, cheers for playing along. The winner was drawn at random from all the completely correct answers and was this comment:

shirley-bee said... I think it's a PayPal chip and pin machine for taking payment at shows and other out-and-about events. Come round to my house and I'll test it out for you ;)

Shirley, pop me a note at claire@waltzingmousestamps.com with your choice of set and I will get it right out to you!

Shirley-bee was absolutely correct, it's a Paypal card reader - and we need it because Waltzingmouse Stamps is going to a craft show!

A while back I was contacted by one of the organisers of the Happy Stampers Festivals. It was the loveliest invite to anything that I ever received in my life! I absolutely could not say no, even though I have turned down many craft fairs in the past! Normally there is simply not enough hours in the day for me to even consider taking time out to prep for and attend a show - but somehow I forgot all about that and said I'd go!!

So on the Saturday 4th October, Waltzingmouse Stamps will be in attendance at the Happy Stampers Northwest Stamping Festival in Port Sunlight, Wirral, Liverpool!

I can't really believe it yet myself! lol.

Are any of you going? You can get more details from their website here. It's a ticket only event and I hear the tickets are already nearly sold out!

We've only ever done one fair venue before and I must admit to a little nervous excitement! I'd love to hear if you have any craft fair stories or tips to share, since we are really newbies at this!

  1. Wonderful news! Sadly I'm in the USA now!!!! The Port Sunlight show is my local show when I live in North Wales - so sad that I'll miss it. I hope you have a very successful show. xx

  2. Woo Hoo! I am beyond excited to read this as I have already got my ticket for the Happy Stampers show at Port Sunlight and can't wait to meet you there!

I have missed the last couple of shows, but have been going for about 8 years now and it really is my very favorite show - you will love it! It is run by a lovely group of ladies who are all passionate about stamping and it's such a friendly show to visit. Hulme Hall is a lovely old building too (the Beatles once played there), it's full of wood paneling and ornate plasterwork and tiling. Port Sunlight village is very pretty too. I'm sure you will enjoy it - I know I will (even more so now I know that you'll be there)!

  4. Wow congrats to Shirley-Bee and to you of course... very exciting! I was totally thrown that the numbers seemed to read from top down, whereas calculators read bottom up, and never knew Paypal chip-and-pin existed, haha! Rx
