Spotted this in Joyce's craft shop in Recess, Connemara, a couple of weeks ago - I love the sentiment. Joyce's is full of beautiful knitwear and woven goods, but the Brennans exited with three wooden swords... my days of leisurely browsing gift shops is long gone, but I'm happy to play the wounded Norman so it's grand...
Anyhow, this is my cover note for why I have no card on the blog today - been pinning down a future release today, and its beginning to look like
Waltzingmouse Stamps may be able to begin using a static release day - wouldn't that be a good idea? imagine if we were able to release on the same date every month - we'd all know where we were then!! I'm getting a little excited!
Would love to know what you'd think of that so if you care to comment I will enter your 'hat' in a draw for a free stamp set! I'll draw a winner on Wed night! midnight my time, you have until then!
I love chalk art and I am glad to see businesses getting artsy. LOL. wow, tying up a few loose ends and reducing stress would be fantastic for your business. Don't know how you do it, but hats off to you. I would be a nervous wreck every month. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteI alwayas love looking forward to word on new releases. A set date would be wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAng
Sounds like a plan to me! New stamps are always welcome and a more regular release would be ideal.
ReplyDeleteClaire having a set date each month for a new release is great.. as long as it is not pressure on you! I would mark my calendar!!!! It tickles!!
ReplyDeleteSince life is so full of expected things, it is lovely to have some some dates to look forward to every month : D. I think it's a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm a creature of habit, so I love the idea of regular releases!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool idea.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a set date every month! :)
ReplyDeleteI would love that... easy to keep track of!
ReplyDeleteI think a set date is a great idea. If I was planning on purchasing a stamp set I would then know to wait a few days longer to see the new stamps just in case (as always) I also wanted one of the new sets! I guess it would make it easier for the DT also too? Knowing in advance reguarily when they would have to have samples made for etc?!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Claire ... especially if it works out that your fixed date is different from others ... that way we have more 'space' to enjoy it (and make those all important choices!) Anita :)
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering about when WMS would have a Christmas release. Knowing when the releases will be helps plan my spending. A monthly release sounds difficult though. So much work. But if you are up for it, it would be great!
ReplyDeleteSame date every month sounds like a brill idea. It also allows people to budget for their stamps each month, knowing that there will be a release. Plus it gives stampers lots to look forward to!
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me , a lovely sentiment by the way .
ReplyDeleteYou can never have too many wooden swords around the house :) A set release day schedule would be great as then I can save my pennies in readiness for all of the tempting designs you bring our way!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea Claire! It would be fantastic knowing we would all have that to look forward to every month! Bring it on!! Karen Steele
ReplyDeleteI always love the build-up to a new release so a static day would be the icing on the cake.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great idea, you used to do that a while ago and it was great :)
ReplyDeleteI'd be happy either way, you have to look at what works best for the business :)
ReplyDeleteI do like a regular release, but I find monthly a little overwhelming! Regular releases assist in budget management. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI prefer to know regular release day, it's like Christmas coming on a regular basis ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea. I would have something to look forward every month. And it would make a lot easier to decide when to make a purchase.
ReplyDeleteIf it helps you, then that has to be a good thing- we'll turn up to release dates whenever they are!
ReplyDeleteA static release day would be a brilliant idea. And next step your beautiful text stamps in german language? ;-)
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm there no matter, but it would be easier, and make things full of anticipation. Gorgeous chalk art. We have a chef pig in the kitchen that holds a chalk board. The grandkids take turns drawing seasonal pictures. Halloween is Nate's turn. 1st of the month, the board will turn spooky!
ReplyDeleteA steady release schedule would be fabulous news! I love to see as many of your stamps as possible!
ReplyDeleteI love routine so a set date for releases sounds great, but having it every other month is perfectly fine too rather than every month. We don't want you to burn out! :) Can't wait to see what the next release holds!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be a great idea!
ReplyDeleteTo keep a business afloat in this crazy economy is impressive. Keep up the great work. I love your designs! Wish I could purchase them all. But I always come to see your releases... Static or otherwise. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Easier for everyone too!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, yes! Long overdue and a brilliant idea! :)
ReplyDeleteWell, regular releases would be wonderful for me and I can imagine for you too!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting closer to chaotic order. hahaha It would be nice to always know when to expect new designs. Makes it easier to save up for them.
ReplyDeleteThis new chalk look is so fresh and hip. I love this look.
ReplyDeleteLove this chalk art. Yes I would like the releases to be on the same date every month.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed the serendipity of irregular releases, but I'll be just as happy with a static release day. Yes, it tickles!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds a great idea, provided you wouldn't be under too much pressure.
ReplyDeleteA set release day would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteI think a set date for new releases would be a great idea. Then we would be able to plan (& budget) accordingly. Plus, I think it would help build the excitement level.
ReplyDeleteA set release date would be heavenly. Even if it were every other month instead of every month. Gives you a breather and we have tie to save our pennies. (If only it were just pennies!) LOL
ReplyDeleteClaire, I am going to 'second' the comments by "snowbear" here.
ReplyDeleteAdded stress for any of us would not make me feel better, but there IS something to be said FOR 'regularity'. ;)

A set date every month would be lovely!
ReplyDeleteI'm anxious to make some chalk cards.
ReplyDeleteNew releases on a set date will be amazing!
ReplyDeleteHaving a set date would be great! It will take a whole lot of organization :) I'm rooting for you Clare!!! I love WMS!
ReplyDeleteAugh - I'm more excited by the lovely graphics on the blackboard (I would have been photographing it too) - love to have a go at doing that given time...all those Victorian style swirls and curves..mmmmm....however to answer your question it matters not a jot to me when you release......you are unique...I'm probably the only one who doesn't mind at all.
