Afternoon folks, I am trying to squeeze a little crafting in between shipping and today i made these little straw topper thingies, I reckon I can pop out a bunch of these for a few of the Festive get togethers I am planning over Christmas, the Gingerbread family dies do make this sort of thing so much quicker I have to say! - and look at his little rosy cheeks!! lol!
I stamped the gingies with Distress Ink - 'Tea Dye' I believe it's called but it gives a lovely biscuit toned uneveness - good crumb as Mary might say... added a spot of embossing on the wee white ric rac bits and a cheery smile, ooh and pink cheeks - all using the stamps in the Gingerbread Joy-Half Baked set - I was able to add spotty, striped and plain waistcoats and even a couple of bow ties!
If you don't want to have to build a gingie you might use your Oven Fresh Gingerbread set. Stuck the guys to a few straws - a simple way to help set up a holiday mood on the table! My sort of thing, the work of moments!
The Gingerbread family dies are open faced, so you can position them over the stamped image to trim out your gingies!
So cute Claire - love what you created.
