...Herringbone and Brogue

Sounds like a good name for a menswear store...Herringbone and Brogue - thought i would put those two patterns together on my card for today. I stamped the Brogue pattern from My Kind of Guy twice, back to back in Versamark and then embossed it with clear embossing powder before sponging....always with the sponging, someday I'll find a new technique to play with....

Then I stamped my herringbone (Little Box Labels) in a brown ink, name forgotten... Made a little panel for the sentiment (from Man of the Hour) with a notepad punch and added a wee bit of ribbon, not too much... I thought I would highlight part of the sentiment and so I stamped it again on yellow card and trimmed out the 'even when' bit and popped it onto the sentiment. Another simple and fast one for the stash...just a quickie, it's turning out to be a busy weekend...Happy National Scrapbook day to you! Really must make a scrap layout some of these days....

  2. Can a man's card be beautiful? Well, regardless...I'm saying this one is! I love the yellow accents and what to me looks like a puffy shirt behind that fab sentiment panel...the kicker? That ribboned clip...genius!

  3. I think this is super. Love the splashes of yellow - and that sentiment is one of my all time favourites. Great work.
