Good morning folks! I have a couple of little cards to kick start the samples for our March stamp release! We are releasing 3 new stamp sets on Friday 8th and today we begin showing you what they look like!
The first set up is called A Good Egg it's a 4x6 inch set packed to bursting with images and sentiments based on the theme of eggs. This is great for some last moment Easter-ings, but mainly it's an all year round set. With a total of 21 stamps, this has to be one of our best value sets ever.
You will see the fine detail when the release goes live on Friday night, in the meantime, feast your eyes on our Design Team creations using A Good Egg, we have 22 folks including myself! You're going to need coffee!

I invite you to pin your favourite sample from today's Design Team creations on your Pinterest board. Use the Keyword #WMSagoodegg in the caption to your pin.
On Friday at 6:00pm, just before the release goes live at 7:00pm, I will gather all the pins with the keyword #WMSagoodegg and pick a random pinner to win this set of stamps! This sounds like such a fun idea that I think I'll do one of these for each of the sets we preview this week!
So back to today's cards - for my baby card at the top of the post, I used a quilted egg stamp, and popped one of the little chick images inside, I inked him up with yellow ink but then just dabbed at his feet with some orange ink before I stamped him. I used a piercing tool to ark out where his eye would be. The background is the Woodgrain backgrounder from this set.
The actual egg shape was cut out on the Silhouette Cameo from the cut file bundle that will be available to co-ordinate with this set. There are oodles of cut files for this stamp set, 28 in fact, that will provide endless options for layering your images and designing cute focal points for your cards and projects.
The mat and banner shape are cut files from the set also.
For this little Easter card, above and below, I used yet more cut files from the set. I love the spiky egg with a window, it makes such a neat place to stamp one of the little animals! This time I chose a cute bunny to feature. I stamped a patterned background with some of the images in the set - can you see that there are two bunnies - matching pairs! A feature of this set is the three matching pairs of little spring animals. I used the stamping off technique whereby you stamp the first strong image onto a piece of scrap paper and use the second impression on your card. I liked the softness, but it still co-ordinates beautifully with the main focal point.
Hope it tickles!
I LOVED working with this stamp set, so VERY versatile, all the samples are great, and everyone who buys this set will not ever be disappointed, TOTALLY dreamy!

Great idea to include reverse images of the animals - I know it's possible to mirror using acetate but it's never quite the same. Telling you here how cute your springy cards are cuz I'm not a Pinterester.

ReplyDeleteSo much great inspiration from the all the ladies too - I had fun pinning my fave! Love the idea of a Pin It To Win It! Rx
Clare - awesome set and some fabulous cards from your DT. Did the hop - some DT girls did not provide the hop list in the same order/provide it at all. Also it's easier for us if they leave their own name on the list and say (ME) in brackets so you can remember where you are up to on the hop! Still I love the set, and glad I persevered through the hop!
