Yep, the news is already out (- My blog post for this morning was delayed, due to technical issues on the store, but you don't want to hear about that!) Our big news today is the official launch of Green Room Designs at Waltzingmouse Stamps.
Anya Schrier is the illustrator behind Green Room Designs and the first set of the line - today's preview set, Heirloom Patterns. I am honored to have been in the privileged position of being able to help Anya launch a dream of hers, to see her designs become reality. I wish Anya every success with her line, and I am really looking forward to see what the future brings for Green Room Designs! Anya's new set will make up one of the nine that we are releasing here on the blog tomorrow!! I invite everyone, if you haven't already, to pop over to Anya's blog and wish her well!!
Anya's impeccable stamping style has been showcasing WMS stamps nearly since we began and I just knew her first set would feature clean crisp graphics, I am delighted to (finally) show you my samples today.
Just in case you haven't visited the ladies yet here re the DT links:
I mounted the diamond panel on a kraft card base that I had first stamped with a doodad from the Florentine frippery set. Then I made the sentiment panel.
I used a Very vintage labels 4 stamp with white ink (PTI) and trimmed it out with the corresponding die from the Spellbinders labels 4 set. Then I added my sentiment from the new Compact Sentiments set - Ideal for the smaller labels.
I added some white die cuts made with the Holly Accents die set, also Spellbinders, and some tiny adhesive pearls. A couple of strips of ribbon and I had to set it down, lol, I could have kept going...
My second card also used the diamonds but in a completely different way - I stamped a diamond pattern 3/4 of the way across the piece of card, then I overlaid some slightly darker diamonds on top, about a quarter of the way across, almost like an argyle pattern. I liked how the colour progresses across the card front. I did a little sponging, because quite honestly I feel naked without it..
For my focal point I used the butterfly (again....lol, it's a bit of a favorite...) I trimmed out a butterfly shape first with my Craft Robo and then stamped the butterfly. I then decided that I wanted a ginger coloured mat for my ginger butterfly and so I whipped up a mat that echoed the shape of the butterfly and extended a little to the right in a rectangular shape so that I had somewhere to stamp a sentiment. A flower and some fabby velvet ribbons to finish...ooh and a little stitching...love stitching...
hope it tickles!!!
I'll be back tomorrow with a little schedule for the big release tomorrow night!!!!
Gorgeous, love this whole release!

Brilliant design Claire. EEK...the mat/sentiment space you created with your Robocraft is AMAZING! It gives this beautiful butterfly just the right spot to light. Your double stamping on the diamond shape is a fantastic touch as well.

Wow, Claire, two fab cards (and I love the effect of the mat for the b'fly, will have to see if I can get that to work in Scal!) but the first card is truly stunning in every way!! Ooo, love the diamond patterns. Your Christmas card looks A.MAZ.ING! I really like the white against the Kraft - and I spy some sweet little accents behind thd main panel - brilliant! The second card is stunning - those colours are so warm. Very sweet butterfly and sentiment & I love how you sponged the ink to create the graduated green.
