...something different...

ED again - this comp is now closed!! Thanks for playing!

ED - I'm extending this to Sunday Night, I'm having too much fun reading what you are all guessing!!!lol!

You know how we went bimonthly recently? well, we're sticking to that for a while yet....with one exception....August.

I have a little something up my sleeve that just can't wait until September. It's a welcome addition to our range of stamps, something I have been asked for and it's nearly ready!!

I did promise a few folks I would have a little peeky today so here it is...but I've been a bit bold, I have completely resized the item that you can see here, I want to have a little fun with it - I want you to guess what sort of stamp it is, so, bearing in mind that this little bit of image is nowhere near the actual size it appears on the stamp, what is it?

Give me your best guesses, I'm going to give two wee prizes, a 'random-guesser' prize and a 'hit-the-nail on-the-head' prize. - and you have untilWednesday night to guess, one guess per player please! Thank you!

  1. MANGA!!!! Is it, could it really be some manga?? Or something very very cute? I'm very intrigued!!

  2. Well my first instinct is an eye with eyelashes so perhaps a person....
but for some reason I'm also seeing a crab ;-)
    Whatever it is I'm intrigued!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Fun! The eye on a Jack O'Lantern?

    ReplyDelete
  4. It kinda looks like and eye and eyelashes, but I'm wracking my brain for other possibilities ! Very intriguing.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Looks like an eye...soooooo...a cute character stamp?

    ReplyDelete
  7. I'm sure it's a beautifully drawn sweet person. Knowing that you love Christmas, I'm going to stretch and say it could be the twinkling eye of a jolly old elf . . . the big guy or a helper?

But wait. . . you also love Halloween!

Whatever/whoever it is, I'm sure I will want it, Claire!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Definitely an eye, I'm going for a reindeer. xx

    ReplyDelete
  9. Something furry and cute and animal like? those are definitely eyes with lashes! and maybe something appropriate for a fall theme! oh i give up - are you going to give us anymore hints? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  10. To me it looks like an eye, maybe of a child or baby looking up to something. Maybe it's mother?

    ReplyDelete
  11. The eyes have it, I am in agreement with it being a flirty cute eye to something....and I'll guess it's to a relly super duper cute reindeer???? Can't wait to see!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Those definitely look like eyelashes to me, and if it can't wait til Sept, it might be for Halloween. Do ghosts have eyelashes, LOL? Can't wait to see it all!

    ReplyDelete
  15. This looks like an eye to me too. A feminine eye, manga inspired perhaps. Of course, you could be tricking us. Maybe you've also rotated it. In which case, I would have no idea.

    ReplyDelete
  16. My first look, I see an eye with lashes but then looking more I see an alphabet!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. It looks like a cute little girly eye with long eye lashes. (But I could be totally wrong too!)

    ReplyDelete
  18. I think, and my 9 year old agrees, that this set must be monster body parts. So that you can build up a male or female monster for those "little monster's" birthdays.

    ReplyDelete
  19. It looks like an eye to me. And because you don't want to wait until September, I'm guessing this has to do with Halloween. Could it be the eye of a black cat or the eye on a carved pumpkin?? Ohh, I like either idea!! Can't wait!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Is it an eye on a pumpkin?
    Eveline.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Wow this is tough. But I'm going to go with an eye/eye lash or maybe a very different set of letters. Looks like a letter g in a way.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Oeh, fun fun fun! It's a girlies eye, I think! Could it be a girlie version of the Half Pint Heroes?! Don't know my English sayings enough to think of a name you would come up with, but maybe princess heroettes? ;-) would be fun, 'cause I love those little guys and can't wait to also use cutle little girlie heroes! On a horsie? In a Beetle? In a princess castle? Can't wait to see what it is! Sure it'll be great fun!!
    Hugs, Wendy

  32. It looks like a gorgeous eye close up to me! I'm gonna guess that it's a pint-sized heroines set with those gorgeous eyelashes :)

  33. I'm thinking it's the eye of a half pint heroine. We've been needing that set to match the Half Pint Heros set.

  34. After staring at multiple lines on a very large sheet of paper all day and outlining and gilding letters my eyes cannot make head nor tail of this....I know you - yea, it looks like an eye but that's too obvious...can just see you enjoying all the guesses..what fun that must be behind the scenes....a bonus given how hard you work!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. It looks like the eye of Betty Boop to me :-))

    ReplyDelete
  36. So I am definitely sure it's an eye, and I love Charmaine's idea that it could be a Jack O Lantern... but how fun if this were an elf or Santa?! I figure it has to do with Halloween though... But we already have Glenda (wasn't that her name?) and Wanda... so it wouldn't be a witch, would it? I am sticking with eye, I just can't decide who it belongs to! :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. I commented on facebook, but better add it here coz those mention of prizes has me with my fingers and toes crossed! I guess it's the eye/eyelash of a half pint heroine!!!!

  46. yes definitely eye with eyelashes

    ReplyDelete
  47. It looks like a super cute eye of a child or a girl with those lashes! Some kind of super cute face must be behind it - a little school child perhaps, time for teacher cards? Or a little halloween witch, perhaps some darling trick or treat children?

    ReplyDelete
  48. it's got to be an eye and lashes, but, to whom or what do they belong...let's go with a little elf.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Well, it's a female eye, so I'm thinking that it may be a little girl's version, or addition to Half-Pint Heroes.

    ReplyDelete
  50. It's definitely an eye. Could be a mouse that is looking up somewhere.

    ReplyDelete
  51. It's an eye!! There are lovely eyelashes too! Could this be your cute mouse? It could be a sweet little girl? It could be a cute animal?

    Claire - you're a tease!!!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I'm guessing it's a teeny eyeball with a wee eyelash from a Half-Pint Heroine! Half-Pint Heroines is my guess... is it? is it????

    ReplyDelete
  58. It looks kind of like an eye. Could it be a cute bat eye for Halloween!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Since this is a special release I would think it has to be holiday related and I think that it would be a perfect eye to a jack-o-lantern! What fun it would be to see a large pumpkin shape with mix matchy features!

    ReplyDelete
  60. It does look like an eye, but I wonder whether it is some more of your celtic imagery. I am probably way off the mark.

    ReplyDelete
  61. An eye with lashes. Half of a bears paw print. A backwards e with flames. A Christmas Mouses eye and eyelashes...

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  64. I definitely think it's an eye but it looks evil so maybe a Halloween themed item....jack-o-lantern maybe?

    ReplyDelete
  65. I think it's an eye as well, so I'm guessing the set is a mix-and-match "people" set where you can build a face and maybe the rest of the body. A paper doll set?

    ReplyDelete
  66. is it an eye from an egyptian lady?

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  73. The eye of the Locknest Monster: aka Nellie. LOL I don't have a clue lol. It's fun to play though.

    ReplyDelete

It is the eye of a cute whale

    ReplyDelete
  79. Definitely an eye with eyelashes!!!

    ReplyDelete
  80. A girl version of half pint heroes perhaps?

    ReplyDelete

    Can't wait to see . . . .

    Chris L.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I agree with everyone else - looks like an eye with pretty eyelashes - the kind you find on a Betty Boop type character so is it a cute 'babydoll' set maybe?

    ReplyDelete
  83. It could be a mouse or owl's eye.

I even thought of a weird letter E, maybe halloween style!
I am so curious to know what you are going to release!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Sure looks like an eye with some fab eyelashes... very manga-ish. That'll be fun, right? But I wanna say a doll's eye. This is fun!!

    ReplyDelete
  85. I agree with Petr that it looks like one of Betty Boops eyes! So, I'm guessing it will be a wee manga girlie of that variety. I can't wait to see what it turns out to be...

    ReplyDelete
  86. it does look like an eye, so I think some kind of person, perhaps some halloween stamps?

    ReplyDelete

hoping like some of the others that it is of the manga variety...
have a teenage girlie who dies over manga so it would be PERFECT for her!!

    ReplyDelete

I would guess that this is a manga eye. That would be so cool!

    ReplyDelete
  93. Most defiantely a feminine eye with lashes, and probably having to do with Fall??? Maybe on a little gal going back to school? Either way, I'll bet she'll be adorable!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Since your love for halloween is second only to your love for Christmas, and the fact that you are releasing it in Aug( an off month)...I believe it's the carveable female eye for a happpy little Jack O Lantern or Jackie O Lantern. Hows that for going out on a limb?

    ReplyDelete
  98. My first guess was eye, but not sure who's eye!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Cindy holshouser13 July 2011 at 22:19

It looks like a letter with decorative tails - maybe part of a sentiment in a Halloween set.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Cindy Holshouser14 July 2011 at 00:33

Looks like my comment earlier didn't post. I think it's a letter with little doo dads on it. Maybe it's part of a word that is part of a Halloween Sentiment? Fun!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  106. Claire you tease us so much! First i thought with it being in the manga style, it`s a cutey eye of a baby girl. Ooooooooor a spooky eye looking through a spooky house or a spooky tree.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I was convinced it was an eye and eyelashes but then I spent too long looking at it and decided it was thorns on a vine (not sure how - that seems a little out!) I just can't wait to see it now!

    ReplyDelete
  111. Hi Claire......I'm hoping it's a Waltzing Mouse or better still a "Made With Waltzingmouse" Stamp!
