...May new stamps at WMS, Join Us...

ED - the competition on this post is now closed. Thank you for playing along - the winner can be found here after 6:00PM my time today (May 1 2011)

Good morning (at last!! grrr, blogger is playing up and didn't publish my post on time!!) and welcome to the second day of previews for the May release. Our new stamps will be available on May 1st, and until then we are showing samples of our new goodies!!!

Previewing with me today are our fabulous DT ladies - did you see what they were up to yesterday? If you missed it be sure to scroll back on their posts:

My first project today shows you another option on our cupcake template - which i am calling Cuppie Love...lol!! Today I made it up as a little tiny gift box - I'm using mine for a baby gift.

For the photos we put a little toy ducky in, because I liked how he peeped out the window!!! This little gift box would also be good for a pair of baby socks, a bib (not sure what you call them in USA...) a dodo (pacifier in US I believe) any of those tiny items that folks like to buy for new babies. the box will also make a nice little keepsake for a first curl or tooth.

It's the basic Cuppie Love template which will be available on May 1st. I altered it by cutting an aperture in the lid with a Spellbinders classic circle die template. I made a little frame for the aperture with a Lacey circles die template (also Spellbinders). I fixed a little acetate behind the aperture to make the window. There are some other little design tips that I will share in a later post - I am hoping to do a feature on putting the template together just after the release.

I used stamps from a new set - Join Us, on the little gift box - you can just make out the nappy pin used to make a pattern on the blue cuppie wrap, the mini flags are also from Join Us. The sentiment on the co-ordinating card is from Say it Loud - a set we will be featuring later on.

Join Us is a novel set - it is an invitation set with a difference. A quaint mixture of formal and casual. It lends itself perfectly to CAS cards like those above. A whopping 32 sentiment stamps and 8 motif stamps, this is one of those sets that I will get lots of mileage from.

I love the look of those formal invitations, the minimalist, classic lettering and plenty of white space, and yet somehow it felt right to add a touch of the casual - a little softening.

And so in this set, you will see that there are options for formal invitations, partnered with casual 'follow ups' - the example below shows what I mean - "Join Us for Christmas - you'd be most welcome."

I felt that this approach combined the significance of the occasion with a soft friendly encouragement to attend. It feels like something I would say when I especially wanted someone to accept an invitation.

I made up these little 4x4 note cards to illustrate some of the possibilities.

I used a classical font and paired it with a lovely handwritten style - the same font that was so popular in the Frame-It sets. It's a gorgeous font.

I paired my sentiments with clean sharp graphics. I absolutely ADORE that little snowflake. AND the flourish - which I have used top and bottom around the sentiment below.

As well as the Invitation sentiments the set also contains sentiments for after event thank yous and acknowledgements. I do think you will find it rather unique in approach. I cannot wait to show you the variety of sentiments, so may possibilities are covered!

Today's competition!

  3. My oh my what nice cards an what a great release (what we've seen so far).
I do hope you'll continue to make text stamps, particularly with various suitable greetings (like thanks, happy birthday and such).

  4. My oh my how wonderful.
I do hope there'll be more text stamps in WMS's future, greetings and such :D

  5. I think you should branch out into dies and coordinating stamps as well as continuing with your lovely templates!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Beautiful projects, just stunning! I love the beautiful fonts and flourish.

As there will be bi-monthly stamp set releases, how about some templates and paper downloads for the months in between stamp releases. I think a paper download of the Victorian Frippery design and the design from the heart and star from the Seasons of Love set would go down a treat, they are so pretty and would look fab as a background paper!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Love the baby boy gift box and your sweet card Claire - and the Join Us cards are wonderful!!

    ReplyDelete
  8. I love your project so sweet. i think WMS will continue to provide stamps and greetings that are a little more familiar to those of us from commonwealth countries. Sometimes I find some of the American greetings unfamiliar to me. I also love your motifs and decorations. I would like to see paper pads of your digital paper.

  9. Claire - you and your team have out done yourselves. These samples are wonderful.

I think your baby card and sweet gift box are just so cute. And the invitation/thank you cards are stunning! Can't wait to play with this set.

As for the future - any possibility of embossing folders to coordinate with your stamps?

    ReplyDelete
  10. So beautiful Claire - love the little Cuppie!

  11. Your project is sooooo cute, Claire. I would see stamps with coordinating dies in the future!!! I would love that!!!!

  12. Hi Claire

What I would like for the future is a set with snowmen because I love snowmen very much. I think of a set with several stamps for the different parts of a snowman so that one could build together a snowman in different ways.

    Kind regards
    Carola

  13. I love you baby gift set, Claire! What a perfect way to give a little something. Your CAS cards are also fantastic - I also love the combination of sentiments and fonts in this set!

  14. Wonderful new sets! Regarding the future of WMS: I think you will continue to offer excellent value in stamp sets that feature your unique style, with samples from you and your DT that show in the versatility of the stamps in a way that meets your current high standard of excellence. Possibly expansion into dies, templates, digital products, and embellishments where they are consistent with your unique style and complement the stamps.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I am new to WMS, but I do like what I see! Stamps with coordinating dies are big on my wish list and I do use a lot of embossing folders, so any of those would be great. Your Cuppie Love is the cutest little template ever!

    ReplyDelete
  16. That baby gift set is just ADORABLE!! I also love the new sentiment set, love how it includes sentiments for inside and outside the card that compliment each other so beautifully! As for the future, definitely keep doing everything you have been doing because I think your company is wonderful! I wouldn't mind seeing some digi papers to compliment the lovely style of your stamps :)

  17. Beautiful stuff until now!
What i would like for the future, are more bold and daring stamps! Not only cute stuff, although that's nice too.

    greetings Petra

  18. Your designs are so unique Claire! I just keep coming back to them, although I have other stamps as well. As long as you stay true to your wonderful style in stamp design, all the other items you might carry are just "add-ons". What people really keep coming back for are your stamps. Don't get too busy with all the fluff and not have time for creating your gorgeous designs. I just love them!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I love this set, so versatile and beautiful. For the future, I would say definitely more text sets like this. I also loved half pint heroes, so maybe a girl set similar to that, your backgrounds are great, so maybe a cool background assemble. Could also do someting for the teenagers out there ... a little funky grungy or something. Just more of what of you do really.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Beside I love all the background sets and I hope there will be coming more - I would love to see anything with post/mail... a postcard, stamps - and keep doing sentiments - one can never have enough!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Everyone is doing stamps now that go with Spellbinders. (You were the first to think of it!) I would love to see you have dies that are more for embellishing, such as ribbons, doilies, etc. I love your text stamps and I hope you will have more image stamps like you did in the beginning.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I would love to see coordinating dies with some of the stamp sets (and it sounds like you are already contemplating that!), love the background stamp sets, and the handwritten font, more of that please!! Still hoping to see a flourish set in the future as well! Love it! Keep on doing what you do :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. What an adorable gift container and card. I think the future just holds more success for WMS! YOu have a great eye for creative designs which appeal to a variety of audience and ages. I love that so many of your sets are spellbinders compatible but how lovely to have some of your own WMS dies. Keep up the great work Claire!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Gosh, your designs are just the best Claire. I love that they can be modern and trendy, but most of all are something that are user friendly! Each month you choose designs that fill a need for the stamping enthusiast. For the future, perhaps more sets that are smaller and have a lower price point. Or maybe digi downloads in the months in between your releases. Cheers!

  26. Oh Claire this is DARLING! :) As for what WM will be doing in the future I hope growing and growing! :) Hmm lets see I would LOVE to see a sentiment set in the FABULOUS font the xmas one has.. with thinks like Thank You, Miss You, Happy Birthday etc.. LOVE the sets that work with the spell binders.. Love all the swirly do dads you sneak in sets.. what fun a set of those would be! More templates?! Love them too.. Ok ok ! I will stop now! :) You get it.. I LOVE WM!! :) Off to see the peeks! Have a GREAT day!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Love your new sets. I'd like to see more Nestie friendly sets.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Lovely cards and cute little box! The invitation stamps are a great idea. I am hoping to get married next year so some new wedding themed stamps would be very much appreciated please! Also, like many have said already, I love stamps that co-ordinate with dies and embossing folders, so that would be great too. I can't wait to see what else you are releasing on 1st May!

  29. You have amazing sets which makes it difficult to 'suggest' ideas for you to feature in the future. I'm in agreement with other posts, "one can never have enough sentiments." Combining different font types and sizes is good. My other passion is travel and it would be nice to see some designs drawing inspiration from the buildings, homes, and other points of interest specific to your area.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I love the Free Spirit sets and would be so excited to see more boy related stamps!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Your cute baby set is just perfect and the cuppie love is going to be a very versatile template
I'm only a newbie to WMS but it seems to me you bring out some stunning stamp sets that are very useable in lots of ways. I think co-ordinatig dies are a great step forward and texture plates, as others have mentioned :)
    Looking forward to release day.

  32. Such a cute little holder, what a great idea for small gifts. The future for WMS? Hopefully great new stamps, I love your nestie based stamps and love your style. Maybe there is mileage in doing more masculine based stamps (always my biggest challenge!)

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm a WMS newby, but I love your designs. Im from America, but your greetings and sayings are wonderful, I have my eye on a couple sets but want to wait until this release to get some! I'm a HUGE Halloween fanatic and love your vintage halloween stamps, I think you should come come out with some more lable stamps with some creepy ingredients and such.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I love this set, but as a singleton I hope the set is versatile enough to have stamps to say "me" instead of "us" and "I'd" love to have you instead of "we'd". Knowing how well thought out your sets are, you have probably allowed for this already! For the future, I just hope to see an extension of the way WMS is growing now. I do not have a color printer, so some fabulous paper packs to coordinate with the stamp collections would be of interest, and dies to help us cut out complex shapes is certainly a winning idea! The other thing is, for the stamps that lend themselves to coloring with pencils or Copics, it would be great to have some digi stamp sets for instant gratification. No having to wait for the post!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Love the cupcake template!! I would love to see my sentiments and more masculine stamps!! Never can have enough!! Thanks for the chance!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I love everything that you do!! So keep up the great work:) I'm not good of thinking up new ideas. I tend to see the new ideas generated by others, and think "wow, they thought of something great that everyone will love"!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. This set is a unique twist on invitations and I love it. I do love your style and your interpretations. For the future I just want more of the same. Your backgrounds and sentiments are my favorites. Personally I would like to see some sentiments that work with circles and squares, they don't have to be in that shape, but fit within it...fill it up, kwim? I know that won't be easy, lol. As for images, I would love an elegant ballerina set. Thank you for asking!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hi Claire

This new set looks fantastic! For the future for WMS I definitely feel that dies are the way to go, as you have already said. Also, could we have some stamps for teacher gifts; they're always great for end of term gifts. Also, perhaps you could have a special feature every month, focusing on one person's blog and getting your customers involved with their ideas using your lovely stamps!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I love your handwriting font, Claire. This is a MUST HAVE! All of your stamps are must haves!

I hope to see the girl version of Half Pint Heros, plus custom dies! Oh, and wee mice. ;)

    Hugs!
    Lisa

  40. I am finally placing an order... I have been coveting your stamps for over a year and sold some craft supplies so I can make a purchase! Love your templates!!! This one is just too cute and I will have to place another order once it is available! I hope you continue to produce your most fabulous sentiments and vintage styled stamps... it is after all that has made me visit your store month after month! Thanks for the opportunity to win the May releases! Patty

  41. wow... as always your stamps are amazing, elegant and so versatile...

  43. Hi Claire! Such an exciting release! Thanks to your and your team for th many ways you showcase the fabulous Waltzingmouse stamps!
AS to the future....while not very helpful ;) I'm going to say more of the SAME! I am surprised and delighted at every release. I especially love the images and fonts that have a vintage flair to them. I *love* that your beautiful stamps match up with spellbinders and I love how the scale of your stamps lends them to working with each other. Continued success to you!!

    ReplyDelete
  44. wonderful samples with the new sets. I just love you're style and the range your stamps have. I love how you pair sets with the nesties. Dies or even impression plates that coordinate with the sets would be nice.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Join Us looks like a really versatile set. Looking forward to the full reveal.
I would really love to see WMS making single scripture verse stamps available. And of course stamps with co-ordinating dies.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Lovely new sets you're previewing! I hope WMS stays the course - continuing to introduce innovative and fun stamp designs, with maybe some more dies thrown in.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Claire, fab creations. I popped around earlier and knew you must be having blogger issues!

I love this release - already two new must have sets!!! oh no!!! LOL!

I think WMS will continue to grow and expand and convert new followers to it's wonderful products. I think you will expand the nestie friendly stamp range - the future holds lots of promise.

Wishing you every continued success. Deirdre

  48. This release is so exciting Claire, the sneek peaks, the change to bi-monthly releases. You've built a real sense of anticipation ! I'm excited to see everything revealed on 1 May.
I love your spellbinders compatible stamps, very unique and versatile. I think quality, quantity and versatility is what I like best about WMS. There is no other company on the market that produces a large sheet of stamps for an occassion like Easter, Christmas etc, that is so compatible with the other stamp sets and spellbinders dies you have available.
A rambling comment, but hope you get the point ! lol

    ReplyDelete
  49. More of the same because you do it all so well! I dare say that the future holds magnificent things from and for you and your amazing company. I love that you offer us the opportunity to have great manners and to gracefully comply with convention through your wonderful stamp sets that give thanks, note milestones, occasions and make all kinds of formal requests and replies with great aplomb. I really love and appreciate that. Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Such a lovely swirly font! Beautiful creations, as always! I love the pierced line in the simple Thank You card as well - just the perfect touch!

I don't know what the future holds for WMS...hopefully more of your fabulous stylings and labels creations!! Thanks for the chance!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I love your designs Claire! (Thanks for the chance to win some!) The thing I'd like to see in the future is more paper quilting stamps. (That made more sense in my head) Think of the patterns you see on quilt fabrics - tiny flowers, sweet stripes, swirls...and then the overall patterns...pinwheels, log cabins, wedding rings...Oh, the possibilities...I see so many dies and stamps!
I'm sure whatever you do will be fabby! I think you'll grow and do well!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Claire,

Love the new stamps. I really liked seeing your cards - The white space makes them really look sharp and clean.

I would like to see a set of stamps for travel/camping.

    ReplyDelete
  53. WMS unique die shapes will be the future.... hopefully! The Spellbinder dies are instantly recognisable and so it would be really great to look forward to totally original WMS shapes with matching stamps too. Good luck Claire! x p.s. wasn't the royal wedding ace!

    ReplyDelete
  54. More terrific creations. And the little ducky fits so perfect in the cuppy. :) I gotta say, you don't need any help from me for directions for the future. You're doing fab all on your own with these great sets you're revealing. I do love the idea that you may be doing dies to match your stamps.
Thank you for all you do!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Hi Claire,

These are amazing! Love the baby gift like that! And that ducky there is so cute! Fabulous invitation cards, that set will be wonderful!

Oeh, Claire, Waltzing Mouse in the future! First of all, I totally love the company as it is, love the stamps and how they match the nesties, and love all the amazing inspiration and ideas and techniques that you and the DT shows! I'm a girl who loves things that match, so if there's something I could ask for, it would be the dies, that you already mentioned you were thinking about. But I would also love impression plates, or design paper, or maybe even better good quality paper in colors that match a certain brand of ink, matching original ribbon, all you can think of to match? But this would be a different type of 'sport' of course and I don't know what your ambitions are. I would love to see more, but I would not be disappointed if WMS stays the way it is, 'cause I love what you do and design and I will always be a loyal customer!!! Curious about your ideas and plans!

    Hugs, Wendy

  56. Hi Claire for the future just continue to do what you do now ..design gorgeous stamps!
Love stamps with tiny things like the teeny Trees and Half pint herous.(Actually love all your stamps)

    ReplyDelete
  57. Clare, how I would love to win your stamps, I do birthday cards for friends and relatives, and I have men on my list, so I would like to see items for men. I have enjoyed all your stamps.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'd love to see more nestabilitie compatible stamps. I love those you have in the store. And further more, I like to be surprised every time.
    Eveline.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Hi Claire, looks like this release is going to be fabulous! Thank you for the opportunity to win it! My suggestion would be to start offering dies that coordinate with some of the images in the sets. I think we talked about this before, but I'll say it again...I LOVE the coordination of dies & stamp sets. Other than that, maybe a set or two that is faith-based, maybe with some scripture verses and a Christmas set that is more centered on Christ. There's my 2 cents! :)

    ReplyDelete
  60. What beautiful, clean and simple cards! Love them!
I hope the future of WMS includes more of your wonderful sentiments. You always have such great ones! Also, as a newer admirer, I've been borrowing your stamps from my mom, but I see in the WMS future, stamp orders from me! :) Thanks for sharing your great art!

    ReplyDelete
  61. I just LOVE that template, it is so cute! The invite set really intrigues me, as I love to make my own invites for everything!

A couple of weeks ago, as I was colouring a poinsettia, I SO wished there were dies to match - and you've already raised the issue! I would also love more images to colour, since I am really getting into that as my Copic collection grows :) I always love the font combos and variety of phrases in your sets, so I know we can always expect more wonderful designs featuring those!

I *have* been waiting to see if you would do a more girly set akin to Half Pint Heroes for the little ladies in my life... ;)

    ReplyDelete
  62. Oh, Claire -

Such a lovely set. I'm can't wait to see the doily loveliness.

I think the future should hold the female hero set, more of the mix - match that you've done with the new sentiment set, and maybe your own dies!!! Whatever it is, it will be fabby!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I love your stamps & basically would like to see more of the same. I liked your idea of producing dies to go with your images. Stamps I would enjoy having & find useful are ballet subjects (not too cutsie) & some Bible quotes.

    ReplyDelete
  64. What a beautiful release so far, Claire! I love the versatility of today's set!!

I think that WMS should continue to release amazing stamp sets!! And definitely some dies to go with those stamps!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Oh my goodness, that little cuppie template is adorable! I love the gingham flowerpots in the previous post. As for the future of WMS, I hope you will continue to focus on unique, well-designed stamp sets as you have been doing all along. Your templates are wonderful and I also love the idea of WMS dies, but you don't need to be everything. Do what you do best and grow gradually so you still have time for your sweet family. :)

    ReplyDelete
  66. "Join Us" sounds like a set I have been wanting. Invitation stamps can be hard to find, or not quite the approach I want to take. The future for WMS - hopefully still creating slightly quirky but oh so appropriate stamp sets, particularly for those of us not in the US, who, for example, can't use a stamp saying 'mom'.

    ReplyDelete
  67. The cupcake box with the window is genius - love it!

As for the future, I'd hope for more unique designs and more very large stamps which fill a card, a huge daisy for instance and I'm with others on the dies to match some stamps. I really like the 2-monthly release and the chance to really play properly with our new goodies so I hope you might be sticking with that too.

  68. I think the future is very bright for Waltzingmouse. You've god some great templates and beautiful stamps!

    ReplyDelete
  69. What a lovely release so far and I can't wait to see more tomorrow! There isn't anything I don't already love about WMS and like others am waiting for Heroines and a baby set! You know I'm waiting to have a baby so I can use your stamps on our announcements, right? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  70. Claire everything you do is genius! I love that little template. adorable.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Gorgeous work!! I can't say what I think the future should hold. Because every time you come up with something it's pure genius. Just love all of your ideas.

    ReplyDelete
  72. There are so many trends to look at when trying to figure out the direction such a wonderful company like WMS should take. I think labels: fancy, vintage, playful, etc- are wonderful, especially with coordinating dies. Masculine images seem to be a big trend at the moment as well- again, playful, vintage, etc. I would also like to see more stamps with coordinating papers, embellishments, etc. This just makes it so much easier to make cards and/or pages for all levels of creativity. Whatever the future holds, I'm sure WMS will continue to be a huge success.

    ReplyDelete
  73. so simple and neat. could be used on my cards. very nice!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Oh my, Claire...your cards and projects are STUNNING! I think WMS shows great versatility for stampers! A mix of sentiments in various fonts with a variety of images ia the "Perfect" stamp set! I realize it's a tall order, and requires purchasing a large set, but I love the idea of getting a lot of mileage out of my stamps. Whatever you decide to do, just keep making the high quality stamps that have made WMS a leader in the stamping industry! Thanks!!!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Love what I've seen so far for this release! As for the future, don't change too much - your company is great the way it is. As others have mentioned, coordinating dies are hot right now, and I always need new images for masculine projects. As for sentiments, I love a combination of text-style and handwriting in the same sentiment. Keep up the fantastic work!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Now, I'm really looking forward to this template and set. I think I would be echoing quite a few of the others in saying that I am really enjoying your sets. I really appreciate the design, quality and the versatility. I love the sentiments, probably why I'm excited about this next set. Co-ordinating dies may be one way to go. I do like the idea of the on/off month release. Gives us time to enjoy!

    ReplyDelete
  77. I really like how personal your design process is, Claire. This set in particular seems to showcase your warm and kind personality. As for WMS' future, besides fabulous growth and success in general, I hope we will see more vintage goodness, stamps that have matching Claire-designed dies, and while frames and labels are well represented in your line, I hope we will see more pictorial images, too.

    ReplyDelete
  78. wow - amazing stamps. i can't get enough of those big loud sentiments. it's huuuge - i love it.

i see your future...i see loads of new unique stamps...i see an ever growing waltzingmouse community...i see WMS turning 20...i see more nestie-friendly stamps...I see more challenges, inspirations & tutorials...i see you visiting us in the US, perhaps a travel tour w/ the wee folk? we'll be lining up to meet the mouse mistress herself :)

    ReplyDelete
  79. I have really enjoyed your stamps. My favorites are the holiday and nestibllities stamps. I'd really like to see your take on kites and flags. But whatever you choose, you'll have me as a loyal customer.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Fabulous examples Claire and I can't wait for the release. As for the future, I agree with some others that co-ordinating dies, preferably that emboss too and embossing folders would be a great addition. As for stamps, I agree with someone earlier who asked for a large card filling stemmed daisy image and larger script sentiments would be great for those of us who make larger cards. Cat and Dog images would be great too!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Lovely Gift set Claire. I think that WMS will go from strength to strength, as all your set's are 'timeless'. I Love your background stamps. I do think a range of your own dies to go with your stamps would definately be the way to go. Just keep on doing what you are already doing and i really don't think that you can go wrong!
    Shaz x

    ReplyDelete
  82. I do hope that the future for WMS is LONG!!! I just love your style, and as an Australian, I appreciate your sentiments that are more 'casual' and less 'flowery sentimental' (if that makes sense!!!). I'd love to see some more little boy sets and I love your drawn flowers. More of those please!!!

    ReplyDelete
  83. wow! the new stamps are so versatile and there are some gorgeous gift ideas for everyone in the family. Love that the stamps are being taken to the next level with co-ordinating card and gift, especially the cupcake idea for favours. Look forward to more superb stamps at WMS.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Claire, you have realy outdone yourself with this release. I love everything sofar. Just go on this way in the future!!

  85. Thank goodness I discovered WMS, so much more convenient (and a lot cheaper) than waiting for PTI to cross the pond, can't wait for tomorrows release, dies to match would be great

  86. I always look forward to sitting down to your blog each and every morning before the hustle and bustle of getting three children to school and myself to work gets in the way. You constantly amaze me with your artistry and creativity. You are doing everything right (I love the time in between releases) so it's hard to think of anything to improve the course of WMS. The only thing that comes to mind is dies to coordinate with the images in your stamp sets. Often having the die is what pushes me over the urge to treat myself to a new stamp set.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I hope you have a long future as a stamp designer; I love your art. I like the versatility of your sets and your constant great customer service. Congrats on the success of your company, and thanks for the chance to win. Can't wait for the release and the doily sets.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I perused the design team's samples and have fallen in love with the set! I am looking forward to the release. WMS should keep doing what you have been doing for 2 years -- gorgeous flowers, labels we can't resist, images for the precious kids in our lives, and stamps to make gifts and 3-D projects. Congrtas on your WMS birthday.

  89. Claire,
these just look beautiful. I always love the 3 dimensional projects you showcase. It's always fun to see a different take on stamps.
I think the future should continue with spellbinders friendly dies. I love them and i love the shabby chic/country/western look you always take.
I'm always a fan of sentiments and the bold stamp images, since I don't like coloring too much.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I would love to see a knitting stamp set...lambs knitting WM style with all kinds of your clever sentiments/greetings.

    ReplyDelete
  91. What sets you and WMS apart from all others is your classic, elegant designs. One only has to look at Victorian Frippery, all the Vintage Labels and your Christmas sets to appreciate your genius. I look forward to more of these types of designs. They are where you shine!!!

    ReplyDelete
  92. I love, love love this cupcake template! I can't wait to get these these stamps! Stamps to fit the new Spellbinders fancy tags, ribbon tags and wonky rectangles would be awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  93. I think the future holds many inky fingered afternoons and evenings, and lots of inspiration for us crafters!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Your sneak peaks are fabulous, as always, Claire! Just love your style and know that whatever you do with WMS in the future, it will be awesome & loved by all your loyal fans. I'm in agreement with most here that you should add dies and/or texture plates!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Claire, it looks like its going to a super wonderful release! I've loved jumping around looking at all the sneak peekies!!

I know you've endeavoured to release stamps that coordinate perfectly with Spellbinders and, as such, are now partners with them in this regard. I'd love to see some embossing plates/folders that also coordinate too. And maybe some dies that match with one or two of the stamp sets releasing every other month. My 2c worth. :)
    xx

    ReplyDelete
  96. I like what you're doing now - creating stamps every other month and some that are Nestabilities compatible.

Try a set of two of custom dies and see if that works out. I think it's a great idea to try.

My selfish wish is to have a stamp set that has doors and windows images with theme-related sentiments ("Open A New Window, Open A New Door" - a song from "MAME"?). What a great idea for a housewarming card/project, my home layout, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I'd love to see more stamps for babycards! And stamps for embellishments! The stamps for this release looks gorgeous! Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  98. such a sweet set! you are so very clever, claire and i love it!! what should the future hold for wms.... why more cleverness for sure!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Oh my shabby goodness ... pure bliss -- all of it! I especially adore today's post with the cupcakes ... will have to give them a try!!

As far as the future with WMS goes, would love to see more vintage inspired stamp lines. Have been tickled this year to see so many lovely banners, labels, fleur de lis images ... as a huge fan of all things shabby and vintage, I would adore to see more of these! Love the sets that coordinate with the Spellbinders dies ... makes light work of designing! It's so welcoming to see the trends finally catching up with vintage styles - LOVE IT!

Would also love the chance to try out to guest design for WMS ... such beautiful goodies to work with -- this would be so much fun!

Keep up the great job, Clare!

  100. Hi Claire,

The little cuppie is genius. As for the future direction of WMS, just keep doing what you're doing. I think the background stamps and the Spellbinder friendly label stamps are your strengths. It's what drew me to the company in the beginning. How about stamp sets for the foliage dies and the ribbon banner dies. More vehicles for Half pint Heroes and a Girlie Heroes too. How about a supplement for Back in the Saddle. I think a pair of saloon doors similar to the shutters in Twas the Night before would be fabby. The doors could swing open and the sentiment would be behind them. And boots with spurs that spin! Coordinating dies would be great. More paper engineering(the templates). Maybe a US distributor to cut down on my long wait!JK! But if it ain't broke, don't fix it. And WMS ain't broke, it's fabby!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Wow! These projects are AMAZING! Can't wait to see more!

I would like to see Waltzingmouse have its own dies. I know that this was teased as a possibility, but I really hope it does happen. I love what you do with the Spellbinders dies, and want to see that continue, but I would absolutely LOVE to see what you design with matching dies!!

    ReplyDelete
  102. World domination ?!!

Only semi-kidding, seems like every blog I visit has discovered WMS !!!

I am happy to go where you lead me, Claire. I think you have an excellent eye for the gaps in the market and also how to improve exisiting products. One thing I am REALLY looking forward to is Half-Pint Heroines... !!

    Margaret C xx

  103. I would love it to see dies combined with the stamps you make. I love the nestabilitie sets, but would love to see WMS dies. Further just go on like you do you're doing a great job !

  104. Hey there Claire,

I think you are doing an awesome job on the path that you are heading. Stamps are gorgeous, designs are gorgeous. I do love the fact that you have another template out this release... we love templates!

    ReplyDelete
  105. OK you've done it again..........gorgeous sets love the baby font ooh and a nappy pin ! Have to have this little invitation set ......love that little snowflake and all the sentiments ........Wow!!!!!

  106. Loving the sneak peeks so far! The May release looks like a good one! As for the future of WMS, I say that it is very bright. I love how you include your customers in the direction WMS goes and I think that has proved to be a winning combination. Of course, your unique take on sets that can appeal to so many is awesome. I love that we get to see more of your very cute creations with this new format for releases. I think the stamps, dies, digital papers, templates and tutorials, along with your great customer service is just what I love about WMS. :)

    ReplyDelete
  107. I love all of these! What about embossed doilies?
An embossing folder to compliment doilies and the gingham could be useful?!

    ReplyDelete
  108. OOh I'm excited for this new set. I love that you are not releasing as many now it means I really get the opportunity to play properly with one set before the next is released - I think this is a great decision! As for going forward I agree with many of the comments made here. I would love to see more masculine images but I also love those you can use with the nesties - thats what made me find your stamps in the first instance. Please keep doing these. I would like to see a cat themed stamp set, or maybe a hobby set with peoples different hobbies represented from fishing through to dancing and painting etc. It would be great to have a British themed stamp set in time for the Queens jubilee next year!

  109. Hi Claire
Just keep them coming in the future, just like you do now. Lovely stamps. I only have one wish, that I know won´t through, all your text-stamps, just in danish.Kind regards Ansa

  113. Hi there!!

I love the stuff with cultural flair-- I would love to see some more stamps that highlight the unique and beautiful cultural traditions and art from your country and that of the European mainland. I like that your designs are polished and professional looking. Even if they are simple, they are clean and classy. I appreciate that the sentiments are so well thought out.

One of my favorite features about your stamps are all the little tiny elements you use to fill out the stamps sheet. These thoughtful details seem to be missing from other companies. These are so handy, and I grab them more than anything else--just to add little touches to corners and papers.
    CHEERS!!

  114. What an adorable project. Love what I've seen so far. I believe the future holds many new fantastic stamp sets, projects and fresh ideas. I would like to see some versatile sets that could be used for retirement cards, especially masculine type. Thanks for sharing these sneaks. Hugs to all, Sharon :o)

    ReplyDelete
  115. I'm new to WMS, but I really like what I've seen so far. I love text stamps and impression plates (rather than embossing plates) - the plates that leave an impression only on the top surface of cardstock rather than also on the reverse side. Best wishes for a great May release! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  116. I am loving these new sets! I would love to see Waltzingmouse go wholesale so that I can find it at LSS or online shops in the US! I think that would be a great way to grow!

    ReplyDelete
  117. Beautiful and inspiring projects as always! I always love your coordinating stamps and dies. Since I love the look of stitches that border a card or a die but hate to take out my sewing machine, I think a stamp with a plain stitch would be great.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I love your Nestie friendly sets, so I'm always up for more of those, but it would be lovely to see some WMS specific dies, too, to go along with some of the other images from your sets. Otherwise, just keep going on! I can't wait to get my hands on that doily set!

    ReplyDelete
  119. I love your cuppie template and the versatility. I love the fact that your templates are easy to put together...some companies aren't.
I would love to see more "saying" type of stamps...encouragement/quotes.
    Thanks so much!

  120. What a cute template and Love what you are creating. The direction WMS is going I hope will be to the TOP of the stamping world.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Claire your May stamps are just awesome. I do love the doily stamp. Oh how I would love to be able to win these sets. Have some great ideas on making some birthday cards.

  122. I love everything you've done so far. The design team is great. I look forward to seeing their creations each month. In the future I would love to see more masculine stamps!!

    ReplyDelete
  123. You're always on the cutting edge and never miss a trend! I'm still swooning over the western stamps! What a surprising addition to your store! Love it! All I can say is that you cn never have too many sentiments that coordinate with your vintage labels! Whatever your next move is, it will be terrific!

    ReplyDelete
  124. Claire, you do such a wonderfun (typo, but I decided that it fit:-)job on your sets that I'd say keep up your fantastic creations! Maybe a girls set to go along w/ half-pint heroes, a few dies to match your more complicated to cut out stamps, and I'd LOVE to get a hold of patterned papers that were already printed up of your digital papers. (I just think a printing company would do a better job printing them up than my printer.) Hugs to you, you lovely lady :-) Can't wait till tomorrow!!

    ReplyDelete
  125. I love all the samples and peeks! That cupcake template and doilies are right up my alley! They look so fun to make!
I see so many fabulous designs and sets here that my wish list is getting so long... I do wish there was a US distributor to make it easier to collect my favorites! I love the sets that go with the Spellbinders dies, and am so impressed with your quality of goods that you provide. Can't wait to see what comes next!

  126. Just got the teacup template, but I'll be back tomorrow for the new templates..they are adorable and your projects just compliment them so well. I think the future of Waltzing Mouse stamps will be elegant designs that coordinate with Spellbinders beautifully...it's a great pairing and one that is done so well.

    ReplyDelete
  127. These are all gorgeous cards. I think you are doing a great job and couldn't possibly think of something to suggest.
Oh, they are bibs in the US too :)

    ReplyDelete
  128. Wow, this invitation set looks like a must have! As for what the future holds for WMS, I'll leave that up to you professionals. : ) I love the stamp sets that match the spellbinders dies, maybe many, many more of those.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I'm blown away by all your creativity with the dies and showing us the things we can do with them! I love those doilies!! Keep up the great work. Whatever you think of will be magnificent!

    ReplyDelete
  130. Just more of the same! I like dies to match stamp sets and I always like coordinating sentiments for both inside and outside of the card.

    ReplyDelete
  131. I would love to see more label stamps--whenever I can't figure out how to design a card, I reach for those gorgeous labels! I'm sure the future holds many great things for WMS and for you, Claire!

(ps-Addison (pictured <--) says she sees a corgi set in your future. Or just any pet set! (oK, no, really, she wants it to feature a corgi. She'll gladly model.))

    ReplyDelete
  132. Claire, these new stamps are absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for making these and thanks for the opportunity to win some free stamps.

    ReplyDelete
  133. What a sweet project for a baby gift (and keepsake box). Love the cards -- clean and simple and lovely.

    ReplyDelete
  134. For the future of WMS I hope you will keep on doing what your good at: designing beautiful and versatile stamp sets!!

    ReplyDelete
  135. I am a true addict to WMS stamps, everything you offer so far is either on my wish list or already in my possession.
I think the future for WMS will hold huge and worldwide success.

    ReplyDelete
  136. I love your sentiments, particularly the handwritten font, and the way they have built into a good collection (more of these please). I would like to see some circle 'frame it' stamps - though how you would bend the sentiment may pose a problem. I also would like some smaller Frame it squares too - perhaps just over an inch with one word inserts? Mainly though, keep doing what you're doing..because you've been right on track so far.

    ReplyDelete
  137. What a fab release. Very much looking forward to placing an order. As for the future, well keep on doing what you are doing! However, if you have a bit of time how about some custom dies? I love that your sets often coordinate with spellbinders but purchasing one of their sets can be quite pricey. So perhaps a collection of your lovely images with one die coordinating die at a lower price. Whatever you do it will be fabulous!

    ReplyDelete
  138. Yor stamps are fantastic i would like to see some more background stamps like the gingham set you have out this month. Yor own dies to cordinate with your stamps and embossing folders too. I love the cupcake template so some more of those fabby templates we can down load

    ReplyDelete
  139. Wonderful samples, and I cannot wait for the new release stamps!
What initially made me love WMS was the co-ordinating Spellbinders stamps and I would love a set for every nestie design! The sentiments and background designs you produce are fab too and I would love to see more.
    Keep up the good work!
    Love Sarita xx

  140. Amazing project! I'm really looking forward to the new release (actually I just woke up and the first things I checked was whether they were out, lol)

For the future... I love the idea of coordinating stamps and dies, so some dies for your stamps would be great. And an idea that I read from others and I loved - some coordinating embossing folders!

    ReplyDelete
  141. I love this release Claire !!!
I would love to see more background stamps and maybe some more butterflies ;)

    ReplyDelete
  142. love the versatility of the cupcake-boxy template. I just hope you can keep up with producing high quality stamps. For my personal liking: clean and simple but with an edge (there now you know exactly what the customer wants :D)

Oh and can't wait to see your dies!!

    ReplyDelete
  143. Claire, I'm a newbie to your wonderful site and blog and have just received my first (of many) orders which included 'compliments of the season' - I wasn't going to chance leaving that one 'til nearer Christmas as I'm sure it will sell out! It has exceeded my expectations, the quality and design superb. What do I see for the future of WMS? I see a bright and clear (polymer stamp) future! I hope you continue to grow and prosper and keep designing your in your unique way, it's so nice to see a small business grow especially in such a competitive industry in this current climate - you obviously have something very special and, judging by the amount of comments, well loved, long may it continue. Can't wait to see this new release in full.

    ReplyDelete
  144. I'm loving these new stamps! Co-ordinating Dies would be fab :D As for anything else well Clare you never let your customers down you always come up with bang on trend designs...just keep doing what your doing!

*Squeal......can't wait for the release of these new yummies

  145. Your "thank you" card is stunning!!! I love the classy stamps you have. I'd say more of the same. :) Sorry, I'm no help at all. :) Can't wait to see them all.

  146. Oh such cool sets, Claire! I would love to see a Sewing Box Background set, with lots of fun stitched patterns! Speaking of Backgrounds (you are so good at them!) I would love to see a background of different kinds of leaves, small and large in a pattern...your backgrounds are always so easy to line up! Any backgrounds that are "textile-like" too (that would add a texture that you could use for paper-piecing) such as canvas, corduroy, linen, denim, tweed, etcccc.! Thanks for listening!

    ReplyDelete
  147. Love your blog and projects. I believe WMS will continue to have great success.
    God bless,

  148. In the future I'd just love to see MORE - it's all been so nice so far - and it's good have a surprise at each new release! Thank you Claire!

    ReplyDelete
  149. First of all let me say that I love that little duckie in the Cuppie. Too cute! I love your templates...you are so clever. Thank you! I am still in awe of your stamp sets as I am familiarizing myself with them, and since I have already created a HUGE wish list, my thoughts for the future run along the lines of WM considering a discount - offered perhaps for frequent shoppers, or a certain day of the month....lots of ways to do it, but it would sure help with chiseling away at that wish list. Just a thought. (Actually, the winner of this post gets a GREAT "discount", so maybe this is not even a valid suggestion.) At this time I couldn't suggest improvements on what I've already seen. Just want to get my hands on more.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Love the new set preview. I'd love to see more text stamps. WM dies would be great, too. Larger sentiment stamps always get my heart racing. Whatever you do, I know that the stamps will be unexpected, with out of the nix thinking. Exactly what I have come to expect from WM!

  151. I love, love, LOVE your nestie-friendly stamps - the more of these the merrier IMO! I would love to see a wedding set that could be used for making wedding stationery with all the necessary words with unique fonts, swirls and maybe a frame or two?! Can't seem to find these on the market anywhere and WMS would do these so well!

  152. I've been a dedicated fan of WMS for over a year now and I can honestly say that I think the direction that you have taken the company so far is dead on and should continue. Beautiful designs, quality product, beyond excellent customer service, uber talented design team, are all elements that have made you successful, not to mention the fact that you are the single most generous, approachable, sweet owner in the bizz. Keep it up! Keep doing what you are doing, maybe add a new product every now and then to keep things fresh - like WMS dies. Do what feels right. I trust your business instinct, Claire!

    ReplyDelete
  153. Love your creations Claire! You simply amaze me with your ideas! For what the future should be for WMS...I love what you bring to us everytime so the only thing I would suggest is more stamps that match the spellbinder dies. It makes the dies so much more useful. Thanks for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  154. Love the look of the new releases - I'm excited from what we've seen so far anyhoo!
I love WMS for its Nestie friendly stamps, so more of those and in particular dies of your own to coordinate with your wonderful stamp artwork would be fabulous.
Maybe some more sweet animals and birdie stamps too, maybe even some Christmas cuties later in the year - the L'il Buddies set is just adorable!
Thanks for inviting us to give feedback, and for the chance to win, hugs, Ruth S
