...long time no anything.....

And of course I am cheating!!! This card is an oldie from last year, it was one I made for Ashley Cannon Newell's Embellish magazine first edition.

I dug it out of 'storage' (apologies for the poor photography) cos I have not been crafting for quite some time, least not anything I can show you today...lol

You may or may not know that i work from home, and I've been having a little work done to allow me to have a dedicated crafting space. The builders have been 'in' since November, what with heavy snow etc we are only just now coming to the point where I can go get cupboards etc.

Anyhow, with the end nearly in sight, I am looking forward to hopefully being able to make more stuff on a regular basis. I also run WMS from home and so you can appreciate the fight for space that goes on, and quite honestly folks orders have to take priority over my crafting time and space and I am hoping that the new room will open up a whole new way of life with regards to work/craft!!

I am hoping to post pics when the space in done, there's a load of stuff still to do, but I am very hopeful that I'll be in by the end of next week!! After that point I will be very excited to welcome a good local friend who will hopefully be able to help me with the shipping for a little while at least, while WMS gets back on track after our extended period of....no releases!!! Finally, our next release is well on the way, we will have 5 new sets on the 1st March!

Anyhow, there's nothing worse than a blog full or words and I want to thank anyone who has stuck with me and checked back regularly, even tho the old blog has suffered form a total lack of crafty inspiration. I do feel it. I hope to change it. I appreciate that your time is precious, too precious to spend here, without some sort of crafty inspiration or reward.

  2. Great to see your work again....when you get organised we want more of it!!!!
Hope all the cupboard assembling goes well and you find your way around your stuff in as short a time as possible.

  3. I know how you feel! :) Paper crafting is just a hobby and finding the time to do it around my fulltime job is challenging.

Love the color combo on this card! Really makes the blue and orange pop!

  4. A lovely card and I bet you are thrilled at the prospect of your new craft room! As a relatively recent addict to WMS I am really looking forward to the new releases - although there are so many of the existing stamps that I "must have"!

  7. There is nothing worse than having to choose between your business or your craft or your family! You are dedicated and successful at all three so no apologies necessary.

But what I do want to know is how you got that window in the card??? My Cuttlebug and Sizzix won't take a full size sheet of card stock so ... someday.. perhaps a tutorial??

Enjoy all the 'new' and moving in - it can be very inspiring!

  9. Hi Claire!

It's always a pleasure to check here and there's always lots to see and to experience! Not to worry, I think all of us are happy to spend our time on your WMS blog! I do wish for you your new space will be finished end of the week, I can totally imagine how you really long for that!!! And I must admit I am curious what it will be like, after the peak photo a while ago. Good thing you will get some help - that makes life easier!
All the best, Claire, and I'm sure we are all putting a big note in our agenda for the new release! ;-)

    Hugs, Wendy

  11. GOR-JUS card, Claire! Hang in there, girlie! We are finishing off a bonus room in our house for the past 2 months now, so I FEEL YOUR PAIN -- such a dusty, messy mess and I can't wait for it to be done and all these workers OUT of my house. Your craft space will be such a treasured haven for you to lose yourself in :)

  12. Hello Claire,
It's great to see you back on the blog. Been missing you! Your home renovation sounds wonderful (well the final product anyway, not the "living in a building site" part - been there, done that). Can't wait for you to share photos of your new space.
    Looking forward to March 1!

The hubby and I share an office/craft room and it is so hard to be so cramped - I totally feel your pain! I can't wait to see what your new space looks like and of course, the new release! I've been on a WMS withdrawl. :) 'grats!!

  19. No worries, Clare...I can totally understand that you're juggling an enormous amount of stuff, and your stamp sets are gorgeous! To be honest, I already have a wish list a mile long so I kind of appreciate that new releases are not coming out constantly...I feel a bit overwhelmed in those cases, and frustrated that I can't get everything I want (limited funds, darnit! I hate that... ;) Looking forward to your new releases, and I enjoy your site and the sketch challenges even during your remodeling hiatus! :) (I just wish I had more WM stamps to use on the sketches...)

  27. While we do miss you, we realize that some things take precedence over crafting...like designing awesome stamps, mail outs, and a fabulous craft room (under construction)that monopolizes so much of your precious time!!! Did I mention family? They must be your first priority...right? LOL, of course! anything that I can do to help...HOLLER!!!!!
