...Soo?

ED again - and yes ladies I do love that warm glow....and I'm not ready to lose it, I use natural light as much as possible but some days here are very gray, esp in winter so we'll not be seeing the end of the brown paper just yet, I did try other things a week or two ago, but I love the brown paper background, no matter how unprofessional my DH thinks it is!! LOL!!! - And thank you all for the suggestions, I'll be working my way through what can and can't be done over the next couple of days!!! Cheers ladies!

ED - Oh yes, deets of the lightbox will be all over this blog...soon as I actually unpack it and use it...LOL, ta for asking Debby!

We're redesigning the blog as you can see, I wanted a nice clean streamlined feel... I'm hoping that we'll have larger photos of stuff that I make in future and so I wanted the design to sort of recede into the background so's the pictures would take centre stage...LOL..I also invested in a light box...so I hope to get that rigged up soon!!! Maybe get that set up at the weekend!!

I think we're getting there but I just thought I'd ask if there was anything folks specifically wanted to see on the blog.

We have a new search feature and the translation widget is still with us. We re-organised a lot of stuff into tabs at the top as you can see, but if there was something specific that a lot of folks felt was missing, now would be the time to try to add it in!! So, if you have a suggestion we'd love to hear it...my web dude is standing by... LOL,

cheers ladies and gents...(yep we have some guy visitors too, they're pretty shy, but I know they're out there!)

  4. Wonderful. I like a nice a clean lined blog, nothing worse than going on to a blog and it takes forever to load all the background graphics, etc that they've added.

  7. Lovely clean and fresh. Your projects will shine! Can I be cheeky and ask which light box you got and from where. I've been wondering about this as I chase all over the house trying to find the best light to take photos!

  8. Oooh Claire, it seems that we're all at it! Me thinks Sandie's been working her magic regarding white space. I do agree with GiddyGardener that the header could do with just a little colour...

  9. I was sad to hear you got a lightbox, Claire. One of the things I have always loved about your photos of your projects is the wonderful warm light that everything seems to be infused with. In fact, I have often wondered how you achieved that warm glow. I suspect the lightbox may well make things brighter and therefore technically better as details may be more visible, etc. but I also suspect that wonderful ambience will be lost. I really hope I am wrong! And I agree, need some colour up there in the banner, missy! LOL!

  10. Oh, and the sweet Waltzing Mouse needs to be featured in the banner, too.

  12. This looks great!! I love the new banner, though I loved the old one. I agree with Charmaine, I've always loved your photos - but I actually stole your brown paper idea, and am using it in a lightbox, and it's only brighter enough to showcase details - it still has the warmth your photos do! But she's also right - that awesome little mouse needs to make an appearance ;)

  14. I love the font of your heading, Claire! Is that your handwriting? Reminds me of the new sentiments in Teeny Trees and Frame It!

I'm siding a little with Charmaine on the photographing of your projects...I SOOOO love the unique style you have! All warm and snuggly just like you, hee! Always know it's a Claire original with that krafty wrap background...maybe you could still keep that with your new light box? Just look at the photo of your "tag you're it" project with that background...so PRETTY!

  15. Lovin' the new clean look. And I gotta say, maybe you added me a long time ago and I just barely noticed it, but WOW! What an honor to be on your crafty blog list. Thank you! :)

  16. Hi Claire

I like what you've done with the place!!! The clean and simple lines allow your cards and pictures to shine out. But I do agree that the Little Waltzing Mouse needs to be in the banner - he's cute! I like it.

    Regards, Deborah x

  17. Hi Claire, loving the new look, the only thing I would like to see is more step by step instructions of how you andthe DT create your wonderful cards.....bit like Nichole Heady does.....it's all time tho hun I know.x

  18. Claire, On Bonnie Sharp's blog it has a wee heading under each of the wms design team's names to say what their latest posting is - I always find that helpful as after looking at your blog, I go to Bonnie's to see if anyone has posted anything new. It then saves looking at them all to find something new - just an idea?

  19. If it is not already in the making it would be good to have tags that allow us to click back to the release posts for each of the sets... it is always nice to be able to flick back to what inspired you to purchase that particular set... would be a great complement to the Gallery, you know with all your extra wordy bits that can be refreshed whenever we like...

  20. Your new look is wonderful, Claire. One small suggestion: add my favorite little waltzing mouse to the banner logo. Congratulations on the new look!

  21. I am a little sad and missing your banner with the waltzing mouse that made your blog seem so much different then all the other generic blogs I have visited. You are truly a talented designer and I enjoy visiting your blog every day.
