...Merry Christmas!! it's not over... just yet!!LOL!

I'm hoping you all are having a lovely Christmas, I don't consider it officially over till midnight on the 31st! lol, yep, I love to drag it out. Seems so unfair to do all that hard work for just one day!!

Didn't manage to make a post on Christmas or get my newsletter out, or do a million other things I intended as we managed to bag ourselves a pretty nasty stomach flu just right at the start of Christmas proceedings! lol. It's the same every year, it wouldn't be Christmas at the Brennans unless someone was ill!

Thankfully, I can see the funny side of having a house stocked to the gills with tasty treats and no-one able to eat them. Everything freezable is frozen and everything else is chocolate so that'll keep. I woke up this morning feeling ok and decided it was high time to open some prezzies!! Little dude is still working through his pile, lol.

Anyhow, I just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope it's going well for you, and if it's not, I hope the Big Guy upstairs has you in the palm of his hand.

  1. aww sick on Christmas! YUCK! Glad to hear everyone is on the mend now.

  2. Hi Claire,

So glad to hear that everyone is on the mend. Enjoy the rest of your holiday!!!

  3. Merr Christmas Claire! I hope you are all feeling better soon and able to enjoy the rest of the holiday.

  4. Belated Merry Christmas to you and your family, too, Claire! I hope that you're all feeling better real soon and are able to enjoy what remains of the holidays! 2010 is going to be a great year for you - I just KNOW it!

  5. Claire, my Christmas morning began on one of the merriest notes indeed -- the first gift I opened was the two Waltzingmouse sets that my dear husband got for me! They were still in the envelope you sent them in, as he knew I would enjoy seeing your (beautiful) writing and the Royal Mail postage label. (That same wonderful man said to send a 'hello' your way.)

What a treat to sit on this side of the ocean with my new goodies in front of me. Thank you so much for providing the inspiration, and for combining two of my favorite things -- stamps and Nestabilities!

I hope that you and all your family members continue to feel better. Thank you again for all that you do, and thank you for helping to put the 'Merry" in my Christmas.

  6. This was our first ILL Christmas at the Davis'. Oh My - I sure hope it skips us next year.
The boys gave me their crud and it landed on Christmas Day! I got through the day like a champ...

Anyway - I'm so glad you all are better. Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years!

  7. Awww,Claire, sounds like the Grinch made an appearnace,eh? Seems like there is always one nasty bug to come along and slow up the fun, but 'TIS the Season, not just one day.
Party on,now, Girl, and have a Healthy New Year!

  8. Oh, Claire, I agree with Karolyn--2010 is going to be a fabulous year for you!!! I just know it too! I "can feel it in my bones"! So sorry to hear your family was sick for the Holidays, but like your "it's not over...just yet" attitude! You go Girl!!!

  9. Glad you are all starting to feel better ~ you have a great attitude for it!! Hope the rest of the Christmas season is truly blessed for you and yours, Claire!

  10. So sorry to hear about the darned flu bug Grinch, Claire! He visited me early on the 26th- grrrr. Two of our gifts were forgotten under the tree and one is mine so I'll still be enjoying Christmas - til I get over to get it at least-lol!
Lola, you lucky devil! Your hubby sounds like a sweet keeper :)
And Claire, I too think 2010 is going to be a stellar year for you - we all feel it!
Enjoy the holidays - we're having a light big-flake showfall right now. So perfect for snowmen :-)
