So, maybe you fancy a smaller, more intimate scale of plaid than the samples i showed you on Monday?
No, problem, simply use the SAME STAMP to create dainty little checks and stripes like these - it's all about how you use the stamp.
Ink the stamp with a pale colour on the wider band and a dark colour on the narrow band and stamp. Ink up again and this time make sure the darker, narrow band stamps on top of the wider, paler band you just stamped!! Easy peasy lemon squeezy!! And what fun!!
I used distress ink, Antique Linen - as I like the soft effect and a versacolour burgundy.
I have a real dinky wee project in line for this plaid, hopefully have it here tonight or tomorrow!!
If you are new here and this post doesn't make any sense, scroll down to check out yesterdays post!!!
Hope it tickles!!
These are going to be so much fun to play with Claire! The combinations are probably limitless!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous Claire! I can't get over how much it looks like fabric! I love it!
ReplyDeleteClaire, you're driving me potty! Those plaids are just super, you never cease to amaze me with what you come up with next! Can't wait to see your next project...

ReplyDeleteLooks very cozy Claire!
ReplyDeleteClaire this set is wonderful! I can see so many combinations and plaids. I bet you can even make your own gingham (where is Joan?)!!I'm looking forward to seeing the project that uses today's plaid. So much fun!!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh!!! Another fabulous set that I simply MUST have. I adore plaid and I much prefer making my own backgrounds rather than purchasing printed paper.
ReplyDeleteThat is so clever Claire, I may just have to get my greedy little paws on that set!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, this is so cool I can hardly stand it! When I was in the 5th grade my mom made me 5 different plaid skirts to start out the school year -- these plaids so take me back to those days when I felt so special with all my plaid skirts.
ReplyDeleteI love these plaids that you've been doing Claire. So clever.
ReplyDeleteLooks like antique pillow ticking, Claire- just perfect!!
