...another christmas card

ED - actually - as Donna just spotted the smallest snowflake stamp was not from the Believe set but from the Holiday treats set (Also PTI) - tried to contact you Donna, can't find your contact details.

I'm just grabbing five mins while the family are out to put up this christmas card I made - the snowflakes are from PTI stamps from the set Snowflake serenade, I arranged them into one big snowflake and then embossed them. Then I stamped around them with a wee snowflake from the Believe set (also PTI), these are stamped in versamark - finished with a bit of chocolate brown ribbon and a sentiment (It's also PTI). I can't wait for all the chocolatey goodies coming up on the PTI website next tuesday!!

I didn't intend to put the sentiment over the centre of the large snowflake but I just thought it looked better that way.

Phew! - I am struggling at the moment with how long it takes me to make a card - I seem to be only able to make one in an evening and I can't craft every evening - I bet that's real slow compared to everyone else. There is the problem of having to unpack all my supplies and then pack them away again when I'm finished -i'm finding this a major chore - wish I could win the lottery and build a craft room!!

Anyhow, have a lovely weekend - i'm hoping to have some new pics of Ireland to post next week

  1. This is a wonderful card, Claire. Such an maginative way to use your snowflakes. You are giving me so many ideas for my Christmas cards! Love how your sentiment centers your snowflake...it's perfect.

  2. Claire this is beautiful!!! I hope you entered it in the Guest Star Stamper contest - truly gorgeous! Don't feel bad, I am a very slow stamper! I can usually only get 1 card done a day (and it takes me at least an hour or more!). Sometimes I can putter all day on a card . . . between children and chores! :)

  4. So sometimes I spend a couple of days trying to get a card the way I want it. On a very rare occasion I will get one done in a couple of hours but usually it takes days. BTW, I absolutely LOVE this card. Like Julie said you need to enter this in the Guest Star Stamper. -Molly B

  5. Very pretty! Great idea.
You are the reason I went and bought white embossing powder today. I always used to stamp on white, use clear embossing powder and sponge color. But after seeing your cards, I had to get some.

  6. One more thing. What is quantity, compared to quality. So don't feel bad.

  12. Claire, I love how you used the smaller snowflakes to make a big snowflake--very creative and pretty too. You've got such great talent for design/layout of cards.

Don't feel bad about making one card a day--sometimes it could take a few days for me to finish one even with a dedicated craft space.

  14. Very cute card! I'm a slow stamper, too. I usually only get one card done in a sitting. I've always wondered how some can get three or five done in an evening!

  16. This is so exciting! I love your card, not least because it's from the PTI range; but also because you're in Ireland! (So am I!)

PTI is just so cool; especially in YOUR giant snowflake! Don't worry, by Christmas there will be lots & lots of snowflakes, snowballs & snowmen.

Enjoy crafting at your own speed...
