Happy 4th July to all my USA buddies. I have a very restrained 4th July card for you, which is probably not at all in keeping with the overall festivities, but since this card started out as an experiment, and since I am feeling a bit below par, I'm just glad to get it finished.
I hope you all have a wonderful 4th - whether you are celebrating or not.
I used the Brogue dies to make this, I like how the front panel turned out - I also embossed a little with my scorpal, abut I think I should have used a darker blue ink for the USA1776 sentiment.
Ah well...
this is gorgeous. hope you feel above par soon! now I want these dies!!
ReplyDeleteCheers Joan! :)
DeleteLovely! I'm thinking that I " need" those dies now!

ReplyDeleteMore to come Charmaine! Thanks for popping in! :)
DeleteWhat method or tool did you use for the stitching around the border?
ReplyDeleteHi Charlotte! ooh god spot - I forgot to mention that I used the stitched rectangle dies also!! will add a link to the post!
DeleteI think it's a very elegant 4th of July card. Do like the dies.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better soon xx
Cheers Deborah, yep I'm currently winning a world record for how many viruses a person can pick up in one year ....
DeleteThanks for the greeting Claire. I think it's perfect...it kind of counterbalances the craziness of overdone fireworks with dignity. I'm definitely going to order the Brogue Dies. By the way, my Granddaughter cannot get enough of your Statue of Liberty.
ReplyDeleteThanks Claire ,we were in Yosemite National Park . You come up with the best ideas for beautiful cards! Hope you are feeling well by now.
