...Introducing Your Sparkle and Mini Coffee Baggie die New release samples

Good Afternoon! I have something dinky to show you today - A fabby die that produces a dinky little Mini coffee bag! I've been itching to show you this one! I paired it with the new stamp set Your Sparkle to make up a little gift ensemble.

The new products that I'm showing yesterday, today and until Monday will all become available on the store on Monday at 7:00pm my time.  I'm sampling on my own this time around as I have swopped things up a little for the Design Team. The DT ladies will be showcasing these items on their blogs during the rest of the month and we will have one or two guests joining us. We will keep you up to date with all of the new samples and you will also be able to see them here on our Pinterest June Board. It's worth following Waltzingmouse Stamps on Pinterest so that the new items appear in your feed.

The Your Sparkle set is a mini set, it contains 5 stamps and bags of potential. The major stamp in the set is this one 'Never let anyone dull your sparkle' and for my set this afternoon I silver embossed it onto plain white card. To get the intense pink colour I dropped Distress ink (Picked Raspberry) right from the dropper onto the embossed sentiment in 3 places close to the centre of the words. I then spritzed a little plain water on it and watched it spread out. I left it to dry and just before it was finished drying completely, I burnished the silvered sentiment to remove any residue of pink and let those words shine. I really didn't feel like much else was needed to make a decent card front, other than a couple of sequins. I did just edge the top and bottom with some pieces of silver card that I trimmed with a Stitched Rectangle die (also new for Monday - more on those later).

I made a tag for my gift bag - I made it in the shape of a magic wand. I used another sentiment from the Your Sparkle set 'You can and you will' - it just sounds to me like something Glinda the good witch of the North (Wizard of Oz) would say - and it's something I say to my girls all the time.

I cut out two stars with Spellbinder star dies and worked them in the same way as the card front. I smooched a little versamark along the edges of the star and silver gilded it with embossing powder - it's a really neat contrast to the strong pink. For my wand stick I just used a striped paper straw - it was easy to just squash the top end and sandwich it between the two stars together with some pieces of ribbon. I think it makes a cute tag for a gift bag.

The thing I was wanting to play with most was the Mini Coffee Bag die though...For this gift set I made one up, filled it with sparkle and hung it from the tag.

It is a perfect miniature version of a coffee bag. I like coffee bags. :)

I made this bag out of something called foiled parchment - you can get it at food wrapping aisle of the grocery shop.

The brand I used was Bacofoil Lined Parchment and I chose that one because it is food safe...can you see where I'm going with this? Yep? You could make these up and add sprinkles etc - edible stuff! I used the tiniest little piece of clear plastic that I cut from a food wrapper - so that it was also food safe. I cat the clear plastic quite a bit bigger than the window, so that the double sided tape that I attached it with would be firmly sandwiched between the clear plastic and the bag and would not be in contact with any foodie things that I might add to the bag. (Don't worry, there will be pics of this in a later post) I made a bunch of these very quickly - you will see them creeping up in my next lot of projects with all sorts of yummy things in them...

For this project I wanted to fill them with something sparkly and does it get any sparklier than sequins?...not in my house... These are as close to bling as I get - I'm a recent convert to sequinism, maybe blingism will follow. There was a time when I would not have thanked you for them and now I can't get enough of them...more on that later also....

This is the reverse of the baggie when it is made up. The benefit of using foil also is that it stays folded at the top just like a real tin tie coffee bag.

I recommend using this die with papers rather than thick cards - it will cut the card no problem, but you will find card a little bulky in the folding at the top. Keep an eye out to see what else I use it with in the next few posts.

Sure hope it tickles!
