...with Gratitude

A quick card - a very quick card, 10 mins at the most, but then I let the Cameo do all the hard work and cut out the flower shapes before stamping them in tones of Grey ink.

I stamped two sizes of flower image in tones of grey and black on each cut-out to create a custom bloom, I love the graphic style of these flowers, simple enough to be elegant or bold depending on what sort of card you are making. The flowers and leaves are all from our newly released Funky Flower set.

A little background embossing with a Tim Holtz embossing folder and popped up the flowers and leaves on different thicknesses of foam tape.

Trimmed out a yellow panel and stamped a sentiment from Big Day Today - pretty much done! Oh and popped a pearl in the centre of the largest flower and some blobs of shiny gloopy stuff - stickles, not sure, the name has worn off, in the middle of the smaller flowers.

Hope it tickles!

  1. Absolutely stunning! I love the tones of grey and black in the flowers and the splash of colour with the yellow. Just fabby!

  2. I agree - drop dead gorgeous! Love, love, love the gray! These flowers are so perfect for layering, they are some of my favorites!

  3. Just Beautiful Claire! Love the grays with the contrast of bright orange!

  4. I have been stamping the leaves in grey but not the flowers yet and I love the way you've doubled up on them. You know I'm a big fan of using black ink. Beautiful card - thanks for the inspiration. Hugs

  5. OMGosh GORGEOUS Claire! I am so happy I have that new sentiment stamp …fell in love with it right away!

  6. Such an interesting card - you got me with the bright color, and then the unexpected flower colors, and wow, that crisp embossing. Absolutely gorgeous!

  7. Claire, what a beautiful card!! Not colors that I would think of using, but it is just wonderful!! You DO have the artist's eye!! Hugs, H
