ED - Lynn Hardy - pop me an email on claire.brennan1@ntlworld.com I'd love to see if I can format files to suit at least one of your machines! :)
ED - It's the textured 12x12 card that comes in a box Cathy - ta for asking!
Good afternoon. It's lovely and sunny in between raindrops here and I managed to snap a pic of this little morsel in between clouds. It's the second in my trio of Art deco card fronts, I will have another for you later on.
I love the diamond inspired pattern on this one, I am very drawn to strong geometric patterns...well I'm drawn to pattern of any kind, but there is definitely something about a nice crisp mathematically inspired pattern.
Kept it simple as before, I cut the panel on my Silhouette Cameo and mounted it on foam pads, teeny tiny wee foam pads, to allow it to cast a little shadow on the pale blue card front. A perfectly plain cream panel for my sentiment (
Paris Nouveau) and a little beaded doodad to finish. Thought it was rather pretty at that stage so I left it alone.
Hope it tickles and if you did fancy having a go at the Art deco panels, they are
available on the store here. A bundle of 3 detailed card panels in .svg and ,dxf formats.
Just for you Katarina, I used these settings on the Cameo - Media - Coverstock, Speel - 1, Thickness - 33. I used a thinner cardstock - American crafts - it cuts like butter. I slow the speed right down - I just pop off for a cuppa while the machine toils away. I don't do a double cut. On heavier cardstock I nearly always do a double cut, but with the American Crafts card I don't need to. Hope this helps!
Wish it was home time already - want to go and play :(
ReplyDeleteOh Wow! This is absolutely stunning! I think it's my favourite of the two fronts so far - I do like the geometric diamonds! And that touch of sparkle is fab!
ReplyDeleteWow, Claire, I absolutely ADORE your new cut files, and this one is Gorgeous!! I'm sat here wishing I have brought my Cameo with me :( Counting the days...till I get back. Your card is Beautiful, and the beaded design looks so elegant!!
ReplyDeleteThis card is so incredibly lovely and soft. What an amazing shade of ??? you used underneath the die cut.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Claire! I'm trying these out pronto!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. Went right to your shop to get them.
ReplyDeleteThese would make beautiful background stamp designs too (hint, hint!).
ReplyDeleteStunningly GORGEOUS!!
ReplyDeleteReally pretty card!
ReplyDeleteOh my wordy, this is adorable - I don't have a Cameo but I would pay to buy pre-cut sheets of this! So beautiful Claire! Rx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful set of cards...just wondering if you are using the textured or smooth American Crafts card stock Claire?
ReplyDeletestunning!
ReplyDeleteLove this, simply stunning!
ReplyDeleteOH my goodness, Claire!!! this #2 is just as amazingly beautiful as the #1 cut!!! So now I need my 3rd (sigh) cutting machine? :-)
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous! I like Ruth's idea of buying pre cut sheets if dies aren't available. I have five different die cutting machines but none of them will cut your files and I can't afford to buy another machine (nor do I have room in my craft room for much else)! Joanne's idea to have these as background stamps is also a good one.
ReplyDeleteGirl, you are doing some amazing things with the art deco look. so very simple and elegant.
ReplyDeleteClaire - you make me so envious of your cutting machine! Couldn't we just have background stamps for the rest of us LOL!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely LOVE this one!!
ReplyDeleteStunning - love all the detail!
ReplyDeleteLovely card, the cut files are great.
