...Monday morning made this

So, I was completely blindsided on Monday morning by the fact that it was half term here and all the wee folks are off - the cry was up for pancakes for breakfast and since I am good, nay, since I excell at making pancakes, I was not hard to persuade.....

Look at that rolled pancake,  dripping with lemon juice and maple syrup and real maple syrup thank you, none of that pretend stuff here...LOL....it's like an ad for M&S....it's my one thing that I'm good at in the kitchen, so I can be forgiven for blowing my own trumpet a little

It was pretty much Monday night before I remembered that it was Monday at all.....Tuesday has been most constructive so far though, lots of admin completed and tonight I will be dancing my way through the doily blog hop, tea in one hand, left-over pancakes in the other....just kidding there are NEVER left over pancakes when I make them....... :)

  2. YUM. These look just like crepes.. my mom used to make crepes when I was a kid. She'd make loads of them and we'd have them for dinner.. full of grape jelly or lemon juice and sugar. These look fabulous.. would you share the recipe?

  7. Oooh! They look positively scrummy-licious Claire! Your piccies make my mouth water LOL! I like em with just lemon juice and a sprinkle of sugar - the way we had em as kids but hubby would disagree and side with you on the maple syrup thing. I think I might make these when the grandkids come over on Friday.

  11. I am notoriously inept at pancakes Claire, and last Tuesday I made the worst ones ever! They ended up in the bin! What's your secret?

  12. You are indeed a cruel lady to be posting pictures of this type for me to see as I wake up from my slumber, stomach growling! I could practically smell the goodness leaping from the screen, especially as I've been having a craving for some pancakes of my own. Cruel, indeed. Perhaps you'd be willing to include some of these with the next release?...

  13. These crepes look wonderful! Liked everyone else says...YUMMERS! Did u share your recipe anywhere on your blog? I'm more experience making American flapjacks. These look way yummier. Only tried crepes once early in my marriage and husb wanted flapjacks....I preferred the crepe style...hey! Maybe THAT's why said marriage didnt work! Mystery solved!! :). Seriously would luv to try yours, if u don't mind sharing across the ocean. I love your stamps! (She said, shamelessly flattering her...).-enjoy, Terry Y.
