...can't resist!

I love this stamp set. It might just be my favourite ever. Which is ironic because I can't openly use many of the stamps!

If you want to see the other stamps in this set, pop over to this post to get the deets!

Anyhow, I couldn't resist using the tree and snowflake stamps from the set on this card. I inked up the tree in versacolour inks, Atlantic first all over the stamp and then dabbed around the edge with the khaki. I liker versacolour inks for this because the pads are spongy and you can get things blended quite well. I find this nearly impossible with some other brands of ink pads.

Then I trimmed out the tree and ripped a bit of Enchanted evening cardstock into a rough outline shape of the tree as a mat. I lay the trimmed tree down and drew around it onto the Enchanted evening cardstock, then I tore it roughly just outside the line.

I mounted this onto a panel of card that roughly matched the Khaki ink, random card from back of stash, sorry. I had stamped the panel with the snowflake image in versamark first and wit the sentiment also from this set, in Enchanted evening ink.

Popped a wee bit of ribbon around to give it a bit of zest and coloured in another stamped tree (copic marker), just the star bit, and cut it out to layer over the tree on my card. Would have loved a ginger coloured star gem...but don't have any! lol

And see that background? It's a fab wee herringbone pattern cuttlebug folder that I picked up recently to match some stamps from my next release....oops! tee hee.

hope it tickles!

  1. I know what you mean! LOL

Are there chances you can design some thin borders for the Spellbinders "Labels 9" set? I absolutely love these dies and it would be great to have a matching stamp set.

I used them in the last notecard I made with the Seasons of Love set, but with a little frame they would have been better!

  4. Beautiful! I love all the little details. I think it is great that the tree image can be used by itself.. And did I hear you say the words 'herringbone' and 'next release'?? Oh goodness. ;)

  5. Love your choice of colors. Can't wait to play with this new set. I have been so busy using Sewing Box-Christmas that I haven't had time to ink up any new stamps! I ordered Labels 1 from a LSS and when I picked it up she was so excited about your sets that are compatible with nesties. Wasn't sure if you were at all interested in any wholesale accounts but I gave her your contact info. Hope that is okay. Big family gathering this weekend for Thanksgiving but after that I can get back to playing with my newest order. Have a good weekend.......

I just received my big order of stamps and am still just playing with them-you all know what I mean: stamp then ooh and aah-lol! I'm loving how well they emboss and am especially loving all the little detail stamps I had nearly forgotten. It's exciting to be so excited about stamping again :)
Does herringbone in your next release mean more of your yummy graphics?! Oh, be still my heart!
