...a wee gingerbread man

I love gingerbread men. Yesterday I thought I'd make one. - I cut a sizzix gingerbread man out of frosted shrink plastic and coloured him with the only brown ink pad I have. Then I baked him - he turned out really dinky.

I wanted to put him on a card. At this point I must tell you that I have very limited cardstock - I haven't managed to track down a good local supply yet - I'd love some PapertreyInk cardstock but shipping to Ireland is horrendous for this heavy item.

Sooooo... I spent 2 hours playing with what I do have and I have to tell you that the red and kraft combination was the best I have, no really - It was.

I'm looking forward to making this card again soon as I get a decent supply of cardstock.

I used:

Shrinkles Shrink plastic - frosted.
PTI Snowflake serenade stamps
PTI Holiday wishes stamp for the sentiment
PTI Holiday treats stamp for the snowflake B/G on the tag
Kraft card
Red ribbed card from The Paper Mill Shop
Nestabilities plain and scalloped squares
Plain white card
Versacolour Ink pad Paprika
Papermania medium brad

I'll get on to the halloween card soon as poss, and in answer to the lady who requested how to sign up to my blog - I'm not sure yet but I think there's a wee link at the bottom of the blog that says "subscribe to:posts". I was unable to contact you as there was no email to follow.

  2. I am so glad that I have found your blog in its early stages b/c I can follow your growth which I'm sure will happen as folks discover your talent. If I ever am blessed to visit your country I will bring you some cardstock. A good friend of mine whom I met in the state where I used to live moved to New Zealand a year after I moved her. Four years later she is coming to the United States to visit and she told me that the first thing she wants to do is visit the local craft store and stock up on all the items she can't buy in NZ. I hope she brings a huge suitcase:) Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cards with us and for the photos of your breathtaking country. Look forward to seeing more of your work.
