...tweets tag and Port Sunlight show pics

Morning folks, a wee fast tag for you this morning, had the bits left over from the release and wondered what a Folk Art Snowflake die cut would look like on a tag. I centred it on the little hole for the string and I quite like how this looks. I popped on a robin on from Warm Fuzzies. He is stamped on a shape I cut with the co-ordinating cut files. I added a contrasting grommet to the tag and it was done.

BTW, our Next PJ party is on the 14th - scroll down to read all about the challenges and yep, you're invited!

Happy Stampers Festival at Port Sunlight Oct 2014

I'm nearly caught up with admin etc after the Stamping Festival at Port Sunlight last weekend, I grossly underestimated how much work was involved, but hey, at least I know now for next time.

We have not traveled much before and so I was maybe a little apprehensive about going all the way to Liverpool to set up shop, but I needn't have worried. The folks who organise the Port Sunlight show could not have been more lovely and despite the fact that we were in company with about 30 other stamp companies, they managed to make us feel like our happiness was paramount. They are very special people indeed and it was our privilege to have been invited.

Well I had all sorts of plans, I was going to do demo's and take pics of everyone who came to the WMS stand. Nothing, and I mean nothing, would have prepared me for the onslaught - we managed to get a few shots of the stand before the doors opened and for ever after that we were swept along on a tide. Once the Festival closed at 4pm it was a mad rush to get packed up in time for the boat - I never knew a day go so fast and I never met so many lovely folks all in one place - special shout out here to Lynn Hardy for the yummy treats, that was so thoughtful!

Sandie from our Design Team came with me and it must be said, took the reins. Sandie has extensive experience of shows and I was quietly thanking Heaven every 5 minutes for her help and very good sense.

Sandie's side of the stand looked fabby, esp compared to mine lol, and so I stood in front of her side to get the obligatory pic taken, can't get this Sandie woman in front of a camera though so you've only me to look at.

My only regret is that we were not all finished setting up the night before - we would have loved to have been able to spend the hour before the show shopping at the other stands!!! Next time!

  2. So lovely to see your pics from the show - it looks AMAZING!! I know what it is like to run a show myself, albeit a small, local Christmas fair (and also run a stand when you're hosting said show), so I can certainly appreciate all the time and effort you had to put into this. So glad to hear it was worth it though.
Fab little festive tag too btw, Rx

  4. Your stall really did look pretty, I imagine it *was* quite a shock to see the doors open and all those people pour in :) I've been going regularly for many years now and I love it - mainly as it's predominantly stamping.
