...August 09 release Day 3 More Christmas!!!

Competition Day!!!

ED - this competition is now closed and a winner picked!! Many thanks

Leave a comment at the end of today's post to be in with a chance of winning a stampset of your choice from this release!!

I want to know what you think of packaging. My stamps come on clear carrier sheets, in a poly bag. Anyone who has ordered will tell you that it is functional but not beautiful. I chose this basic packaging for a couple of reasons but the main goal was to keep costs down so that the stampsets could be keenly priced and the shipping cheap because of the low bulk. (For shipping cost etc see my store info here)

The Question I'd like to ask you is - 'Would you prefer more beautiful packaging/stamp storage option, such as clear CD etc if it meant stampsets and shipping were sligtly more expensive?' So leave your comment and I will pick a random winner on Friday Night (my time). Thanks for looking!

So, you all fed up yet!! lol. I got a shedload of stuff to get through before I open the selling for these stampsets, If you are new here, I'm showing samples this week of 4 New Stampsets that I will be releasing soon as I get through the samples!! most likely Sat/Sun. The Clear Photopolymer stampsets retail at £13 sterling each (approx just over $22 US dollars at todays rate, which is subject to change) and I ship to US, Canada, Australia, Europe, UK and Ireland. (Approimate shipping costs can bee seen on the store site here in the left hand sidebar, scroll down.)

You will be able to see the complete sets here on my blog later in the week, so call back and bring buddies, there's at least one more competition after this one!!

Kicking off today with a few more tags made with the Very Vintage Christmas stampset described yesterday, I so love making these tags, and I've really only scratched the surface here, I can think of loads of other things to do with these stamps but there just aren't enough hours in the day!! lol.

Above is a one layer simplified version of yesterdays tag ( you might want to post one on a card) and a Green and champaign coloured tag that I absolutely love. There's something very sophisticated about the Joyeux Noel sentiment and I don't think you need to be French to use it! lol. Love that wee scroll flourish stamp - there's a matching pair of these in the set!!

Scroll down to see all of todays samples, and you might want to check out the two previous posts, just incase you missed anything!!

Tag above stamped in distress ink, I love a cream/fawn colour scheme as well as the rich reds and greens!!

Added a bit of sparkle to the blues!

This is the simple tag I was telling you about yesterday - it's all one stamp - superfast to stamp and punch out. Coulouring is really easy due to some nice thick black lines! (wink!) add a colored mat and away you go - tag back is optional, I used a border stamp to add two decorative bars to the reverse of my tag.

The stamp co-ordinates with a 2.5 inch punch - I don't have one, so I used a nestabilities classic circle!! Bit of ribbon, wee bell.

Whipped up a couple of cards to show the kind of backgrounds that you can make with this set. There is a long filigree border that I just love in the Very Vintage Christmas set. I used it to make a background for the card above stamping it in several shades of green! Sponged it all with antique distress ink and added ribbon and a wee corner sentiment! The holly and berries is a single stamp, all you need to do is colour, or not as the notion takes you. Stamped a sentiment and was finished.

On this card I used the readymade snowflake (single stamp) to speedily make a patterned background for my card. Popped some red into the design with a dinky circle stamp included in the set. Sentiment in green with a co-ordinating weeny red snowflake stamp.

Hope they tickle. Don't forget to leave a comment to be in with a chance of winning!!

  1. Absolutely stunning as always Claire :) I think you should send the stamps out as you are, if people wan to pop them in cd cases im sure they wont mind buying them themselves. Heck you can get the packs of empty ones and fill them all with your yummy stamps!! :)

  2. Personally I like the presentation of your stamp sets. You're right, they are clean and functional.

To be honest, having tried the cd case route I find that these are actually better for me. I am a desperately untidy crafter and find that my cd cases never make it back to their lovely practical stand!

By contrast I can always lay my hands on your sets simply because they are that little bit bigger. Also I've found that the sticky on your sets seems to stay better than on cd case stored sets - I'm talking about first time of use...

Maybe you could sell the cd cases separately, like our friends over on PTI? That way everyone's happy...

    LOve those stamps!

  3. I agree with Debbie, packaging isn't too important to me as I repackage my own into either a sturdy cd type case or into a photo album, one of those with either two of four divisions in the pockets. I would say keep your costs down (including postage costs) and let people store as they'd wish.

  4. Claire, your amazing! There aren't enough adjectives to describe the beauty of your creations. I am getting ready to place my first order. I agree with Debbie that it is easy (and cheap) enough for customers to purchase their own CD cases. The way you have described your choice of packaging makes complete sense and being on the other side of "the pond" makes me appreciate the thought you put into it!
    Best Regards,
    Kate W.

  5. They are gorgeous :)

I would save the pennies and send them just as you have been, like Debbie said CD boxes are cheap enough for customers to buy themselves

  6. Claire I sadly do not have any of your stamps, am hoping to rectify that my a small purchase in the near future. Anyway I digress, I personally do not care how the stamps are packaged as long as they get to me safely. Everyone appears to store stamps differently and I welcome cheaper prices than fancy packaging.

  7. So so lovely! I love all these Christmas stamps! I think plain packaging is best (especially if it helps keep shipping costs down). CD cases are easy to find (even recycle ones you already own)!

  8. I just love these labels Claire! and the colors you used are so different and all so pretty! The bg stamps look super on the cards - this is one great set!

I go for less cost on the packaging - I take your sets and put them in large plastic boxes that have several white shiny sheets in them - one set fits on each page - I put your vinyl pictures of the set on the page first - then put the stamps over that - these particular boxes hold about 4 sets each of your stamps.

  9. I vote for keeping prices low...I love your sets, especially the new christmas one. Everyone has access to cd cases, and if they want to use them, I say leave it up to them...Keep up the great design work (stamps and projects) You are an inspiration!

    Hello Claire,
After receiving my first set of your wonderful new images, I have decided that they are just fine in the packaging. I have taken the sheet they sit on and inserted them in a clear plastic notebook divider with pockets available at my local dept. store. Then into a big 3-ring binder. The tabs on the dividers allow me to label them and away I go.
I am so pleased with the sets I ordered--lots of wonderful comments on the finished products, too. I know I am in "trouble" though, as I look at these new issues--gotta have'em all! :-)
And even though I am not a big Hallowe'en buff, I really love the little witch--DH thinks it's a portrait of me! wink wink

  11. Claire - I need not a beautiful package - I need beautiful stamps ;) send your wonderful stamps as you think best. (I hope you understand me...)

  12. These are amazing. Your new set is going to be just gorgeous. Thanks so much for the inspiration!

  13. More beauty for a feast of the eyes. The filigree border is stunning. I think you should continue your current packaging.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Wow- you have great style. Love your samples and can't wait to see the newest stamp sets!!

Packaging- personally, I agree with the plastic bag they come in. Some of my other stamp sets come in cd cases and to be honest, some of the tiniest stamps have been known to fall out.

I keep my clear stamps all in a drawer and I really think that it is easiest to have them in the bags you currently use. You can easily select a stamp set and look at them in the bag, vs. having to open up the stamp set in the cd case.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Beautiful stamps Claire! I think the stamp quality is more important than the packaging and of course price is always a consideration for me:)

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'm loving this set - the green and red are so rich and you're right about the Joyeau Noel.
I think you should keep the packaging as it is -it often ends up discarded anyway as most people have their own storage system. As Debbie says people who want to use CD cases won't mind buying them but everybody likes good value in their stamps and thats what you're offering.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Claire, this new Christmas release shows how much you like Christmas, especially vintage Christmas and I'm liking it the more I see every day. As for packaging...keep it simple, always. We can buy our CD cases cheaply...keep the postage down for those folks across the pond.

    ReplyDelete
  18. This set looks amazing - Your sets are easy pretty easy to store as is - love that they are so easy to stick to the mounting block (by the way). If I would change anything it would be to insert a stiffer board that can be punched to store in a ring binder!!!
This is what I have done, but thanks for asking.

  19. HI Claire,

Clean and simple, that's how I like my stamps, cards and packaging. It's the content that I prize the most and your stamps are no exception they are so beautiful and elegant.

Hope you are well and I am sure by your amazing success you are so busy :D

    Take care of you :D

  20. Definately NOT in those awful CD cases, please! Simple is best as per your current packaging - and more environmentally friendly too.
Good luck with your new releases.

  21. Your stamps are beautiful, Claire. As of yet I don't own a set but hope to rectify that soon. The exchange rate and postage fees are always a concern for me as the SA rand is so weak against the dollar and pound. So I say go with the cheaper packaging to keep costs down. Loving all your release projects.

  22. Hi - I'm loving these new stamps.

As far as packaging goes, I think you should continue as you are. It keeps the costs down - always a bonus.

I do store my stamps in empty CD boxes, but they are cheap enough to buy and I've always got some ready for storing away my next purchase!!!

    Hope this helps.

  23. What fabulous samples you've included.
I agree with your decision to save a bit since with the exchange rate to the US it can be expensive so a lower cost is appreciated.

  24. Absolutely stunning is what comes to mind when I look at your latest release. I personally like how you package your sets and appreciate the thought that went into them. With money being tight it's important to me that stamps be affordable so any means of keeping the cost down is a big plus. Your method also gives the buyer the choice of s/he stores the sets. Thank you for the opportunity to win a beautiful stamp set.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I think your packaging is fine as is! I do like storing my stamps in CD cases, but wouldn't really want to pay more than a dollar or two more to get that kind of packaging. If your gorgeous sets stay cheap and simply packaged, I can afford more of them!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I love that your stamps come on the carrier sheets, and not in CD cases! I have issues with storing my stamps in the cases. Usually, I accidentally drop the case trying to peel a stamp off, and snap one of the hinge legs. (This has happened too many times!) I am actually trying to figure out a way to get my stamps out of their CD cases and into something sturdier, or more functional for me. Love the idea of slipping the carrier sheets into binder sleeves and indexing them.

    ReplyDelete
  27. These tags are fantastic, I just love this stampset.

I would keep your packaging as it it, that way it gives the customer the choice of how to store it, and keeps costs down. I'd rather spend my money on stamps than packaging.

Thanks for the chance to win

  28. I'm looking forward to placing my first order soon -- I'm really enjoying all of the wonderful goodies you've been creating!

The practical side of me says to stay with the simplest packaging possible, for environmental purposes and keeping shipping costs reasonable (I'm in the US). Then there's the part of me that says, oh yes, indeedy, I do enjoy some nice packaging. So I suppose it's all about the balance.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Your current packaging is just fine and it does keep costs down, which is a big factor for me since I live across the ocean. :) Most clear stamps come without a storage system anyway. If you ever need to dress it up for retail sales, you can just add a simple colored background paper with your company logo. Packaging doesn't really matter to me. What matters is the quality and the image designs, and yours are top notch!

    ReplyDelete
  30. thye are lovely stamps and i cant wait for the full reveal.
i personally think that you should keep packaging and posts costs down to a minimum.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Beautiful tags again! As far as packaging, keep it simple. Because you have an international following, the simpler and lighter the better.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm thinking that if you sold in a 'real' store, eye-catching packaging would be worth the cost, but since it's online, the product sells itself, IMHO! :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Love the newest sets Claire!!

As for the packaging, I like how your stamps are packaged already. I like being able to see all of them all at once on one sheet.

Besides - I'm all about saving money where ever possible!

Maybe you can have different packaging as an option for people that want it?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Claire, these are just beautiful! Every year I think I will make beautiful tags for my gifts...but after all the other handmade items I make...I just don't get to tags...these will help me get them created quickly this year!

As for the CD cases, I would leave the stamps just the way they are, if folks would like to use a CD case, I'm sure they can do that themselves....
Thanks for the chance to win!!!!

  35. You are amazing Claire, these are simply wonderful! That price is VERY competitive for the US for acrylic stamps. To tell you the truth I could give 2 hoots for stamp packaging! Infact I HATE getting stamps in and out of their packages. I prefer easy and quick. Most of mine are stored in $1 Wal-Mart boxes or bins. Keep the shipping costs down...the stamps are really what it's all about. If someone wants prettier packaging...well your readers are a crafty bunch LOL they can come up with something!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I really like cd-boxes, but I just buy them myself. I would be very happy with the labels that you can stick to the cd's, just as PTI does it.

Although, reading the comments, I seem to be the only one, so don't mind me, I will figure out a system for myself lol.

Thank you for the chance to win, I really love your examples!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Wow! Those stamps are gorgeous. I love Christmas and all things retro so I'm in Heaven! Definitely on my list of things I need! As for CD cases, I would rather save on postage and put them in a CD case myself. You could just leave it up to the individual. :O)

    ReplyDelete
  38. Fabulous Claire -- just Fabulous :) As far as packaging goes -- I say leave it as is...I like that you try to keep costs down, and this way, people can use whatever storage system they like best :) Can't wait to see it ALL! :) hee hee. Have a super day!

    ReplyDelete
  39. OMG so beautiful! I think it's better to keep them the way you've been doing them and let the customer purchase a CD case if they wish. They can buy these pretty cheaply usually in a set of 10 or something. Thanks for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  40. GREAT STAMPS! Oh my God, you are not only a super-talented cardmaker, you are also a great DESIGNER. Keep up the good work, I love all these stamps that you are designing.
I don't really need the cds, so a low shipping price and not too much packaging it's ok.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Keep them as you are already packaging them. As long as they arrive undamage happy with however they.

I have been loving your sneak peaks. Living in Australia I find your blog is updated in the morning for me. So the first thing I do in the morning is check your blog (yeah i know that is kinda sad:-)). Can't wait to see this Christmas set in the full.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Loving these stamp sets so far! I think the packaging is just fine as is. I'd rather get more stamp sets for my buck than fancy packaging. Can't wait for the release :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Beautiful Claire! I can't wait to get my hands on this set. I'm happy with the way the stamps are sent. I pop them into my own cd cases anyway. And any savings I can have on shipping are good! :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Plain and cheap presentation suits me fine as I have quite a big collection of clear stamps and I put them into binders anyway so wouldn't keep the packaging. You have a great collection of stamps and I look foward to buying some. :D

    ReplyDelete
  45. Loving your tags Claire! And the snowflake card is simply stunning!
I bought a set of clear stamps in a clear pocket with holes to put it in a folder and I think these are the easiest to store. I must say that I find CD cases take up little room and make it easy to retrieve the set you're looking for but a bit fiddly to use (maybe I'm a lazy tidy upper!). Good luck with the rest of the release. Angela :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Great samples Claire. Interested in your packaging results, but I opt for the simpler packaging for a couple of reasons - Lower prices and less packaging. To be honest, I don't like having to collect all the packaging because you know you can't just throw it away.

    ReplyDelete
  47. i've just alerted some of my friends to your blog-as i think your stuff is wonderful.i think the sheets are fine-you can either stick them in a binder-or use a cd case..

    ReplyDelete
  48. Absolutely STUNNING, Claire, but no surprise!!! LOVE everything so far! I'm sending a couple friends to look @ your sets!!!
I'm having struggles with the economy (like most) and agree you should stick with what you're doing now -- much more important to have quality stamps & do your own storage & keep costs down! ;-) Would LOVE to win a set -- TFS!!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. These new stamps are fantastic and your samples, as always, are stunning!

Your current packaging is just fine. I find I usually throw away the packaging and store my stamps in my binders so why add more to the local landfill?

    ReplyDelete
  50. These stamps are so classic!
I like the low cost of the shipping. I vote to keep it the same.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I have been loving your samples! Just beautiful - all of them! I'm super excited to see the full set and the build your own snowflake!

I think keeping the shipping and cost of sets down by continuing as you are is the best idea. I say that selfishly though as I live in the US and want to keep the cost down. Thanks for the chance!! :o)

    ReplyDelete
  52. Claire- I am in love with your Christmas Vintage set! I can see just soo many uses for this and I know all my designs will be loved! As for your question, I am one who prefers to go the cheapest route with shipping. As much as I love PTI stamps, the excess packaging in, well, in excess. I have oodles for cd cases, and the extra box makes for extra shipping cost not to mention the enviromental part. Simple is usually best & is always cheapest with postal rates.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Beautiful cards, Claire! I love the stamped backgrounds and all the tags!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Loving these samples today. The round one reminds of a coaster and would be lovely to laminate for Christmas, loving the creams but my fav is the blue one. The packaging you are using sounds very eco friendly and I would be more than happy with stamps arriving like that.
    Pinky

    ReplyDelete
  55. You make me wish it was already Christmas (typing this in bikini :D)!
    Very simple&sleek yet vintage...wonderful!

Since I am fond of beautiful things (whether it be stamps, shoes, decoration,...) I assume my eyes would be drawn to fancy packaging when shopping in a store. But since you go out of your way to demonstrate the stamps, we get to know the content behind the packaging.
Also, I get so excited when I know they are on their way to my craft table that I really don’t care about it anymore.
So keep it simpel...I’d rather have you put your time and effort in to producing these beauties then worry about packaging ;).
Congrats on the new sets, dying to see/order them and good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Beautiful set and samples!! I love it!!
The package is not matter to me either. It saves the shipping cost, too!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Beautiful creations Claire!
As for the packaging- the most cost effective means is the way to go. I tend to change the way I store things as my collection grows. Keeping with what you currently do is great! If you offered some packaging options seperately it would mist likely fill the needs of those that want different packaging.
    Thanks for asking our opinion!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Loving those tags. As for packaging it's so difficult to please everyone, so no advice from me!!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Beautiful creations as always Claire! I adore the cream/fawn colors together so that tag is my favorite but everything else is lovely and I know I need this set. As far as packaging, I say keep it the same. After reading other comments, I think I'm going to put mine into binders. I'll have a Waltzingmouse book! (Takes very little to make me happy. LOL)

    ReplyDelete
  60. I like the packaging as is!! I live in the states, and I do not want to spend any more on shipping than necessary. And I see myself buying a lot of your sets, so I need to keep my "overhead" down!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. I like the packaging as is. I like the reasonable price of your stamps, and the shipping costs. I take the stamps out and put them in something else anyway, so I don't want to pay for extra packaging or storage solutions.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Wow, what gorgeousness! I wouldn't add cd cases. I think keeping the cost low is far more important and then everyone can sort the storage that suits.

    ReplyDelete
  63. What a beautiful set, Claire! So versatile. You're so talented! I vote to stay with the simpler packaging and keep costs to a minimum--helps on purchase price and also helps keep shipping lower, so it's a double savings.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I'm agreeing with most people here - the packaging is fine as it is and we've all got our own favourite way of keeping tabs on our stash - organising it all is part of the fun isn't it? Really looking forward to the reveal Claire.

    ReplyDelete
  65. The packaging really does not matter to me. I re-organize my sets after getting them, so I would prefer to have the lowest shipping cost. I know that some companies sell the extra packaging separatly so that if u so choose you can purchse them.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Such beautiful samples, Claire! Looks like another fabulous release. I personally don't like CD cases. They crack easily in the mail, increase shipping costs, and are really much less expensive for both parties if the customer provides their own if they choose to store them that way.

I really do enjoy a colored logo insert, though, which is the typical packaging for most clear stamps (at least in the US). I kept my design generic and buy in bulk for each size that I carry to reduce cost. Then I print labels from my own printer and stick them on each insert, so the name of the stamp set is on each product. Plus the inserts don't add much weight to orders, so shipping rates aren't impacted.

As a customer, I find the inserts help me to easily locate and identify a certain company's stamps in my ever growing pile of stamps. :)

    ReplyDelete
  67. Claire, your Very Vintage Christmas definitely has me glued to your project posts! I love that its vintage and modern at the same time. As for your question....as much as I like to receive "pretty", I am all for keeping costs down as much as possible right now. In fact, so much so, that cost is usually what dictates whether or not I can get new images right now. And I'm sure I'm not alone in that with our oh so wonderful economy right now (U.S. here). Empty cd cases are easy enough to find online or in office supply stores. And while I store a lot of my stamps in cd cases, I know not everyone does. I think your stamps definitely speak for themselves and when you put them in your projects, they SING! :>

    ReplyDelete
  68. I say keep it as is. lower cost, lower shipping and less packaging is always best.
    Thanks

  69. LOVE what you are doing with this set!!! Gorgeous! Can't wait to spend some money this weekend ;)

I like your packaging as is, no need for fancy, I throw all my clear sets in a basket in their plastic sleeve/bag and yours are perfect in there

    ReplyDelete
  70. I believe that packaging should be as minimal as possible. Everybody has their own storage style and they will 'repackage' to suit their style and the original packaging ends up in a landfill! Love your cards and tags...these images are beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Love your stamps and the tags look perfect with the larger sizes and vintage feel! Packaging is not a big issue with me either. I think most everyone agrees that saving cost is far more important and CD cases are readily available for purchase.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I'm all for the cheap, lightweight route - as it means I can buy more stamps! I have my own storage system, anyway. Thanks for the chance to win one of your new sets!!

    ReplyDelete
  73. I'd say don't do the packagin, Claire- it might just geet thrown away by the people who don't want to store that way...ask me how I know! I store all my vclear stamps the same way, so if I buy something with fancy packagin/cds/closed envelopes... I toss them!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Another fantastic sneak peek!

As far as stamp packaging goes, I certainly appreciate the considerations to make things easy to ship and keep costs lower. That way, every crafter can decide how they prefer to store the stamps!

    ReplyDelete
  75. This feels like Christmas already, i can't wait till it's weekend and we will be able to order this sets!!!

I think you will be very busy the next weeks!!!

Please send out the stamps the way you think is best.

    Thanks for your sampels,

    Hugs Yvon.

  76. Hi Claire! WOW, I'm so excited for these next sets. I personally think the packaging is fine and I'd rather have a lower price (so I can buy more!).

I can't wait to see the rest of the samples for this week.

  77. Oh Claire, your stamps are fabulous! I feel my purse getting lighter with every picture you upload lol. I think your packaging is fine the way it is, it works well for me anyway and for anyone that wants to store their stamps in cases they probably have one's they prefer anyway.Donna x

  78. Claire, just wanted to say congrats on your new venture. Your designs are wonderful and classic.

As far as packaging, I'd agree to keep costs down and provide just the stamp set. Anyone interested in putting them in CD cases or other storage can and that way there is less bulk for mailing.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I'm waiting for your new stamps to be released to order, but I agree with the others...keep the shipping costs low. We can then choose how we want to store our stamps. Love your stamps and your blog, can't wait to place my order.

    ReplyDelete
  80. You never cease to blow me away with your creations Claire!! Your tags and cards are just STUNNING!!!

As to packaging...keep going as you are. Everyone has their own preference for storing.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I have been enjoying the "Sneak Peeks" this week. I absolutely LOVE the Holly in the Christmas Tag and that Witch is so cool. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.

As for packaging I'm all for anything that helps to save on the cost of great stamps. You can always buy your own CD cases.

Can't wait to see the sets in full and hear who you pick for the DT (I did apply so I'm anxious to hear what you decide. It has to be a monumental decision)

    ReplyDelete
  82. Hi Claire. I'm really impressed with what I've seen so far of your new release. I love the fact that your stamps are unique--and not just the same as all the rest, with a little change. I think they are great.

As for packaging, I like how they are now. I'd prefer the same packaging as I store my stamps in a different way anyway, so I don't use the packaging, and the price means I can buy more!

    Keep up the good work.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Your stamps are lovely and while i haven't seen the packaging, I can tell you that I never use CD cases to store my unmounted stamps in. It took me several tries to find an unmounted storage system that worked for me and I would much prefer not to pay for packaging I won't use!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Oh claire, I'm so excited about these sets! I think the way you described the packing is perfectly fine. i'm more interested in the stamps, not the packing! Good luck, your things are awesome! hugs, michelle

    ReplyDelete
  85. Oh so beautiful!

    I am all about price!
Package as you will, it's whats in it that counts!

  86. Beautiful projects Claire, the Christmas set looks fab! I love all the backgrounds you have created using the individual stamps. I don't have a problem with receiving stamps in the packaging you use already, if you want to put them in CD cases they are probably cheaper to buy yourself and do this, although an extra couple of pounds would not put me off buying them, most stamp set now retail at around £15 anyway.

    Hope this helps

  87. I think the way you package now is fine - everyone has their own storage method. Personally mine doesn't include CD cases, so it would be a complete waste.
Love love love the new vintage style images - they'll be a real hit!

  88. Gorgeous creations Claire. I think the packaging of your stamp sets are just perfect, I use them from the printed sheet and replace when done and they don't need much storage space!

  89. For me cost is a major factor. No matter how much I love a set if it's over my budget then I just can't buy it.

Everyone has their own stamp storage arrangements and as Debbie said it's not hard to buy your own CD case, if that's the way you go.

  90. I prefer to keep the cost low, and then put the stamps in my own CD case. Great question!

  91. Gorgeous tag set, Claire! I love the old fashioned look of it.

I'd say lower cost and shipping trumps fancier packaging.

  92. Oh Claire...I haven't been able to visit in a while and stopping in to see you is pure joy!! It's a blessing to see that you are enjoying the fruits of your labor - these sets are so fresh and they come from your heart! Good for you!!

  94. Hello Claire, and thanks for a beautiful bit of christmas.
I think that pretty packaging is a must if you have an inferior product, but since your stamps are so wonderful....nothing needed !!
I would pay extra if that's what it came down to, but i think the sets are great as they are, can't wait for some more christmas goodies !!

  95. I haven't bought any of your stamp sets...YET, (believe me I am going to) I would say the way you have described how you are packaging them now makes a lot of sense. I vote for no change.

  96. Claire, these really have a classic Christmas feel to them, very pretty. I would rather buy my own CD cases (or whatever storage people like) and not pay as much for shipping. I've had problems with the CD case arriving cracked and broken, so it's easier to just ship the stamp! Love your blog!

  97. This set is gorgeous. I love the tags/cards you made with it.

  98. These are all beautiful examples! I can't wait to see what you come up with every day! As for packaging, I'd prefer to keep costs down, and I can always get my own CD case quite inexpensively.

  99. Nope dont raise the price for packaging! LOVE your stuff Claire! really lovin the superduper long posts!

  100. Woohoo, love the samples of the new sets.
I like your packaging and keeping shipping costs cheap for overseas postage to me is a plus in my books. I find nothing wrong with your packaging as it is.

  101. Absolutely fantastic Claire - OMG I am going to have to order - these are fabulous!!! I don't care about packaging at all - prefer lower cost - I have different ways I store my stamps and I can surely buy CD cases if I need them. Rock On girl - these are wonderful

  102. This stamp set is wonderful. I can't wait to see everything else you have in store.

  103. Absolutely yummy set!!!
Don't pack them more sophisticated and add more costs - so everybody has a chance to pack it then in his/her very own systhem... I for eg do not use those cases and would just throw them in the garbage - what a waste!!

  104. I agree with the majority, less packaging, less cost. While pretty packaging is nice, it's only really effective for the first order, then the novelty has worn off! It's important for us all to cut down on rubbish and waste - better we all recycle an old cd case (or other form of storage) and not throw loads of packaging away. Absolutely loving your stamp sets, and can't wait for them to go on sale in a few days. Would also love to win one - many thanks for the chance.

  105. I have to say that if that something works then why change it? Im not a huge lover of these cd packages. Cannot wait to put my mitts on the vintage xmas range.

  106. Christmas is my favorite time of year and I've been trying to cut back on purchasing every single Christmas set I see... but this set is amazing!

I actually prefer to put them in cd cases on my own so all my labels match. :)

  107. I love your Halloween set, the font is perfect and your witch is brilliant! I will finally have to break down and make a purchase and I will be happy to receive them in a cello bag. All sorts of goodies come in cello bags, why not your yummy stamps!
Save the hassle and expense and let people purchase their own cd cases if that is their storage of choice.

  108. This set looks FANTASTIC!! I cannot wait to order it! You have such an eye for design!

As for packaging...I do store my stamps in CD cases...but I buy my own. As a customer, I appreciate the lower shipping costs. If you'd like to add some pretty packaging...an insert with your logo on it could easily be added to the packaging you already have and shouldn't add to much to the shipping costs.

I am counting down the days until Sunday...

  109. I don't think packaging matters as much as quality. Keep up the great work.

  110. I don't need any fancy packaging for such cute stamps!

  111. Your stamp designs are awesome! I can't wait to see what your new ones look like!! I'm loving the sneek peeks!!

I personally think the way you're doing it (without ever having seen it) sounds great because I can then store them in the same envelopes I have for my other clear CTMH stamps.

  112. I prefer the way the stamps are currently packaged. These holiday tags are incredible. I can't wait to see all of these new releases.

    ReplyDelete
  113. The stamps look lovely Claire, I can't wait to see the full sets. You are very talented!
I think the cheaper the sets are, the more we can buy so I'd go with the less costly packaging.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I'm all for cheapness. I've plenty of stamps that just come on a sheet, and thats how they have stayed. No problems.

Christmas set looks fab. Love the font.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Can not wait to see the new set's.I think you should leave the set's as they are and let people sort out storage themselves

    ReplyDelete
  116. Claire!!! LOVE your releases so far!!! Can't wait to see the actual stamp sets! Especially the Halloween ones! I'm so excited for you! As far as packaging, I say "who really cares"? As long as the stamps are high quality, you could put them in Pringles cans and send them for all I care. I dont' stamp with the packaging, I stamp with the stamps! Best, of luck to you! Curt

  117. This set looks amazing Claire!! I LOVE all your samples - so beautiful!! I haven't seen your packaging but I think most people have a system so the way you send them sounds fine since people can then just pop them into their own system! Easy for everyone! :)

    ReplyDelete
  118. No, the packaging you have right now is just perfect. I have my own system for storing my sets and the CD cases would be a "waste".

    ReplyDelete
  119. Beautiful samples today - you are getting my Christmas buzz going pretty good already! I think the cheaper the better. The CD cases are easy to come by these days, and the plastic/bag combination that it comes in can easily be kept safe and clean. Thanks for the chance to win!

  120. I would continue on as you are - there are so many different ways of storing clear stamps and everyone then gets to choose their fave way - be it CD boxes, folder or whatever. Also - keeping the costs down in these credit crunch times is a good way of maximsing your sales.

Absolutely LOVE the stamps, all of them.

  121. Claire, the Christmas stamps are amazing! Can't wait to order some. I think the current packaging is fine - I put my clear stamps in CD cases and like them all to be the same. Save us a penny or 2 and keep things as they are!:) Thanks for all your wonderful cards and ideas!

    ReplyDelete
  122. I think that packing should be minimal....make the product "safe" when shipping or when in a store....but minimal and eco-friendly. If I can reuse what it is packaged in....even better. GREAT stuff:)

  123. I love your projects, thanks for sharing. As for the packaging stuff, I don't care what the package looks like since I put all my stamps into empty CD cases once I get them.
