You probably know this but PapertreyInk are celebrating their second birthday with lots of prizes, today's challenge was a dot to dot sketch card, check it out
here.
I just got through making this card and I had a lot of fun. Which was what I needed.
This morning DH announced that he was taking us all for a spin! I hadn't the heart to tell him I would rather have stayed home and made a card for the challenge!!! Having said that we had a lovely day. Small folks were all late to bed this eve and I've only just had time to play.
If I was making it again I don't think I'd bother embossing the vellum panel - it looks way overdone now that I look at it, but hey - if you're not in you can't win!!
Summer sunrise and raspberry fizz cardstocks with PTI Black/white paper and specially purchased pink thread to match!! OOOooHH yum, slight addiction forming.
Have fun.
Very pretty card Claire! I love the stitching around the sentiment. I'm glad you had a good day with your family!
ReplyDeleteWow! Stunning claire
ReplyDeleteWow! This is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThis is really cute, love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a striking card!! If that is real stitching on the sentiment block...I am utterly amazed. Even if it isn't...I am still amazed at how fabulous it looks! Great job with Nicole's sketch!

Very nice card! It makes me want to try out all of the settings on my sewing machine. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous cards - love all those colors together!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the stitching! You are amazing.
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely card! Its always such a treat to come visit here...I'm so glad I found your blog not too long ago! :>
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteLoving the colors Claire.
ReplyDeleteI love the stitching on your card. I am a quilter and I would like to be able to combine my two hobbies of papercraft and fabrics and stitching. We visited Ireland for the first time in September and it was so green, wish we could have brought some of your rain back to Texas. :) I really enjoy your site.
ReplyDeleteOh Claire, this is lovely. It makes me wish my sewing machine had such fancy stitching on it...but it does not. I wonder how long it would take one to hand stitch this kind of thing.... probably far more time than I have. Guess I'll have to sit and enjoy yours!!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors on this Claire! and the white dotted lines on the bg! I know exactly what you mean about rather staying home than doing anything that isn't stamping! I think we need some counseling - huh???!!!! LOL!!!
