To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop. Ready for some inspiration? Here are a few of the projects I have created for today’s hop - I'm going to keep the waffle to a minimum, but all inks, cardstocks and stamps are from Gina K Designs, just pop a comment on here if you need to know the details.
I made a set of 3 cards with Melanie's new set - Pressed Flowers 2 to create backgrounds with stamping and sponging - I used the tiny versions of the flowers from Fabulous flowers to create the focal points on the white panel. The sentiments are in a lovely calligraphic font, also from the new set Pressed Flowers 2.
Here they are separately:
My next card also uses Melanie's set, this time I stamped the large flower in Sweet Mango and used a brown colouring pencil to add some shadows. The background panel was stamped in Sweet Corn, and some Honey Mustard Ink and cardstocks were used for the darker tan tones on the die cut leaves and border. The matching dies are such a boon to this set!
My next samples are made with Theresa's set Framescape - Tropical Skies
I used the main frame for this card and stamped in in black. I did all my sponging before stamping the setting sun in versamark and adding some white embossing powder. Then I took a white gel pen and added some highlights to my silhouetted images.
Been on a bit of a sponging bent and so created this background with some yummy shades - Wild Dandelion, Passionate Pink and Sweet Mango. Dropped some water splats because that's what all the cool kids are doing these days and I like how it looks. I cut a rectangle from the centre of the panel and then stamped my palm trees and setiment on it. Added a black mat and stuck it back in position. Fast card, but nice impact.
Super simple one, a simple strip of Wild Dandelion cardstock sponged around the edges with sweet mango - then stamped with a small island image and some birdies and a simple sentiment.
The black cardstock base was run through the embosser with one of the newest Gina K products - a stencil called Water droplets - it embossed quite well even though that's not really what it is intended for. Try it!
