...The Biggie...February Release competition post!

ED - this competition is now closed, cheers for entering! winners will be posted in an hour!

Ladies a quick post to invite you to enter the biggie!!

This is it girls, the competition to win the entire February release - NINE stamp sets, plus....

Yep, we should have a few more products launching on Wednesday also - it's a race against time to get them uploaded to the store, but there should be some extra goodies this month, so lets have your entries on this post.

What I want you to do is this: Simply name your favourite WMS stamp set that has already been released so far - do not include the stamp sets we are previewing right now! Pick something that has already been released and that is in the store already, and tell me why you like it, easy!

You have until Wednesday just before the release at 7:00pm my time, so spread the word ladies, tell all your friends to come and comment, because as well as the biggie, there will be an extra spot prize of one new release set per every 50 folks who play along!! The way it will work is this, I will pick one commenter from the first 50 commenters to win a spot prize, I will pick one commenter from the next 50 commenters to win a spot prize and so on, so if we get 200 comments there will be 4 spots, you follow?

Just remember to leave one comment per person please, I will have to delete duplicates before I make the draw!!

The biggie winner will be drawn at random from the total number of commenters last thing before the release opens!!

Good luck!!

  2. My favorite WM stamp set is Sewing Box Hugs. I love the sweet bird, and the sentiment, A little birdie told me... Love that one and wish there was an additions set with sentiments to go with that phrase! This is going to be a fabulous release, a very lucky winner too!

  3. That is a hard choice! I think roses in bloom!

  4. This is easy for me! My favorite is Back in the Saddle. It's perfect for cowboys and cowgirls alike and makes me happy every time I see it! I love all the stamps and feel motivated to go make something with it right now! :D

  5. My favorite set is Nordic Winter (I don't even own it yet, but I am saving up!) - there is just something so warm & inviting about the patterns, they remind me of the sweaters we used to wear in the wintertime back home in New England, just a lot of happy memories. And holiday cards are one of my favorite kinds to create as well. I like that it coordinates with other sets too! Thanks for the chance to win Claire! Can't wait to see the new ones coming out too! :)

If I must, I'd pick A Cottage Home and A Cottage Home Christmas -- LOVE them both!!! 9. I so totally fell for the Nordic set and have made dozens of cards with it (see wmmakers.blogspot.com) and just cannot get enough of it. Working on ways to make it useful all year long. My second favorite set is the Sewing Sets because I love the homespun look.

  10. I like the first remedies one. And the one with the large sentiments, Say it Loud. There's a music one I've got on my wish list too.

  11. OMGoodness this is AWESOME!! I love Waltzing Mouse stamps!! Can't wait to the newest sets.

  12. It's a toss up for me - it's either Irish Blessings or Celtic Heritage. My DH's family is proud of their Irish heritage so these are just perfect for sending to his family.

  13. My favorite WMS set is Say it Loud. The sentiments are just perfect - just the right size and variety.

I'm loving the previews and can't wait until they are released!

  14. First, I logged in so I can't mess up again! Second, it is beyond absurd for me to try to choose a favorite ~ there are far too many!!

But. . .I'll say Nutcracker Sweet. Because I will always make Christmas cards, and this is such a beauty - it can be as detailed with coloring as I want, or works well with a simply stamped image.

Really any answer would be a half-truth, Claire, because they are all lovely. And I think I'll be adding a few more 'favorites' to my list in another few days :) .

  15. Candy Jar Christmas!! LOVE that set!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Oh I have lots of Waltzing Mouse loves, but I do believe Asian Gardens & Additions (that's one set, right?? :) have to be my favorite. They were actually my first purchase too!

    ReplyDelete
  17. It's a very tough choice but I would have to say Sewing Box Hugs, because of all the wonderful paper piecing possibilities! Would love to see more similar sets (already have Sewing Box Christmas). Thanks so much for the chance to win this fabulous prize!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hard to choose, but I absolutely love my Nordic Winter set. Its so different from anything else on the market. And as well as papercrafting I knit and crochet and its perfect for cards and packaging my gifts - definitely not just for Christmas.

  19. Oh Clare this is so difficult. I love your stamps so much. But if I have to choose it is the Holiday Labels #14 the starburst is wonderful.

    ReplyDelete
  20. My favorite set is Very Vintage labels #18. I love the largest label because of the bold color I can get with it. That stamp makes a statement! Thanks for the opportunity to win Claire!

  21. Claire, After seeing your designs used so often on the Splitcoaststampers site, I fell in love instantly and I believe it was Joanne [Angelnorth] that gave me the link to your site. I've been "oohing" and "ahhhing" over so many of your sets. My Wish List changes each time I come to visit. I haven't yet purchased a set as I learned that new sets were soon to be revealed. While I am crazy mad about the sets you have that fit the Nestabilities Labels, I love the "Say It Loud" set. That was the first set to catch my eye. I love the bold font of the greetings and the fact that you can use the smaller font words to change what you want to express. Can't wait to see the new offerings! Thanks so much! Beverly

(I think Free Spirit is my second favorite, I just love those linked circles).

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  60. It's Fancy Phrases for me as they cover just about every sentiment you'll ever need. They're also nestie compatible!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hands down that would have to be Rescue Remedies! Are there any other WMS sets? ;-)

    ReplyDelete

  63. Just one?! Okay...

Big Blooms: Poinsettia... I did my cards for this week's upcoming "Festive Friday" with it, and it reminded me while creating (3) cards why I love it - it's *SO* versatile. You saw from my Hop card how easy it is to create every day patterns with it! I also just looooove to colour those blooms.

You're so generous Claire - I am so excited about this release! :D

    ReplyDelete
  64. Well that is quite a tall order! How can you pick just one? I suppose if I had to my favorite would be Rescue Remedies. I have seen it used so many times and it is nestie friendly; both of these qualities are definitely a bonus!

  65. Favorite set?
You do realize that's like asking me to pick a favorite child...
    right?
    And well...
that's totally going to depend on what my children are currently doing as to who's my favorite...
    *giggle*
Actually it means I can't do it...
    I just can't pick a favorite.
But I CAN say that I believe EVERYONE should have Say It With Style in their stamping arsenal...
    it's my go-to sentiment set! :)

    ReplyDelete

It is jam packed with images and sentiments and worth it's price…and then some! Plus I just adore the font. I wish I could have more sets using that font, it is unlike anything else I have. Thank you, thank you Claire for designing this!

  75. Oh Claire......you are really making me work here~!! I am a holiday person... So many Halloween and Christmas stamp sets I absolutely LOVE.. both owned and on my wishlist! I also like the ones that are compatible with the nestabilities... But I would have to say that my CURRENT favorite is the Spring Baskets.... and the reason behind that is 2 fold.... One... I have not been able to use it yet and am so excited to start making Easter cards. But secondly, My daughter's birthday is on Easter this year and I get to use these stamps in creating a fabulous Easter/birthday card for her... and to use them in decorating the Easter table... still am working on those ideas... some form of a place card...I like to do 3-D items... so still thinking...

Good luck to all the well-deserving commenters... Claire, thank you so much for awarding such fabulous prizes! And for creating such amazing stamps!

    ReplyDelete
  76. I have always loved you Irish Blessings stamp set. I am half Irish and have always loved Irish Proverbs. Living in the US I don't see too many Irish stamps sets.
    Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  78. I love Say It Loud, it keeps getting use in my craft room (maybe if I bothered to put it away I wouldn't use it on so many projects, but that'd be a pain right?). Fabulous set.

    ReplyDelete
  79. claire - what a task! i want to know what YOUR favorite is... ;) i just have to go back to basics on this one and say "Fancy Phrases." It's a solid for any person's repertoire and it's my all time fav set to recommend to any stamper (new or old). The size is perfect (not too small) and the words and fonts are special.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Love the Dainty Doilies stamp set.. they are so pretty and I can think of a gazillion uses for them!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Goodness, my favourite, that is a really big ask. I think, if pushed it would have to be Nordic Winter. It can be dressed up or down and it reminds me of a jumper I had as a child, which, needless to say, I loved.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I love what I see so far in the sneak peaks! Gosh I think my favorite stamp set is the Holiday Labels 14. Hard to chose because I love everything but this one is just very elegant.

    ReplyDelete
  86. My favorite set is:

    "Back in the saddle"

This set was the first I ever bought from Waltzingmouse, and also the reason for finding WMS! I had been looking for a "cowboy/cowgirl" set for so long - being a westernrider and all (in Sweden!) Add the fact that it was my riding instructor that got me to start crafting to begin with! I loved the set, my riding instructor loved the set - and we got one each and of course "Way out West"... and a long lists of other set...
(Google is a good thing! LOL!)

"Back in the saddle" will always have a special place in my heart, and I am using it as often as I can!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Say It Loud.........with so many basic sentiments in the large font and so many supporting sentiments in the smaller font, there are a plethora of sentiment combinations. ;-}

    ReplyDelete
  88. Ohhhh the choices, the choices ... how do you pick one! Well Ok I have to say the set I really love and have used more than any other (so far) is "Around Christmastime". The stamps are so apt and there is a great selection from this set to choose from. Many of my Christmas Cards got rave reviews and I used these stamps for many of them.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Hello Claire
All your stamp sets are wonderful, it's difficult to choose, but I think my most favourite - hard decision- is "seasons of love - tags"!!! I think your new sets are fantastic. I hope I'll buy some and I hope I "ll win. Thanks for the chance!!!

  109. Hi Claire!
Choosing one set is easier to me than making a top three, hi hi, 'cause my all-time favorite is Teeny Trees for sure, but there are quite a few runners-up! Love everything about the Teeny Trees set, the font of the sentiments, the trees, the little birds, but also how you can use the shapes of the trees for totally different things. So pretty!!!

  114. My favourite WMS stamp set is "Nordic Winter". I just love the different patterns that look as if they are really knitted. And above all I like so much about this set that you can combine the patterns in so many different ways. And I think, no matter in which colour you stamp them, they always look great together.
One more reason why I very much love this set is the fact that the patterns remind of of the warm knitted pullovers that I wore when I was a child.

Thanks, Claire, for the chance to win!

    Hugs

  115. This is a hard choice, so I'd say Asian Garden because I love cherry trees and blossoms, when they are in bloom is my favourtite time of the year, that makes me joyful! and Dainty Doilies because although I am not a doily kind of person, I seem to have to use it again and again in so many ways. I'd have to mention the labels as well they are everywhere on my cards and my enormous crush on Father Christmas from Around Christmas Time;).

    ReplyDelete
  116. How on earth can I pick just one favourite?! I could choose any of the Nestie labels. They're so versatile. Pure genius! But I couldn't decide on just one from them, so I'll go for Rescue Remedies. It reminds me of an old apothecary's shop, and I love the vintage looks I can get with it.

Fantastic giveaway, Claire. Thanks for the chance to win.

  117. ooh, definitely 'Candy Jar Christmas' has been my favourite so far - the fact the cookies were stamped too just made me giddy with crafty anticipation!!
    Great site by the way!

  118. Oh my! What an utterly AMAZING prize...there are going to be some VERY lucky ladies out there in blogland! Choosing just ONE stamp set from your collection is SO difficult as yours are some of THE most BEAUTIFUL designs out there! I guess I'd have to say Afternoon Tea Sentiments because I am a HUGE tea fanatic and LOVE the Afternoon Tea stamp set but, the sentiments on Afternoon Tea Sentiments are BEYOND FABULOUS...just ADORE them! Other than that, I LOVE all of the Spellbinders compatible sets..especially the Labels! Eeek! My WMS Wish List is OUT OF CONTROL!!!! CAN'T WAIT for this new release to go on the shelves!

  119. Oooh, it is so hard to choose just one. I think my favourite would have to be Rescue Remedies. Love it! What a fabulous competition too.

  120. Ermm, can I pick a fave image set and a fave sentiment set? lol! I love Festive Foliage as it's classy and versatile - you can just as easily do clean and simple with it as pile it on embellished. Say It Loud is my current fave sentiment set (of any manufacturer, not just WMS) - the font mix is gorgeous and so many ways to combine the elements! If you force me into a corner and make me choose between them, I guess I'd have to go with Say It Loud!

    ReplyDelete
  121. This is so hard as I love them all.
But I think my current favourite must be Say it loud. Which I won recently. If it was Christmas I would have to say 2011 Holidy Ornaments,

Can't wait for the new releases.

  122. Choosing one favourite for me is easy. Nordic Winter of course, it combines my two fave things, stamping and knitting!

    ReplyDelete
  123. OK, my favourite WMS stamp set so far? That´s not easy but I have to choose Off Beat and in this set the adorable stitched lines. I use this stamp so often and it always gives the little extra to a card that is needed. I emboss it, stamp it in VersaMark or color, no limits.

Thank you for the chance to win!

    Hugs, Tina

  124. Its a tough one! But I think I'll go for Big Blooms Chrysanthemums as I love the options of colouring in or using ink to colour the flowers which always look bold and dramatic

  125. Hi Claire, Well I would have to say Pic Nic Patterns as this is always the set i reach for closely followed by Cameo to Go....i love the versatility of your stamps as they can be used for so many many different effects and occasions and all work so well together. Loves me Mouses i do :O)

As always thank you for your generosity

  127. Oh my goodness Claire, you do know it's IMPOSSIBLE to pick just ONE favourite don't you!!!! All my Waltzingmouse stamps are my favourites - you've got the top drawer in my stamp storage tower for the easiest access...... I probably use Frame it and Say it Loud the most as I just love your sentiment stamps but I think if I were pushed to choose my overall favourite, with my arm twisted so high it hurts, then it would "just" be Back in the Saddle because it's just perfect for guys and guy hards are the hardest to find interesting images for. I love the quirkyness of it and even though there isn't a cowboy within about a 1000 miles of Sheffield it always goes down well with the recipients.
Thanks for the chance to win the new release you do the best prizes. I am TOTALLY intrigued as to what the other new items are - I hate the run up to release its worse than when waiting for Christmas as a child ;-)

  128. Wow! Tough choice! I wish I had ALL of them because they're all timeless and stamp beautifully every time. I guess I would pick the Frame-it set because I use it all the time. It's awesome too when you need a quick card. The frames just make any image special and a really cool effect is to mask the outside of the frame and overstamp. Simple but amazing results!

My favourite set has to be Nordic Winter, both because it reminds me so much of the warm winter woolly jumpers I wore as a child growing up in Germany and because it combines with the other hobbies I love, cross-stitch, knitting and crocheting.
