I don't know if I made your time cut off, but I'm already a forum member, and I love that stamping just lets my brain work in a different way, I find it all very calming.!
Congratulations Erin, pop me an email!
Since you're already on the forum, you have won at least two stamp sets of your choice, if I can find any posts you made on the forum before yesterday, you will win a third!!!

... June SOAP Day 4 Rewind to Free Spirit Boy

Good morning! I hope you have been enjoying our SOAP event where we provide fresh inspiration for the sets we recently released! Today we are rewinding even further back and taking another peep at an older set - Free Spirit Boy - I will be back with my sample a little later, it has been a most challenging week, due to circumstances outside of WMS and so I am not quite ready on time, but I'll be back later on with my project and the winner of my little comp! If you haven't entered there's just time - I 'll close it around lunchtime (my time) see here.

I was very pleased with myself when I designed this set for the April 2010 release - I hadn't seen anything like it at the time and I suppose I thought I was bringing something fresh to the awkward 'teen' to twenty masculine age group. I was especially pleased with the tribal tattoo images, i felt they were quite edgy and I'm delighted to say that just over a year on, they still are!

Masculine cards can be one of the most daunting subjects for cardmakers and so this morning it will be fascinating to see what the DT gals have done with Free Spirit Boy:

CASE Comp

Now it’s time for you to get your craftiness on as we invite you to participate in a CASE (Copy and Share Everything) competition.

Find a card or project from any of the projects posted over the past few days by the WMS Design Team, CASE that project using Waltzingmouse Stamp images, and link it using the Inlinkz here on this blog post. At the end of the competition, one project will be randomly selected to be highlighted with a Parade of its own on several of the Design Team blogs.

We hope you will enjoy this competition and that it will inspire your creativity. You have one week to complete and link your project as the competition will close on June 10th at 8:00 AM my time, which is 3 AM Eastern, 2 AM Central and Midnight, Pacific time. The winner will be announced on My blog on June 11th.

...June SOAP Day 3

 Morning!!!
How was your Thursday? Did you leave me a comment on yesterday's post - if you didn't you're missing out on a chance of free goodies!

We have more fabby samples to show you today, in case you are new here, we are reviewing the new May releases! Just before I get to the DT ladies, here's a little info on the card.

Yesterday I was asked about heat embossing on vellum - so I did it again for today - it's super easy, the only thing to remember is to keep the heat tool moving, but to be honest I have not found vellm any easier to burn than card - the stuff I use is PTI Vellum so it's top quality stuff, a thinner vellum might throw up a problem, but so far I've had no trouble.

I made a little wrap for a bunch of flowers - I stamped a half doily image from the smaller Doily set and heat embossed with clear powder - trimmed it out with a Spellbinders scallop circle (LG) die template and taped the edges together, with a decent overlap to get the size of wrap I wanted to suit the wee bunch of pre-made flowers that one of my DT ladies sent me - with the instructions to 'use more flowers'...lol!!

The rest of the card is easy - gingham background in a ginger colour to pick up the little ribbon bow - a little sponging, and a pale half doily image on the cream card immediately under the bunch of flowers.

The sentiment, made up from Say it Loud was just perfect. Easy. Peasy. Lemon. Squeezy. - you could do this in 10 mins flat.

Now let's see what else we can do today :

... June SOAP, Day 2

ED - A quick heads up - this morning my email inbox was flooded with emails that were dated from as far back as 10th May - It seems that some emails are reaching me, while others aren't! I am working to respond to the folks who, no doubt felt that we were ignoring them! I await the response from the email folks as I have no idea why this has happened! In the meantime, if you contacted us recently and got no response, please feel free to either message me on our Forum, or even Facebook, until I have confirmation that the email is running correctly. Thank you!!

Good morning and welcome to day 2 of the June SOAP event - did you manage to get around everyone yesterday ok, I know we had a few link-oopsies!

My little sample today features stamps from the Dainty Doilies larger set, I made a simple card by stamping the doily images directly on to my card front and then adding a little accent piece in the shape of a heart - I had white embossed one of the images onto vellum and punched out a heart shape, I then stamped the centre image inside the heart, layered on a button and lined it up over the doily. A little gel pen dotting and faux stitching and I was done!!

Just before you scoot off to see what everyone else is up to, I have decided to run a little comp today, I have a couple of spare July sets and I just thought, maybe, you might be interested....?

Here's the scoop - I invite you to leave a comment here to be in with a chance of winning! Tell me what you like best about stamping, is it the relaxation, the craftiness, the folks you meet through it? what do you like about it?

I will pick a random winner at the conclusion of our SOAP event - now get this - the winner will win one free set from the upcoming July release - BUT!!! and pin back your ears - If I can find you on the forum - ie, if you have ALREADY joined the forum, and by that I mean BEFORE 8:00AM this morning, my time, you will win an extra bonus set!! AND If I can find a post that you have made on the forum - ie, if you have actually posted on the forum before this time, you will win another set!!! so, the potential is there for someone to win 3 free sets!!

This will not be the last forum based comp that I run, so if you haven't joined up already, there's no time like the present!! LOL!!!  Here we are.

Now, I can't wait to see what the girls have made, here are their links!! Have fun!!

I don't have a Soap creation today!! shock, horror!! I know, but yesterday really didn't pan out the way it was supposed to... unexpected trip to the doc with a little, but thankfully some magic ointment will make it all better...

What I do have is a little sneaky of July tho'.....I know, I shouldn't, but there are 8 sets lined up for July!! One of them is my favest ever!!!! and one lucky commenter on the FB page has already won a delicious new set, BUT I can't tell you who it is, cos that's giving the game away right?? lol, anyhow, do you like my little friend at the top there? He's very close to my heart!! lol.

Right, enough waffle about July, let's take another look at May - here are the WMS DT ladies, let's see what the girls got up to!!
