...PJ Party Winner and more!

Folks we have an overall winner - our randomly chosen winner was:

Lori Tecler!

Congratulations Lori, please email us on info@waltzingmousestamps.com and we will get your prize organised!!! You win £60GBP of WMS goodies!!!

Now - to everyone else who entered the PJ party I have a special little something, let me just bend your ear for a moment to set the scene for you - I've been struggling a little with the run up to Christmas, with sick kiddos and with getting all the end of year stuff done at WMS - I completely and utterly failed to have my things made and photographed in time for the December PJ party.

I'm inching round the feeling soooo guilty that I couldn't join in, but also so thankful for the folks who did take time out of their Holiday prep to play along and so each and every one of the folks who came to our PJ party is going to get a little store gift code from me - I just want to thank you - I really appreciate your taking time to join us at WMS! Happy Christmas ladies!!

...Welcome to the December Pajama Party!

ED- Folks just when I thought little dude was all better he was sent home out of school again sick, so I'm afraid it's just not happening for me here today and I won't be able to join the party! I will have time later to get round all the entries though thank you so much for playing along!

Welcome, it's the last Pajama Party of the year, our next one will be 14th February 2015! The end of 2014 is kicking my butt, I've had little sick people for 2 weeks and with Christmas looming and end of year stuff happening at WMS I am behind with my creations for tonight's party, but I will add them here as I get them finished and I look forward to a nice warm cuppa at some point tomorrow and a chance to see what you've made - were you brave enough to tackle an ornament?

If you saw the Invite post you will be familiar with the challenges and you may even have your cards all ready to link up, but don't worry there is plenty of time to play if you are only just joining us - the links will remain open for 24 hours! (this post went live at 11:45pm - UK time on the 14th, so you have 24 hours from then!)

...Be seein' ya!

It's looking like a Pink Christmas at our  house - and folks that's probably not very PC of me but I ask you to bear with me - I'm old and decrepit and to me it's still ok to celebrate the birth of a little girl with all things pink! I'm quite happy to throw in a bit of blue also, whatever else you fancy, but there is something beautiful about shades of baby pinks and indeed baby blues and at the moment I'm in pink mode because we have a new little baby girl in the clan - I'm an auntie!

Now before I stir up a hornets nest, I am already an auntie, I have nieces and nephews on my husband's side and I love them all very much, but I was never in at the very beginning of any of them, and this one is on my side of the family - and so it's exciting to have a new branch on the tree that I was there for from the very beginning!

I am feeling seriously under-pinked though because I can't get near her - my smallest one has some sort of seasonal lurgy, indeed you may as well chalk off the month of December at ours every year as somebody is sure to be sick, if not all of us eventually.... I don't want to carry any of that down to the new poppet tho' so we are all under voluntary quarantine in that direction at present - However it's still left to me to plot for pretty frilly gifty things, and plot I will!

I've just this wee tag today, not had a chance to make much this week, with little dude off ill, but I am loving the Elf Made set, especially the cheeky sentiments.

If you are still searching for Christmas Inspiration - you could Check out this link - it will take you to all of our Christmas set and is ordered by most recent first! Have fun!

...Farewell 'Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine Special Thanks! Blog Hop

Welcome to the next stop on the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine farewell blog hop - ideally you should have come to me from the inspirational Sabrina Alery - if you have not I can direct you to the list at the end of the post which shows everyone.

Folks, I bet most of us thought this day would never come, when I first began in stamping in 2008 or so, PC was the rock that the whole stamping world seemed to be built on and I'm still reeling at the thought that it will no longer be. I was lucky enough to have a few cards picked up and even made a cover once - ok so my little Christmas tree was more background colour than front feature, but I was elated to be on a cover at all, my engine was all fired up and I could not have been happier.

I had the mag shipped over all the way to Ireland from the USA and devoured every edition. Folks featured in the mag became familiar to me, I got to know who was who, and what was what. Right now it feels like nothing is going to fill that void, but we all know it's always a good idea to:

"...accentuate the positive
eliminate the negative
Latch on to the affirmative
But don't mess with mister inbetween..."

So I am raising a virtual glass to the team of PC&S and saying Thank You! Thank you for all of the wonderful inspiration. Thank you for the encouragement. Thank you for the happy mail. Thank you for bringing us all together. Thank you for giving everyone a chance to shine. Thank you for the smell of fresh ink on unopened pages. Thank you for the Facebook chat, and, thank you for the colour co-ordinated clothes hangers... with that level of organisation, gals like yourselves will go onwards and upwards to even better things, I can't wait to see. Good luck and God Bless ladies!

Next stop on your way through the hop is the wonderful Leigh Penner

and lastly, but not leastly, thank you to Taheerah for organising this hop so beautifully.

Card details: card front is a Cut file, available for free download here. I added some patterned paper behind the 'ta' and some stamped roses from Old Country Roses behind the hearts.

...December release previews - it's tomorrow!

Evening folks, how are you? I'm putting up Christmas lights and really starting to get in the Christmas groove, you? I have these handy little tags today to show you -  today the DT and I are previewing the two new sets due for release tomorrow.

Tomorrow you will be able to see the sets in their entirety and they will be available on the store, but before I get into details, here are the DT ladies:
and very possibly also  here on the DT blog!
For my samples today I have made up a bunch of gift tags with the Vintage Postcards set - I remember saying somewhere that this was not a Christmas release...and it isn't.... these sets are really meant to be year round sets, but it's just that I'm finding the Vintage Postcard set so handy for last minute Christmas prep.

Ok, if you are anything like me, you've been pinning Vintage images for ages, but you never use them, right? There is a plethora of Vintage imagery available on the web and I found these goodies on pinterest the other day, it's a set of Santa themed postcard images and they come from Jodie Lee's blog right here in this post. - and what better way to make use of them thank to make them back into postcards!! Dinky little postcards for attaching to presents!

There is a set of cutting files to go with the Vintage postcards that will be free on the store tomorrow when the sets go live. In that digital set is a bunch of postcard shapes at standard postcard size, but also ATC size versions. I cut a bunch of the ATC size wavy edge cards out on my Silhouette and then went to town stamping the mini postcard backs onto them. The mini postcards stamp is a one-piece stamp, perfectly sized for ATC cards and you could even squeeze it onto a large tag or a gift card.
I dressed up the front with the images that I'd spotted on Pinterest. I cut the images a little smaller than my postcards to get that little frame effect like you see on some old postcards.

Turns out mini postcards are just the perfect thing for gift tags - we could make these up for any holiday or event! Hope it tickles
