First up is Beth's set - Todd Turtle:

http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=3006&categoryId=16

My card for this set features that cute crab! LOL, that is gonna be such a useful sentiment in this house... I used the Water droplets stencil from Gina K to create the background, perfect for this stamp set! this little set is jam packed with punny sentiments and cute critters!

Next up is my set - Perfect Poinsettia: It's a layering set and I have a little cheat sheet showing you how to layer these easily. Feel free to screenshot this for future reference!

If you have this set, you will notice that I kept the centres of each of the layer stamps as similar as possible so that you can just line these up over each other to get a perfect match - the video is coming tho if you need a little visual!

I have two cards for this post, for which I created a red poinsettia and a white poinsettia. Gina's inks are great for layering and you could create just about any combination of colours!

I made the green leaves behind the flowers by just re-stamping the main flower in shades of green, super simple!

My first card features Melanie's new set, Fabulous Rose Frame:

http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=3004&categoryId=16

I stamped the largest image onto white cardstock and coloured it with copics. I then trimmed it out with the matching die. I went round the outside of the image with a black copic marker so that when I mounted it on a black card base, the flowers and leaves would look like they were floating in the black. I like this look it reminds me of toleware.

The stamp has space in the centre for a sentiment and for my second card I thought I'd colour in the centre space black as well and then use the small oval die from the matching die set. I sliced around the 4 central leaves and popped them open a little so I could slide in the oval, which I gently curved. I like how this looks also.

My second set of cards features Theresa's new set The Wetlands 2:

http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=3005&categoryId=16

I stamped the simple tree shapes in versamark and clear embossed them on white card and then I got out the sponges and went crazy sponging with Gina K Inks, Passionate Pink, Wild Dandelion, Jellybean Green and Sweet Mango, I love these shades together. I wanted a nice cheery card to reinforce the feel better soon sentiment, also from the set. I sponged the card base to match and popped the image up on white and pink mats.

I couldn't resist gold embossing the dragon fly image several times on a white card front, I thin gold embossing looks fab coloured with shades of teal and green, which I used here on the dragon flies. I love this sentiment, also from Theresa's set!

Hope these tickle a little, I can't wait to get around all the other DT posts!! Don't forget to comment on all the DT posts to be in with a chance of winning a $50 Gina K Designs gift certificate!

Enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win a $50 Gina K Designs gift certificate! To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop. Ready for some inspiration? Here are a few of the projects I have created for today’s hop:

I  paired up my wise old owl with one of the papers from the Simple Things paper pack. I took my colour inspration from the paper and created a wee background for my owl using trees and bushes from the Cottage Garden set.

I love this guy with his mug of hot stuff, I made him the focal point and cut him out using the matching dies. I created a patterned BG paper by stamping all of the owls in black ink onto the
Blue lagoon cardstock.

The peony stamp is so pretty, I embossed it in gold and then just coloured it simply in pink and gold - I could see this for a wedding card also!

Here was a card you might have seen already, but in case not, I popped it in to show how the peony stamp is so detailed that you really don't even need to colour it if you need a quick card. Here it's embossed in copper.

That incentive set is going to be so useful - you'll be able to pair it up with so many of your existing Gina K sets, here I've matched it with a cupcake from my Sweet Thing stamp set.
Thanks for hopping with us folks - don't forget to comment to be in with a chance of winning a prize!

...Gina K Designs –Inspiration Blog Hop – Day 1

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous blog hop celebrating the new stamp sets by Gina K! This month, we are celebrating the release of the Boho Flowers mini kit and three other stamp sets by Gina K Designs! These sets are Wise Old Owl, Peony Wishes and the new incentive set Grand Greetings. We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs! Today, we are featuring the new Boho Flowers mini kit.
For this card I stamped the images in black ink and then clear embossed them. I used the flourishes to create a little frame for my sentiment, and then I stamped the flowers on a piece of separate card and die cut them with the dies from the kit. I popped them up on top. I love the flowers from this set, they really lend themselves to colouring and I used strong colours here to make them pop. I added the 'you' sentiment to the inside of my card, along with another flower to finish.
This set also works well with a more antique finish, that you might have seen in this card that I showed in my last post:

You will have so much fun creating so many varieties of cards using these images and sentiments. Everything that comes in the kit is shown here.

...You mean the world to me

Folks if you were at the Gina K new release party on Thursday night you might have seen this card already, I wasn't able to make the party but I think some kindly soul was able to share a couple of my cards. Gina has just released a beautiful new kit called Boho Flowers and this is a card I have made using the butterfly stamp from that kit.

I stamped the butterfly 8 times with Versamark onto white card and then added some clear embossing powder. After heating the powder to set it I coloured the detail on the butterflies with some muted shades using copics. After that I sponged some Kraft ink (Gina K Ink) over the butterflies to help define their outer edged. I simply trimmed the panel and mounted it on a black mat and then onto a kraft card base.

I die cut the word 'you' and mounted it over a little strip of white card onto which I had sponged the phrase 'mean the world to me'. I love how this came together and I'm super excited to see what else I can do with this kit. look out for our DT blog hop - think it's happening on Monday!

...Blog Title: Gina K Designs –Inspiration Blog Hop – Day 3

Well folks it's day 3 of our blog hop celebrating the new stamp sets by Gina K and the illustrator team from Gina K Designs! Don't forget to comment on each blog for your chance to win a $20 Gina K Designs gift certificate! We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs! Today, we are featuring the Chris Dayton’s first stamp set and June Incentive set “Happy Mail”.

http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=2954&categoryId=16

For my first card I stamped the lilies in Dark Chocolate ink and coloured them with copics. I decided to add a pale blue background also with a copic marker, I like how this makes the white lilies stand out all the better. There's a wealth of sentiments in this set, and I added the sentiment 'Congratulations on your adoption' I have never had a set that contained that sentiment before! How neat!

For my second card I decided to try and see what the lilies would look like coloured in with white pencil on black cardstock. I stamped first with Gina K white pigment ink. I deliberately coloured up to just before the lines so that the detail wouldn't be lost. I like the look of this, but for my card I wanted to brighten up the image a little and so I double framed it with white borders.

I cut my apertures with the stitched oval (large) and stitched rectangle (large) dies from the Gina K/Thermoweb range. I cut slightly smaller apertures with the double stitched oval (small) and stitched rectangle (small) dies and layered them in behind the white apertures to get a sort of frame, within a frame look. The green oval is Jellybean green and the rectangle is a piece of white cardstock that had been sponged with Jellybean Green and Blue Lagoon. Finally I inked up the sentiment in Fresh Asparagus and Blue Lagoon.

Our Incentive set currently is a cracking wee set called Happy Mail. Add these sentiment to the outside of your mailing envelopes, the back of cards, or use them as sentiments on your cards, this is a great addition!

You can get this set absolutely FREE - This stamp set ships free with any $75.00 order! click here for more details

... Blog Title: Gina K Designs –Inspiration Blog Hop – Day 2

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous blog hop celebrating the new stamp sets by Gina K and the illustrator team from Gina K Designs! We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs! Today, we are featuring the stamp sets by Beth Silaika and myself!

http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=2955&categoryId=16

I adore the whale in Beth's set and stamped it twice onto Gina K white cardstock. I coloured them with copics and then trimmed them out. I made a background panel by blending some Gina K Inks - I used Wild Dandelion, Jellybean Green and Blue Lagoon. I speckled the panel with some water and layered on my whales. I made some fun water spouts with pva glue - I just 'drew' the spouts freehand with the tip of my glue tube. It dried nice and clear and then I went over the spouts one last time with the glue again and this time added some white glitter, I love how this turned out.

For my dolphin card I stamped the dolphin 4 tames and coloured him up. Again I stamped on white cardstock and trimmed them out. The sentiment panel was cut out with a circle stitch die from the Gina K/Thermoweb stitched circle die set.

I'm excited about that background - I used one of the new Gina K STENCILS!!! it's called Water drop and instead of using it as a stencil, I embossed it onto white cardstock befroe sponging with Wild Dandelion and Sweet mango inks - I LOVE the look!

I arranged my dolphins around the circle to finish.

Next up - my new Lovely Lilies set.

http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=2950&categoryId=16

This is a layering set and it's quite easy to achieve different styles of flower with this set.
My first card is bold and contemporary - I used just the solid stamps to make the flower for this one. I trimmed it out and popped it up on a sponged background. I used a sentiment from Chris's new set (more on that tomorrow).

To achieve a more traditional style I used the outline stamps on the next couple of cards - I only used two of the solid layers on this flower. There's a handy graphic below that shows how to layer the solid stamps. I'm prepping a quick video on layering these.

For the card below I created my blooms in the same way, I stamped two of the solid layers in Tomato Soup and Innocent pink. Then I stamped the outlines and stamens in Dark Chocolate. The stamens were clear embossed also. The speckles were stamped in Lipstick. I layered them over some leaves and popped them up in front of a background that I created using the Cottage Garden stamp set. I thought it made a charming backdrop for this happily ever after card.

This graphic gives you an idea of how the layers work together.

I hope you have enjoyed these samples and I encourage you to pop over and see what the rest of the Gina K folks have been making. ...Gina K Designs –Inspiration Blog Hop – Day 1

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous blog hop celebrating the new stamp sets by Gina K and the illustrator team from Gina K Designs! We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs! Today, we are featuring the stamp sets by Melanie Muenchinger and Theresa Momber.

http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=2951&categoryId=16

Theresa's set is called Framescape - Tropical Skies

http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/product.sc?productId=2953&categoryId=16

Melanie's set is called Pressed Flowers 2

These stamp sets are so fun and versatile! You will be able to create amazing card projects using each individual set or by combining the images and sentiments from multiple sets from this release. Have fun and be creative!

Enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win a $50 Gina K Designs gift certificate! To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop. Ready for some inspiration? Here are a few of the projects I have created for today’s hop  - I'm going to keep the waffle to a minimum, but all inks, cardstocks and stamps are from Gina K Designs, just pop a comment on here if you need to know the details.

I made a set of 3 cards with Melanie's new set - Pressed Flowers 2 to create backgrounds with stamping and sponging - I used the tiny versions of the flowers from Fabulous flowers to create the focal points on the white panel. The sentiments are in a lovely calligraphic font, also from the new set Pressed Flowers 2.

Here they are separately:

My next card also uses Melanie's set, this time I stamped the large flower in Sweet Mango and used a brown colouring pencil to add some shadows. The background panel was stamped in Sweet Corn, and some Honey Mustard Ink and cardstocks were used for the darker tan tones on the die cut leaves and border. The matching dies are such a boon to this set!

My next samples are made with Theresa's set Framescape - Tropical Skies

I used the main frame for this card and stamped in in black. I did all my sponging before stamping the setting sun in versamark and adding some white embossing powder. Then I took a white gel pen and added some highlights to my silhouetted images.

Been on a bit of a sponging bent and so created this background with some yummy shades - Wild Dandelion, Passionate Pink and Sweet Mango. Dropped some water splats because that's what all the cool kids are doing these days and I like how it looks. I cut a rectangle from the centre of the panel and then stamped my palm trees and setiment on it. Added a black mat and stuck it back in position. Fast card, but nice impact.

Super simple one, a simple strip of Wild Dandelion cardstock sponged around the edges with sweet mango - then stamped with a small island image and some birdies and a simple sentiment.

The black cardstock base was run through the embosser with one of the newest Gina K products - a stencil called Water droplets - it embossed quite well even though that's not really what it is intended for. Try it!
