First up is my Mermaid card made with Beth's adorable set Vicky Mermaid
I created a watery background by stamping off some Blue Lagoon and Jelly Bean Green ink pads onto some clear acetate (front cover of a stamp set is great for this). I spritzed it heavily with water and then laid my watercolour paper on top of it and kinda smooshed it around. Once dry I cut it to size and stamped and coloured some of the seaweed details from the set. The mermaid and seahorse were stamped on Gina K luxury card, coloured with copics and then fussy curt - I use a scalpel.
OK I have rather a lot of cards for you, some you may have seen at the party and some you might have spotted in the video for my Cottage Garden set.

This is the card that is featured in my video - an Introduction to Cottage Garden. It's a card that looks complicated but is actually very simple to create - You can see how in the video here - if you haven't subscribed to my youtube channel - I invite you to do so, I have another video for Cottage Garden in the works that you might find helpful :
Most of my Cottage Garden cards featured today can be made using the example in the video so it's well worth a watch.
for this card below I use the cottage, trees and hedges only. It's very simple but quite a pretty layout and depending on the colours you choose it can be made to suit any time of the year or the mood of any occasion.
You don't have to use the cottage, the garden gate works perfectly well on it's own. I used a shape from the cutting files (available from my dropbox here) to mask the cloud shape and just sponged lightly around the edge.
I used the same masking technique as in the video to add the large tree behind the house.
The cottage looks pretty set into an aperture and you can go mad with the colours - the vintage styling on the set really lends itself to off-the-wall colour choices.
