...and Gallery Winner is....

Ed - I haven't forgotten about my little extra gallery prize, but I haven't finished looking through all the albums yet!! I will post the winner when I've done that!!

Lucy Carlson

you win SIX stamp sets of your choice from the WMS store!

pop me an email with your deets!!!

claire.brennan1@ntlworld.com

I am having a lovely time browsing all of the cards and projects that have been uploaded to the Gallery and I have decided to award another little prize tomorrow - It will take me until tomorrow to finish looking through, but I will pick out a little winner, I'm not looking for technical merit! I am just going to pounce on something that catches my eye, and 'tickles'!!!

Till tomorrow ladies!! Thank you all fr populating our gallery, I do hope you all keep it up, it is a terrific source of inspiration and I wouldn't rule out the odd gallery based prize!!! We all like surprises!

...Tonight

Around 7pm, I will draw the winner of the Gallery competition. The randomly chosen winner will receive SIX stamp sets of their choice.

Since it literally only takes a few clicks to get your self an album in our gallery you still have time if you haven't set one up already. Go HERE and register, top right, where it says 'Register' in orange - it's a different program to the forum so your forum deets won't get you in, but it's just as simple to register. If you need uploading help or info, look here.

I have to say I am so impressed with all of the albums already there and I am looking forward to having a good rummage later after I make the draw, I might just pop a few wee bonus set for anything that particularly catches my eye...

...hijacking the sporadic stamper

See this card? It was made by Kate over at her Blog. I could not resist hijacking it. I should have asked permission, but it seems to have been a week for 'borrowing'...LOL...sure hope she doesn't mind. Truth is, I kinda know Kate...I had the pleasure of meeting up with her and her folks when they came over here on vacation last year, so I'm relying on that fact to save me from getting 'told off' for pinching her card.

Kate is lovely, she is one of those hugely talented cardmakers that crafts away, not blowing her own trumpet, quietly stunning everyone who chances to find her blog.

You must go there, now. Start here you have no idea what delights are waiting on you, you also need to see what she did with PTI's recent autumn leaves, just keep scrolling...don't forget to add her to your google reader/followers widget....

hope that's ok Kate....LOL

Anyhow, I could not resist the colours, Kate has just captured Autumn and put it on a card for me and it doesn't hurt that she used a WMS stamp either! lol.

...craftsman next door

Ed, cheers Heather, but it's the DH belonging to the lady next door! LOL! just to clear up any confusion! lol

If you've ever been on my facebook page, you might have heard me saying that I'd love to move to a bigger house, but I'd need to take my neighbours with me, well I wasn't kidding, I have the very best neighbours, they're just the loveliest folks.

Now the man of the house next door doesn't think that he's crafty but he is, he makes these clocks among other things. He makes all sorts of wee clocks, some have smooth finishes like this one and some are fashioned from pieces of tree trunk with the bark still on them, he made fabby wee tabletop decorations for his daughters wedding and there were some cracking little night light holders.

Now I'm a pushover for wooden stuff, my dad was a joiner by trade (that's like a carpenter to you US ladies) and I think these wee clocks are brill and I just thought I'd pop a wee pic up on my blog to show you - see, real craftsmanship is still alive and well in Ireland!

...oh you just HAVE to see this!!

I sure hope Carita doesn't mind, I pinched this from her blog (which is pretty nifty, you should check it out!) Look where the guys from Half Pint Heroes ended up!!! lol!! Her little dude took 'the guys' for a joy ride!!! lol

Scroll down for the gallery competition!

...Gallery competition!

Good evening folks!!!

You may, or may not know that we have a WMS Gallery that everyone can browse (you will need to register to upload pics) In our gallery there are 4 main places to visit for inspiration:
  • Stamp samples Gallery (samples arranged by Stamp set)
  • Design Team Gallery, (samples arranged by Design Team Member)
  • Mischief Makers Gallery (samples arranged by Mischief Maker)
and our Gallery for friends of Waltzingmouse stamps - you folks, hopefully ;)
  • WMS Friends Galleries
At the end of September I'm gonna randomly pick one lucky gallery owner from the WMS Friends Galleries to win their choice of 6 large stamp sets from Waltzingmouse Stamps!!

It's simple, here's what will happen:

On Thursday the 30th September I will randomly pick (using that random org thingy) one Album owner from the Albums contained here:

WMS Friends Galleries

In order to qualify for the draw, Albums must contain photos of your creations which have used WMS product: stamps/templates/digital papers and free product such as free templates all qualify. Naturally we don't exclude the use of other products, part of the fun is putting random things together, but since we're all browsing the gallery looking for ideas on how to use our WMS, we love to see creations where the WMS is fairly obvious! lol.

If you have used WMS stamps on any of your creations and would like to start your own WMS album, then I encourage you to do so here at the THE GALLERY. (Instructions below)

Anya, our Gallery angel, has made out these simple instructions for registering at the gallery and opening your own album:

1. Click on the link for the Waltzingmouse Gallery. This will take you to the main gallery page. Here you can browse the galleries by Stamp Set, Design Team members, or WMS Friends (you!).

2. You need to create an account within the Gallery program before you can create your own album. Click on the ‘Register’ link in the upper right corner. Fill in the required fields and click the ‘Register’ button.

3. Upon submission, you will be presented a confirmation message containing instructions to activate your account. An activation email will be sent to the email address you provided. Follow the instructions in the email, which provides a link for final account activation.

4. When you receive the account activation message, you have successfully completed the registration process!

5. Click the ‘Login’ link in the upper right corner. Enter username and password, and click the ‘Login’ button.

6. When you are ready to upload your photos, click the ‘Your Album’ link in the upper right corner. That takes you to your personal album, which is currently empty.

7. To upload photos to your album, you can either click ‘Add a Photo’ in the center of your screen (for first time users) or ‘Add Items’ from the left side menu (for returning users).

8. Click the ‘Browse’ button to choose a photo from your computer. It is not necessary to complete the Captions field. Click the ‘Add Items’ button to upload your photo.

9. To change your photo title or to add additional information, click ‘Edit Captions’ from the left side menu. You have the option to add a summary, keyword, and description. It is not necessary that you complete this information, but keywords are helpful when searching for an item in the gallery.

I have to be honest, so far my own album is not full!! but I'm hoping to get that up to date soon and spend some time browsing the gallery, now and again I catch a glimpse of some of the gems waiting to be discovered in the gallery! Just tonight I spotted the most wonderful, autumnal nutcracker!!! Must go search it out and soak up the deets!!

Looking forward to having a good ole rummage soon!!!LOL!

If it's Tuesday, this must be...

... Belgium? Raise your hand if you remember and/or ever saw that movie? I honestly don't think I ever did... it debuted in 1969 when I was a mere child (no, really!), but the name sure has stuck in my head. In my case, if it's Tuesday, this must time for Lisa the Mousekeeper to come out of hiding and finally announce the winners from the September Friends of Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz! lol

The winner of a stamp set of choice drawn from all those who participated in the waltz is Antje!

The winner of a stamp set of choice drawn from all those who correctly guessed that the subject of one of our October stamp sets is poinsettias is Monique!

Congratulations Ladies! Please email Claire at claire.brennan1@ntlworld.com with your stamp set choice and address, and Claire will mail your prize right out to you!

Thanks to all who Waltzed with us this month! Be sure to mark your calendar for October 17th for our next Waltz. The theme will be Autumn/Harvest.

Oh, and before I sign off, I found the clues for poinsettias in this post, just in case you want to know a few facts about the ever popular Christmas plant... like why Mexico and California were clues! lol

Have a fabby day!

...phew

Well after a quiet day in the middle of last week I thought I'd be in for a nice lazy weekend!!! How wrong I was. There was a veritable elbow fight in the store as last week's release got a second wind and I have been shipping pretty much non-stop since!!!

Shipping notices are wayyyy late even the US gals might see their stamps before the notices are all out!! I am sorry, I do prefer to send out the notices as soon as I ship but at release time I make the shipping the number 1 priority!!!

I'm thinking that I might get the chance to sit down and send them all tomorrow, but rest assured I'm nearly caught up, I have some orders from today to ship in the morning, everything else is gone!! :)

...just...in time!

Just squeezing in by the skin of my teeth here!!! Been up to my ears in envelopes and tissues (last weekend's release and the back-to-school virus, ugh!)

I love Blog Waltz and so don't like to miss it, but what to make? what to make?....

Aha! the old standby - luminaries!!! Simple pimple! Seriously - Take one stamp - the gothic window from Midnight Feast! Stamp it 4 times in a row on vellum - I used linen textured vellum from PTI, fabby stuff. I trimmed out all my windows in a long row and stuck the ends together!! see??? literally seconds of work!!

ok, so it won't blow your mind compared to some of the fabby Halloween creations I have peeped at today but at least I get to join in!! LOL! Here's where to look:

ooh and Lisa and the girls are running a competition!!!Check it out!

NOTE!!! Battery tea lights ladies!!!!Please!

Right, off to snoop around and catch up on what I've missed!

Hope it tickles!

...wait for me!!!

I'm trying to get something done for our WMS blog waltz...been a bit under the weather and yesterday and today...but I'm nearly there, need darkness to photograph it tho'...back later!!!

Here's the deets.
