August '09 release Sneak Peek 1

Welcome to the start of the sneak peeks for the August releases - these posts are scheduled to show up while I'm away - so bear with me - hoping I've set it up right!!

I have been delighted at the response to the Celtic sets from last month, very many thanks to all of my customers!!

Right now I am in Mayo - agonizing over who will be on my DT!! - lol, you have permission to feel very sorry for me because this is no easy decision!! hoping to make an announcement on that just after the release, I have planned for DT positions to commence in October.

There are 4 sets this month!!!! that's a lot of drawing, lol - I hope you see something that tickles here, these are all sets that have been floating around in my head for a while now - things I wanted for myself - here's hoping some of you like them too! lol.

All of the sets follow the same format as before and come on English A5 size carrier sheets. I like this particular format, it keeps everything simple for now, all my sets are the same price at present, retailing at £13 sterling - check out XE.com to see what the approximate cost in your local currency.

I'm excited about this release because they deal with some of my very favourite things!!! Today's image is pretty obvious, but I can't wait to show you the whole thing!!!!!

The sneak peeks will run from now till the 1st August- I will be home on the 1st and projects will be on show the following week - I have 4 sets to get through, so the projects may run for a week!! lol, can you stand it??

Hope it tickles

...on a wee break

Had hoped to have some cards to put up for you all to look at while I'm away but failed miserably! lol.

The good news is that I have scheduled some sneak peeks for the second week if you fancy popping in to look at them!!

Look forward to catching up with you all for the big release at the start of August!!

...oh look!!!!! a card!! lol

It's been a while!!!

Absolutely fabulous Cosmo Cricket papers from Beverly at Precious Scraps that I have been meaning to use for ages and didn't have time.

Had an hour (!!) last night and rustled this up - I deliberately didn't colour the wee cottage because I didn't want it to fight with the papers, I think I like this muted approach to a focal point.

Stamped in smokey Grey ink - Versafine. Lovely stuff, and then distressed and stitched away, dreaming that I was distantly related to Debbie Olson!! lol. I wish!

Anyhow, hope it tickles. Going to try (she said) and make a few more cards for while I'm away and also I might leave you all with some sneak peeks - got a lot to show you!! (FOUR sets when I get back) I'm hoping to have them all in stock upon my return so I should be able to kick off the release soon as I get back!!

Stamps are from the Irish Blessings set (soon to be back in stock).

Scroll down for DT info you might have missed.

...no idea

I had no idea, when I advertised for a DT, how many, many lovely, talented people would express an interest. This is going to be the toughest decision I have had to make in a long time.

It is going to take a while for me to get through the applications as I am also currently getting the combined July/August release ready!!!! oh my! I can't wait.

So, I will leave the DT application process open for the moment, - DT members will not be expected to take up positions before the September release at the earliest, more likely October.

I am slowly wading through blogs and galleries, I'm not leaving comments simply because I'm really pressed for time, but I've bookmarked a stack to visit regularly.

I'm very much regretting that I will have to chose only 3 or 4 people from a vast pool (currently approx 150 applications) of talent. I mention this so's you folks will appreciate how tough it is gonna be for me to chose. I so wish I could cram everyone in, but that would be impossible.

I have no formal criteria for choosing folks other than the primary aim of having a DT, which for me, means reaching as many people as possible, in a nice way.

I am going with gut feeling here, It is not for me to judge talent, all I can do is go with the applications that 'just click' and feel right at this moment.

I will close applications at the end of this week and I will then take the two weeks of my holidays to mull everything over. After that I will try and respond to everyone who applied. I thank you for your patience.

Store news

Yet again the Celtic Heritage and Irish Blessings sets sold out!! and I am awaiting new stock, most likely due end of this week.

Orders placed after Thursday 16th of July will not ship until 3rd August due to the fact that I will be on holiday.

I am leaving my brother to house sit while we go on holiday but he's not keen to take on the upkeep of my business, couldn't blame him, I wouldn't like to have to take over driving his 40 footer!

I will be getting some scheduled posts ready for my absence - maybe a few sneak peeks!!

really must make a card this week...lol...

...little help please, lol, Design team needed!!

ED - please leave me a name or contact if you need a reply - I've had questions and got no-one to send answers to!!

Anyone fancy being on a design team?

Just wondered, lol. I'm inviting you to email me with a wee bit of info on yourself and a link to your blog if you think you might be interested. I have no idea how many people I'm looking for or what I need you to do but I will reply with deets to interested parties in around a week.

I don't need you to make anything special, I want to see your everyday stuff on your blog and you don't need to have used my stamps or even been a customer.

Anyone tickled?

...so, where is she?

Since I have nothing photographable yet, here are some pics of a place we visited a few week-ends ago - It's the Quoile Countryside centre, close to Downpatrick - very pretty wee spot for a pic-nic.

I am just a teensy bit busy getting things ready for my next release - the reason for this is that since the family holiday happens in July I can't have a release in July!!! and I lose about two weeks of crafting time!!!! AAAArrrggghhh!

Hang on to your headgear tho' because what this means for my little stamp company is that I'm going to release my next sets in the first week of August!! and there will probably be more than 2 sets!!!! (I'm hoping to release 4) woohoo! Sort of a July/August release all rolled into one!

So you can appreciate that the little blog-o is a tad empty right now. Not for long tho' - couple more things I want to show you in a day or two.
